We were in urgent need of service on a malfunctioning wind sensor that was causing our awning to roll out and retract of its own accord. The office staff responded right away to get a technician out to assess the situation and fix or remove the wind sensor before we left on vacation. Although the wind sensor could not be fixed, they were able to address our immediate need, as well as tweak our awning while they were here. I can't thank them enough for their service. Very pleased to continue working with them.

The awing itself is very good. Only the company hardly ever return your service call. After installation, which I have to wait for 2 more month., they worked well until one of the them stop moving. I call the company multiple time and left message, didn't get fix. Now it is more than 6 months, still not fix yet!

Ordered in May and paid 50% deposit. Can’t get a clear answer regarding delay and now they aren’t even returning calls. I would not do business with them.

In May of this year, we contacted Shade by Design for a solution to prevent rain from entering our porch during storms. and quot;Michelleand quot; who is no longer with the company recommended a vertical drop. We made a downpayment of $997.00. We were told it would be installed in 2 -3 weeks. After several months of excuses, the drop was FINALLY installed on 8/25 and the balance of $997.00 was paid.
Following is our experience:
9/8 - The shade would not operate - after being told what and quot;we could do to fix itand quot; - they did come and make the repair
9/10 - After a rain storm, the porch was SOAKED - I contacted Kevin Drake ... after several attempts, Kevin finally came - left a note that he had sealed a gap.
9/20 - I attempted to lower the shade in anticipation of storms.... It would not lower all the way - and then when I attempted to raise it, it became stuck and now hangs at an angle from our home....will not go up or down.
Multiple calls and texts were made to Kevin on 9/22, 9/24, 9/26, 9/27, and 9/29.. On 9/24 - Kevin did reply that someone would be out before the end of the week.... That was last week.....still no response.
I would STRONGLY recommend NOT even considering using this company.
Legal action appears to be our only recourse along with all the negative advertising that we will be doing on their behalf!

They were awesome. I would give them an A+. They came out and consulted with us. They were wonderful to work with. They were a great company. I would recommend them highly to people. They called after the were done a month after they had left and checked to see if we had any questions and if everything was working properly. Their price was definitely competitive. They were the best-priced for everything that we wanted.

I called to setup an estimate and they were able to come out right away (within 4 days) and I was given a quote on the spot after he took measurements. Once we ordered it took about 8 weeks to have them installed. They installed the awnings in a few hours and went through the operation of the remote and sensors with my wife and me. The window unit had not been programmed at the shop to work with the wind/sun sensors so they came back about a week later to program it. Now when the sun comes out, so do the awnings, when it goes down, the awnings roll up, if it gets too windy, the awnings put themselves away. I can also put them up or down anytime I want with the remote or by manually cranking them. The installers were polite, professional and definitely knew what they were doing. My installation had an unexpected challenge and they were able to run back to the shop quickly, fabricate a couple of pieces and get the job done. You cannot tell that anything out of the ordinary was done with the install - they look great.

The work was on time, with a quality install, including electrical work. We are very happy with the product.

Their price was very competitive and the service was great! They were very knowledgeable and hard working. There was no mess afterwards either! We were able to pick the awning that worked best for us and they had a great selection.
