 + 0 moreHe did a nice job. He seems to know what he is doing. When I used him for the job, I hired him over for about a three month period. He did a very nice job on the countertop. The price was expensive. I would use him again in the future if necessary.
Description of Work: I used Steve Kelsey to remodel a rental house for me. He made a countertop from scratch using laminate.

 + 2 moreMatt Higgins came out and gave me an estimate for the job. The job took him 3 days. He was professional and friendly. He did trim work in our bedroom and bathroom and did an outstanding job. He did a great job painting and installing two new mirrors and new lighting in our master bathroom. He had one person helping him who also did a good job and was professional and friendly as well. They cleaned up their mess and I thought the pricing was very fair in comparison to other quotes I had gotten. I would recommend Matt to anyone needing residential work done.
Description of Work: Crown molding installed in bedroom and master bathroom, painting of master bedroom and master bathroom, rewiring new lighting in master bath, installed new mirrors, and replaced two ceramic tiles.

 + -1 moreHe took out the carpeting and installed the tile. He told me where I could find the cheapest ceramic tile. He suggested how I could have the tile installed and it looks good. He had to go around a drain in the floor, the furnace, and underneath the water heater. It looks great.
Description of Work: He installed ceramic tile in the basement, about 400 sq ft.

 + -1 moreThis winter our gutters were frozen. We called because it was leaking inside. He came immediately. He knew what the problem was. He put in a heater in the gutter. He hooked it up, so the ice dam would thaw. This was an emergency. He came out with the equipment necessary. He hooked it up and was able to take care of everything. He explained that it was an unusual winter and explained how we could prevent it in the future and was very professional.

 + 0 moreThe wood was rotten. We got estimates from other companies and they stated the window was beyond repair and that I would have to replace the entire window. He was able to take out the old rotten window and replace the panes. We wanted to keep the mullions for aesthetic reasons and were able to do so.

Description of Work: Steve Kelsey came over and gave an estimate for kitchen carpentry work on the day of my phone call. I believe he used his lunch time from a nearby job to accomplish this. I eventually chose another contractor to do the work, but I will consider Mr. Kelsey for future projects.
