STAPLES

I purchased a new computer that was defective.  They did not stand behind it.  I received conflicting stories from their service dept.  Management did not return my phone calls. 

The store seems disorganized, is not "intuitively" laid out, and although several people were apparently working at the time of my visit, no one asked or offered to be of assistance.

They have a great selection of ink. Overall service is lower than what you would expect. Unless you walk up to them they ignore you. They are very nice at check out. You have to find someone to get help.

This is where I'll continue to go to make photocopies. You use the machine. You pay. You go. They're friendly & it's a simple system; easy in & out. Someone is usually nearby to help if needed.

I PURCHASED A CHAIR AT STAPLES LOCATED IN THE GLENDALE SHOPPING CENTER. UPON ASSEMBLING IT AT HOME, IT WAS FOUND TO BE DEFECTIVE BECAUSE THE WHEELS WOULD NOT FIT PROPERLY INTO THE BASE. I RETURNED IT TO THE STORE, AND, AFTER MUCH DIFFICULTY, FINALLY ASKED TO SEE A MANAGER WHO REPLACED THE CHAIR WITH ONE ALREADY ASSEMBLED. A MONTH LATER, I PURCHASED A DESKJET INK CARTRIDGE FOR WHICH I DID NOT SAVE THE RECEIPT. THE WARRANTY BY THE MANUFACTURER ON THESE IS 6 MONTHS. I HAD TO CONTACT THE ONLINE PRINTER MANUFACTURER TO DIAGNOSE THE PROBLEM, THINKING IT WAS A PRINTER FAILURE SINCE I HAD JUST REPLACED BOTH INK CARTRIDGES. THIS HAS COST ME A LOT OF TIME AND TROUBLE, AND I HAVE HAD TO REQUEST PAST BANK CARD STATEMENTS TO SHOW RECEIPT OF THIS PURCHASE TO TRY AND GET A REFUND OR REPLACEMENT. SEEMS STRANGE THAT THIS ONE STORE IS REPEATEDLY THE SOURCE OF DEFECTIVE PRODUCTS. ALL I CAN SAY IS, IF YOU BUY SOMETHING AT THIS STORE, SAVE ALL YOUR RECEIPTS. I THINK I AM SHOPPING ELSEWHERE.
