I called Jeff to come out and give me an estimate to hook up my sewer line to the recent installed city main sewer line. He gave me a price what i thought was a good price. His price included permit, getting septic pumped and filled with sand etc. I have used Rode's Excavating before and he did such a good job at a reasonable price i didn't even bother to call anyone else to conpare his price. He did an excellent job and did it ahead of when

The permit and scheduling process went smooth from beginning to end.  Communication was excellent and the work was done professionally.  Jeff and his son, Aaron worked through some tough tree roots, and they had to maneuver their equipment in a very difficult area.  With their expertise; they managed without incident .  I appreciated their particular attention to details and making a few suggestions along the way.  My son was fortunate to have them connect his sewer system, so he sent them on to me.  I couldn't be happier, and I would hire them again in a heartbeat, if given the opportunity.

I’ve worked with them in the past, and they always do the job right. Rode Excavating is very professional and prompt. I’d have no qualms recommending them to others.

Started having septic problems in the spring of 2009. We called a local firm who had done considerable work for us in the past. After some digging, they suggested we would need a new septic system - estimate $6,000 to $10,000. We live next to a housing addition which has sanitary sewers and found we might be able to connect. Cost would be about $3,500 plus physical connection cost. We called Roger Russell Excavating who connects homes to sewers and he came out to give us an estimate. He looked over the situation and suggested we not give up on our septic system and should call Jeff Rode of Rode Excavating, which we did. Mr. Rode came out and looked at our system and stated he thought it could be repaired. He brought out his back-hoe, dug behind the septic tank and found the pipe between the tank and distribution box was broken. He replaced this pipe and the system started working immediately. Total cost was $375. What a relief. We send many thanks to Roger Russell and Jeff Rode for their care and concern and their fine work.

From the beginning when getting an estimate Jeff was very polite and professional. He went out of his way to do the job in good weather so the yard was not torn up any more than needed. The job was done quickly and professionally.

This was a stressful situation. It had seemed every professional I had give me an estimate said something different or new. The prices ranged from $4,400 to over $10,000! I really didn't know who to believe. Mr. Rode knew who to contact for permits, he knew what to install or our size house and what legally was required for our county board of health to authorize & give their approval when done. Honest, professional & quality work. Approachable, knowledgeable. He owned his own equipment. I didn't have to pay him to rent. I have nothing negative to say! I found Mr. Rode to be a hard worker. He was there to do a job and he got it done quickly and well. Thank you for being an honest and dependable contractor. This was a big decision involving a lot of money. We truly feel we made the best choice and are very pleased with your work.

The previous day I been quoted $2700 to replace piping and connect to the city sewer for a portion of my plumbing. Jeff Rode was recommended by a friend. He dug a small hole, determined the plumbing was already connected to the sewer and not the old septic tank, then replaced the pipe that was busted.
