Fantastic job! Three days from start to finish: minimal excavation and disruption to the yard and a friendly, fast, and professional team. They asked if they needed clarification for anything, were clear and prompt with communication, no run around trying to get them here. No more root-clogged pipes! It was fascinating to see them put in the new pipe liners and watch on the video as the machine cured the pipe in place. Thanks again to Steve, Chase, and Sam for their hard work and getting it done so well.

They were very knowledgeable. They were very professional. They cleaned up after themselves and left no mess, even when this is normally a really mess job. Very professional. Very please overall.

The initial work was poor with the drainage lines not extended as far as promised and the cutter clean-out improperly positioned.  However, after calling the owner and providing my comments, the owner came to the property and inspected the work.  The owner agreed that the work was not satisfactory, and immediately promised to remedy the issues.  The owner arrived the next week with his crew and took care of the issues.  Additional work was also performed for a reduced charge.  Because the owner was willing to remedy the issues with the original job, he appears to be fair and interested in making sure the job is done correctly.
One issue to note is that the lawn sprinkler lines were inadvertently cut when the work was performed in the fall of 2014.  When the sprinkler system was restarted in the spring of 2015, I had to pay the sprinkler company to repair the lines that were cut.

"The work we did at this house went very smoothly. The only reason we excavated a single point was to remove a root ball that blocked off 100% of the pipe and was about 3' long. There was absolutely no water making it through and no way to clean it out. I'm puzzled why we didn't get A's. Please let us know what happened and what we could do to earn the top grade. 812-583-3566"

My realtor found him for us.? He said he would provide a written report and DVD of the inspection. He had to reschedule the first appointment because his equipment was "not working".? He reports that he showed up a few days later, but neither the seller, buyer, or realtor were present for his "inspection." He called my realtor after his "inspection" claiming that he could not pass his camera through, and there was a severely offset joint at the first joint from clean-out towards the sewer.? He claimed that he could not pass his camera through.? He claims that he could not take photographs or images because there was standing water in the pipes, and the camera can't take images through standing water.? Since he could not pass the camera through, he could not image the remainder of the pipes, and there could be damage in other locations as well.? He gave a quote for about $2500 to do the repairs, and once repaired, he could image the remainder of the line. The seller had no plumbing issues at all, so we felt a second opinion was in order. He only sent me a written report after several emails requests about a week later. The second plumber had no problem passing the camera through.? There were no offset joints.? There was no damage to the line, and there was nothing that needed repairs. He agreed that if the second opinion did not corroborate his findings, then we would not have to pay.? We did not pay.

"While inspecting this property I just couldn't get the camera to make the turn. Some different camera's that are more flexible could probably make it through as I believe they did after my attempt. From what I seen at the time of inspection I recommended to reset the cleanout so that the rest of the line could be inspected. That was my professional opinion at the time of inspection. I told the owner, realtor and the buyer what time and when I would be there, when I arrived there wasn't anyone there. I called the realtor, owner and buyer after I left and explained what was going on and how to fix it extensively. They all seemed to understand what was going on. Since the pipe was all under water where my camera was there was no video or pictures that would've provided any evidence of my report. After voicing their frustrations I told them to get a second opinion and that I wouldn't charge them for the work that I did at the house. I feel that I was fair to all parties."

We live in Meridian-Kessler and watched two neighbors on our block endure the inconvenience and stress of sewer line collapses and back-ups into their basements.  In order to prevent the same fate for us, we decided to be proactive and have our sewer line redone before we had any problems.  The gentlemen at SLB were amazing -- they were incredibly responsive to our questions, our schedules, and our concerns.  They were able to dig a small hole (approximately 3 x 4 feet) in the concrete basement floor and they cleaned and relined the sewer line from that access point (they even rolled up our carpet and moved our basement furniture for us!).  The job took two days (each about 1/2 day) with no interruption to our home life (all work was completed while we were at work).  We now have a re-lined sewer line with a 50 year guarantee with no mess, no damage to our yard or landscaping, and all at a fraction of the cost of traditional methods. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone.

Joel and his partners were very professional and easy to work with. We were impressed that they are engineers not plumbers. We would highly recommend this trenchless relining process as an alternative to anyone contemplating the replacement of a sewer line.

