Scott and his crew were FANTASTIC! The pricing was more than reasonable. Scott walked our yard and made suggestions to help with all the tree work we needed. He explained the work and gave us a quote on the spot. They came back the next week and completed the work and it exceeded our expectations. They worked clean removing brush as they went, cut large limbs off our roof, removed a stump in a flower bed, removed several limbs from trees in our backyard, removed a huge brush pile we had built up, and even cut up the limbs so we could use it for firewood. I cannot recommend them enough! We will be regular customers now that we know about them and their great work! Thank you Scott and Team!

Scott's company had done a job for my neighbor that caused damage to my property. They cut down about a 70 foot tall tree for my neighbor that fell into my Sweet Gum tree and produced quite a bit of damage. After some bickering we came to the conclusion that the damage would only cost them $600. I also agreed to let them pay me $100 a week for 6 weeks to help them with the cost. Since that time I have received only one payment of $100 and Scott has only had excuses since then. Scott Settles in the owner of the company but apparently the damage was caused by John Suddarth. John is supposed to be the certified member of their crew. I would like to receive the remainder of the money they owe me but doubt that it will happen. When I asked for proof of insurance they requested they not use it because their insurance company would drop them. The company has a business card that claims their name is Scott's Circle City Tree Care. It seems they have changed their name in the past because the company info and personal are all the same.

They've been in our neighborhood a number of times. I would only use them for very limited things and not anything complicated. They are cheap enough but they all just want to get it done quickly. The man we dealt with was for leaf raking couple of years ago because they were in our neighborhood pretty regularly. The man we dealt with is John and he really pushes to get the job done. He is supposedly a certified arborist and one of my neighbors said he knows a lot about trees. His people skills are horrible and his emphasis seems always to be on selling. His prices are cheap but then the effort is to get it done really quick. This one neighbor said he uses this guy and his company for limited things under significant supervision but nothing really complicated. I knew that I had a dead tree that had dies over the winter or may be earlier and had a lot of ants at the bottom. It was a tall one and I figured it would probably be fifty or sixty feet tall but it was going to come down some time and it might come down my house or my neighbor's house. I didn't want that to happen and so decided to try and get it out. He came by and we decided on the price. I let him do it and he said he would have it fall on my neighbor's property so I wanted to check with my neighbor before he could do that. He was working on another neighbor and I did catch the neighbor a little bit later who said it was fine and that he doesn't care. This guy John said he's going to climb up the tree and cut it part by part so that it won't fall into the neighbor's property and that it wouldn't cause any damage. Once he came back I told him my neighbor was okay to cut it down, so he said he will cut at the bottom. He cut it and got it just right but they didn't know what they were doing. They cut it, cleaned it up and also picked up some stuff that they said they were going to pick up. I asked him to leave the truck on the street and take the stuff away which was not far and he just backs the truck right over in my neighbor's yard. In fact in was hard enough to do that but it didn't cause any damage but it was contrary to what I told him to do. He chopped it up and got it out of there real quick. The last time he did some work for me he ran out of gas and I gave him some. He was unprepared and he will do it his way. He also told me that there was another tree that needs cabling and drilling, he's probably right but I wouldn't have trusted him to do that even though he might know what he's doing. He would do it the fastest way possible. This time he was there on time but I've heard very bad reports.

Prior to 10/8/09 a representative of Scott's Tree Service had stopped by my house to give an estimate on work to be done. The representative had been out during the summer and performed tree trimming service. I have never met or dealt with the owner (Scott) on either of these occasions. The work in the summer was complete and the representative was paid in full the same day and in cash. A few days prior to 10/8/09 this same representative of Scott's Tree Service was in the neighborhood and we talked about a few things that needed to be done, such as fertilizing the trees and removing the rest of the dead limbs that were in the trees. He also was doing some work on my neighbor's house, which is also not complete. I told him I didn't have the money that day and we scheduled it for another time, however he came out on 10/8/09 - ahead of scheduled time. He was doing work on another neighbor's house, who was not home at the time. He and a female representative came to my house and said they would get started on the fertilizing if I would go ahead and pay them. I told them I did not have the cash. I also told them I was not comfortable in paying them ahead of time, however, I had dealt with them previously. Needless to say I wrote them a check, made payable to the female representative, for $200.00. They went to get the supplies and came back to fertilize the trees. They then asked for the rest of the $300.00 and would have to come back later because it was late and rainy. I again wrote another check for $100.00 to the female representative. Both checks were immediately taken to a check cashing facility that night because I received phone calls confirming that I had in fact wrote the checks. After numerous phone calls to the 627-9412 number and being told on numerous occasions that they "would be out that day and finish the job", they have not kept their word. In one phone conversation I spoke to Scott and he said he didn't know why I paid them and why I dealt with them and not him and that he felt like this was between me and the two people I dealt with. I told him that I had never dealt with Scott nor had my neighbors. I then told him in another phone conversation that the work order was written up on Scott's Tree Care & Landscaping invoice showing that I had paid in full and the work was not complete and that it was signed by a representative of his company. Scott then said he would see to it that the work was complete. Again, daily phone calls and the work has not been completed nor money reimbursed. On Friday night 10/23/09 the female representative called me with the lastest excuse and told me they would be out that night and finish the job (which by the way they work needed to be complete should take all of 15 mintues) or I would be reimbursed my money. I had told Scott in one of my conversations that if the work wasn't done or I wasn't reimbursed then I would file a report with Angie's List and BBB by 10/26/09. I realize I should have never written those checks. I have tried dealing with Scott and both representatives and have been nice to them on every occasion.
