 + -1 moreThe job went as planned, except the crew took unusual time to do the work in a most careful manner with maximum safety. I will use them in the future. I took many pictures of the work as it progressed.
Description of Work: I engaged John McVeigh of River Montain Pacific for removal of two large tees a few years ago with an excellent experience. Hence I contracted with him to remove a large crabapple tree and a number of dead limbs from a maple tree, the result of a botched trim job several years ago by another tree service company. The current job was a sensitive one, especially the crabapple tree. To reach it with the hydraulic lift bucket required great care in avoiding damaging a fence and a home. Great care was taken by the entire crew with the job done and cleanup perfect. The actual double phase job cost was less than I paid as I added over 10% gratuity for a jop well done. Mr. McVeigh has an experienced staff and they honked and waved on leaving in their trucks, leaving me with a very warm feeling.

 + -1 moreBecause of the scope of the project and the on-site available equipment, I was able to suggest as well as accept suggestions from John for extra trimming. These minor changes made a major impact on the overall landscape. The job was completed above and beyond our satisfaction, at the originally quoted estimate. The men were respectful of our property, cleaned up meticulously, and left us with an excellent experience and a manicured landscape.
Description of Work: Owner John McVeigh and his crew of 3 men spent a long, productive day with amazingly efficient equipment removing a stand of dead hemlock trees, lifting a smaller dead hemlock allowing for easy replanting, removing a large dead redbud tree, trimming and dead-wooding 4 large mature maple and oak trees, trimming and pruning 4 additional trees, plus additional landscaping.

So I called him again, as my neighbor complained about another small tree, and he removed that tree but I did not know that he would come and scam me after doing a great job with the first 2 trees.

 + -1 moreThey are very knowledgeable and good at what they do. I am happy with the treatment. I thought he was expensive but he did do a good job. The first day the owner came out with them while the work was performed, the second day he sent two young men to follow up without any supervision.
Description of Work: They pruned several trees. The cut out the dead fungus in the tree. They also did deep root fertilizing.

 + -1 moreThese guys are great. This was not an easy job. Looking at the tree and what needed to be removed I would have guessed the whole tree needed to come out. But, these guys know their stuff. They did a masterful job trimming and saving the tree. It's now been a few months, the tree looks good and is doing great.

 + -1 moreThey backed their truck down a very narrow driveway, despite being told not to go down backwards. Half way down, the owner told them, "That's far enough.", but the driver assured her he could get it all the way down the driveway. That's when they damaged our new, decorative cement wall. When I called the owner, he accepted full responsibility and assured me they would arrange for concrete repair. Both my husband and I have contacted Mr. McVeigh numerous times (at least eight phone calls) who continues to tell us he is making arrangements. Week after week, there has been no returned calls or repairs. Now, he no longer answers his phone.
Description of Work: This past winter, River Mountain delivered firewood.

 + -1 moreTheir arborist, John McVeigh, understood what I needed (removal of any tree-related threats to our house) and came to a very reasonable conclusion. His crew worked quickly to remove three dead/dying trees and chips, etc., from our back yard. Stump removal is an additional $150.00.
Description of Work: Three dead/dying trees were removed the day after the estimate.