The project went well.  About three years ago we had already replaced 2/3 of the clay piping outside with PVC piping.  However, we still had about 1/3 of the clay pipe that remained because 1) it was beneath retaining walls and stairs made out of pavers we did not want to dismantle and 2) the tree roots had not destroyed it and it was in decent shape. We figured we could just get is cleaned out every year or so as long as we monitored it closely.
So then we had problems with our interior cast iron plumbing buried under the basement concrete floor that had deteriorated to the point some of the piping was gone and we had to get the line snaked periodically.  Problems continued to escalate to the point we were calling a plumber once a week at $200.  So we had to cut out the concrete and replace the plumbing. Since the concrete floor was going to be cut out where the line went outside, we figured it was an ideal time to either replace the remaining 30 ft of clay pipe by pipe bursting or use the Curied in Place Piping (CIPP).  With the floor open in a 4 ft x 4 ft area where it goes out, we could use CIPP without any exterior excavation as we would have had with pipe bursting.  After researching CIPP, I felt comfortable using this solution.  One of the plumbing companies in town is able to do both the PVC plumbing in the basement floor and the CIPP solution for the exterior clay piping.  However, two days before the project, the plumbing company called to say their CIPP expert was out with an injury and it would be a few weeks.  I respect that they called to tell me but I couldn't wait until the holidays to do this major project.  That's when I checked Angie's list and saw that SLB was on the list.  The next morning I also called Perma-Liner in Florida, the company that developed the product (it has a 50 year warranty) and asked for companies authorized to install their product in Indianapolis.  The President of the company recommended SLB, even though they are a small company compared to the large plumbing companies.  We contacted SLB that morning to describe our project and Eric was out right away to check it out and answer our questions.  SLB was also able to make the final connection to the inside PVC plumbing.  Their installation was within one week of our phone call.  I feel this company has more experience with CIPP installations than anyone else in town.  I had also obtained a quote on CIPP from another plumbing company. The sales guy did not seem experienced with some of the issues, such as the fact that the line going out from the foundation was 3 inches and had to be connected to a 6 inch clay pipe. SLB indicated they were familiar with these situations-usually you pull the 3 inch cast iron and install a 6 inch sleeve to match up to the 6 inch clay pipe and then you CIPP the entire section to form  into one continuous pipe.  And that's what happened -which reinforces SLB's experience.

SLB did not submit the lowest bid, but their concern, expressed on their web site, for causing minimal damage to customers? property, their proposed pipeline route down my crushed stone driveway with replacement of stone for a virtually invisible project, and their promised 20-year guarantee caused me to accept their bid.  I have asked them on five occasions for a written statement of their guarantee but have not received it.  I knew that they would need to destroy significant perennial plantings between the septic tank and the driveway.  On the day before construction was to begin, the owner/construction manager showed up and told me he couldn?t use the driveway route.  Problems with angling the pipe at the end of the driveway and with utility line routing were cited.  All utilities were at the margins of the driveway, except the telephone line, which crossed the drive obliquely.  He requested an alternate route through my woods ? potentially a straight shot to the street because of historic clearance of trees for overhead power lines.  The route had become densely populated by small trees and bushes over the years.  I was reluctant but envisioned a path about the width of a Bobcat (3-4 feet), which would have been almost invisible from my house, because several of my neighbors? contractors had used a Bobcat.  Imagine my shock when I came out to view the project next morning and found a 25-foot wide ?road? which had been carved through my woods all the way to the street and a 9-foot wide access through bushes and ground cover from the driveway to construction site.  There was nothing I could do at that point.  Interestingly, they managed to sever my electric power line, my water supply line (not marked, but I told them approximately where it runs), and the cable to my TV antenna.  At my insistence, they rented a chipper and shredded most of the bushes and small trees but still left many of them at the edges of the ?road? for me to remove.  The ground over the excavation site was deeply furrowed in places, and the edges of the site were left with large clumps of dirt.  This was a major problem at the street, where I must re-landscape immediately.  I cannot afford re-landscaping costs for the whole project, which would exceed my payment to SLB, and I will have to live with this major destruction of my property for years to come.  The sewer does drain adequately.

These guys did a great job installing a new pipe liner at my home.  Very professional and finished the job in one day.
No hard sales ---like the other company that called me every day for a week......and the best part--no digging outside!
thanks for a great experience.

I called SLB to provide a second opinion and estimate on the job of replacing the sewer line. They promptly came out the next day to provide the estimate free of charge. Everyone involved was very professional. In contrast to the other plumbing company I called, there was no "hard sell," and, in fact, they saved me a good deal of money by telling me that I didn't need to have some extra work from the first estimate done. I was very confident in their level of knowledge and quality of advice. Their price beat the competitor, they had a longer warranty on the new line, and they were able to get the work done over a week faster than the first company would have been able to do. They also didn't have to dig a hole in my yard, which company #1 was going to do. They did a good job with the cleanup afterwards, and I have nothing but positive comments about them, except that they could have considered giving me a slight discount for referring my neighbor for similar work on the same day that they did my job.
Definitely recommended if you need this type of work done. Thanks for your good work and advice, SLB!

Eric arrived right on time with his equipment and started the inspection process.  A computer is hooked up a camera and the "snake" lowered down the pipeline.  He started going toward the house first and then reversed and headed to the main line toward the street.  Whenever he saw something questionable, he would pause and take a photo.  The whole inspection is recorded and there is a measurement count on the screen so if there was a need for repair it could be narrowed down to the approximate location.  Whenever I had a question, he would pull the camera back so we could get a better look.  Lucky for me the line was all clear and there was no blockage.  Definately worth the money to have peace of mind.  I will have this type of inspection done on any future home purchases and will recommend to my family and friends to do the same.

I had to use trenchless to avoid tearing up my entire porch.  Although the price seemed high, I called other plumbers (the few that do trenchless in Indiana) and their estimates were even higher.  Being unfamiliar with trenchless repair, I called Permaliner, the company that creates the trenchless liner, and they recommended SLB Pipe Solutions.  Although a smaller company, they were very professional and did an outstanding job.  They ran into a large problem in the middle of the trenching process, but stayed until midnight to ensure the job was completed.  I highly recommend them.
