Everything went well. They were on time, they got the basement dried up for the contractors to do the carpet and I was very pleased.

Work was performed as scheduled and very satisfactory.

Tue 7/21/2015 1:05 PM Allen from ServiceMaster called 317-205-4683 said he would move me up from Thursday to Wednesday they will be out around 9:00 AM 7/22/2015 Wed 7/22/2015 8:30 AM ServiceMaster called to say they would be here in about 25 minutes. Arrived and started packing my belongings up. Thu 7/23/2015 8:30 AM ServiceMaster called to say they would be here in about 25 minutes. Arrived and continued packing my belongings up. Then they started removing baseboards, cutting out wet drywall, and removing wet carpet. Fri 7/24/2015 Setup dehumidifers and fans to dry out everything ServiceMaster left around 10:30 AM. Sat 7/25/2015 Drying out Sun 7/26/2015 Drying out Mon 7/27/2015 3:43 PM Anne Goetz (insurance adjustor) 450-1744 Cell 569-6008 called to check us and to get ServiceMasters phone number. Tue 7/28/2015 8:00 AM Tommie from ServiceMaster called and said they would be out in about 25 minutes to remove blowers and dehumidifiers. They arrived about 8:25 and immediately started checking humidity levels and then removed the equipment. He told me the reconstruction people would be calling to arrange the work. Wed 7/29/2015 to 8/12/2015 No communication from ServiceMaster so I called ServiceMaster left message Thu 8/13/2015 Anne Goetz came to the house to see the work ServiceMaster had done. Fri 8/14/2015 Allen from SereviceMaster returned my call and said I could call someone else to do the work (if I wasn;t happy with the wait). He said we would have to wait on the carpet. I said the carpet would be the last thing to be done and I could get carpet laid in a day. Sat 8/15/2015 to Wed 9/2/15 No word from ServiceMaster. Wed 9/2/2015 I called ServiceMasters corporate office @ 800-954-9444. 9/4/2015 I called ServiceMasters corporate office @ 800-954-9444 and spoke with ??? He said he was working on a quote with Anne and that they did not know I wanted them to do the renovation. He made excuses about them having to work with the insurance. Anne Goetz had already given approval. I asked him if he thought I was an idiot. For 5 weeks our home was torn apart in the master bath, walkin closets, hallways, 2 downstairs bedrooms, & hallway. Plus since I allowed them to store my belongings in my home I did not have use of our home theater, family room, living room and other areas that boxes and furniture and glassware were stored. A ServiceMaster employee told me that they were working on other jobs. We hired another contractor to do the renovation in the house.. Bottom line they came out did an excellent job remediating the water damage and then never came back to put the house back together. THEREFORE THE GRADE IS F

Alan Pope is hard to reach and when he promises something it rarely happened like he said it would. He was reluctant to challenge the insurance companies estimate. Frankly I don't think he put much effort into doing an analysis of the insurance estimate as compared to our discussion regarding the repair work. Furniture did come back clean and the work force was extremely helpful in getting the items put back where they belong. Still waiting to hear about our piano. I was told it would take a week and it has now been nearly two months.

The workers who performed the work did a great job and worked very hard, but the management was terrible before signing the authorization paper work management was responsive to all of my calls and concerns but after signing the paper work authorization sheet I was unable to contact or receive a call back from management. I will give the workers a B for their work and would give management a F for their lack of customer service, I would not use this company again!!!!!

They were very prompt and boarded up a large hole in our sunroom.

They did a poor job and did more damage. They charged us like 16000$. I would say to anyone not to sign their contract that says they can charge whatever they want.

They came and extracted the water. They sent their carpenter that has been on the job for 4 days. It took them forever to get the water out. We kept telling them that bathroom had water in it. They came and completely messed up my bathroom. We feel that they did not know what they were doing which led to us re-doing the bathroom. A lot of that was their lack of knowledge.

Did a great job and did not need as extensive repair due to fast action on my part and theirs. I'd have to say their quotes for actual repair work was a bit high to me.

We called them on Monday, Oct. 21st and them came out that day and started to remove molded boards. They replaced floor boards that had mold on them and treated other small spots. The were very effecient and had the floors back in place the next day. |I highly recommend them for any restoration job you might have.

This was a comedy of errors with many, many problems along the way, including slow communication, cost proposal errors and accounting issues on final statement (Didn't charge us enough!). This may be a good company that presently has too many customers to care for with current staffing. On site workers were easy to have in home.

They interacted with me via email quickly, within days 2 days of me contacting them. We have an appointment scheduled for next week. No issues so far.

The bathroom was completely gutted, mold was re-mediated. The bathroom was completely redone and Service Master did a great job. Bryce was the lead on the job and did a fantastic job communicating the entire process. He worked directly with my insurance company and handled everything for me. The turned what would have been a huge headache into a pleasant experience. The bathroom looks great and I cant be happier!

The service that we received was excellent. ServiceMaster responded quickly and were very professional. They communicated well and kept us informed of what was happening. They checked in every day to monitor progress. ServiceMaster definitely helped ease an otherwise stressful situation.

After a set back from another company, my house had been wet for 2 months. I received the first estimate then had to wait a long time for the repair estimate. But once I called to have the work done, it was very fast.

Great job from start to finish. Would highly recommend!

While away on vacation our neighbor discovered extensive water damage in our laundry room, half bath, and kitchen floor. I immediately checked Angie's List for a reliable remediation company and found ServiceMaster by Westphal to be highly rated and respected by previous users. I called them and they were able to respond within a couple of hours. Ryan (the site manager) called me and walked me through everything that would need to be done and assured me there would be no need for us to fly back. With my approval he immediately started the clean up. Although I had neighbors let the workers in at first, I quickly became comfortable with allowing them to directly access my home. Joel Westphal (the founder) was in frequent contact with me during the work, including sending me pictures of the damage. They assured me that their work would eliminate any chace of future mold or mildew problems. Upon my return I was pleasantly surprised at the wonderful job that had been done and the care that had been taken to minimize any damage necessary to the remediation. We were now ready for the next step...REPAIR. In my discussions with Joel he informed me that part of their business was home repair and restoration. I was so pleased with my work with them thus far that I asked them to handle the restoration also, which included replacement of the laminate floor with tile, base boards and quarter round in all three rooms. We met with Joel, Tammy (their design consultant) and Joe (the project manager) to discuss the project and pick out materials. In addition to the work required we also asked them to repaint the three rooms and replace the existing back splash in the kitchen. We decided to have them complete the project while we were going to be gone. The project was completed on time and as contracted. We now have a beautifully restored kitchen, half bath and laundry. We could not be more pleased with the experience of working with ServiceMaster by Westphal, so much so we are already planning their next project while we are on our next vacation!

I do not remember the price but I know I would have made sure it was the going price at the time. They did good work. What I recall about the experience is that next time I do this type of work, I will schedule it for warmer weather, since I would have liked to have been able to open the windows while they were working. It just seemed like there was some dust circulating in the air while they were working and then afterwards, too. What I wanted was accomplished!

Their service was fine. They originally brought a truck out that the vacuum to get the water up was not working. They ended up bring out extra dryers later which was a little disappointing since they couldn’t vacuum all the water up.

They did an excellent job. The owner came by personally to help me with things.

They were very helpful and very nice. They kept us informed. They worked with the insurance company. Everything was excellent, except for one thing. The one thing that went wrong was part of the installation of some of the flooring they put down. The finished work was not finished.

First, they came out and they were very pleasant. They came out and installed a countertop that had a piece on it that didn’t work for the space. They needed to come back and fix the one little section. They needed to put in a new piece. The second process took months due to scheduling. It wasn’t a big deal to me, but when we hit a glitch it took quite a while to get it fixed.

My home owners insurance is who hired them. It took several weeks, but they finally got it dry. I would recommend them to anyone.

We had very good service from them. They were very timely. The price was reasonable. We would use them again.

Everything seemed to go well. I just found them a bit expensive, but I haven’t had the carpets cleaned since then. I’d like to get more comparison pricing in the future.
