RED'S CLASSIC BARBER SHOP CO

All of the staff was incredibly friendly from setting the appointment to walking out of the door. As an employee of Angie's list, I found them ON Angie's list and was not disappointed. Elliot gave me a classic cut with a hard part. Straight razor-ed my hard part and neck line and hand cut my actual hair instead of using trimmers. It was my first, but definitely not last, REAL barbershop experience. Will definitely go back!

Cuts OK. Atmosphere excellent. Location just a bit inconvenient for me.

Great. Matthew is very personable and takes his time. He's done it for years and very good at what he does. Best haircut experience I've ever had and will continue to use him as my barber for a long time.

It is an old school kind of barber shop. It is very personable and very old school way of doing things-you do not get that any more.

I highly recommend visiting Josh over at Red's for a good cut. They have a classic style and cool atmosphere. On the plus side they sell awesome items for the dapper man.

I got an appointment and they were really fast. It was really good.

The haircut was fine, though I think it would be difficult to screw up a buzz cut. The straight razor on the edges was a first for me and was a nice touch. The place was very professional and everyone seemed to be in a good mood.
Here's the problem. I take pride in my beard and get complimented often on it. I asked him to and quot;Barely touch the beard. You can take a very small amount off the sides, but do not touch the bottom except to even the length of any strays. I am trying to grow it longer.and quot; Any barber with experience with beards should know that a proper beard trim is done with scissors and carefully. He ran the clippers at the bottom with such haste, I had no time to stop him. I was in shock. He removed an inch and a half of my two and half inch beard. I feel like I've lost two months.
I'm so p***** off that simple directions could not be followed.

I like it because it's an old school, classic barber shop. Also, you could have good conversation with people. They are particular about making sure they get it right before they start cutting it. They communicate to make sure that both of you are in the same page.

I had never been to Red's before, but they had good reviews on Angie's List and were right down the street from my office. Due to an upcoming event, I needed a haircut soon and Red's was able to schedule me at 5:00 on the same day I called them. The barbershop has a great atmosphere with swing music and books, straight razors and cufflinks for sale. I got the pleasure of having my hair cut by Sam who did a fantastic job. I wanted to move to something a bit more modern that my previous hairstyle and Sam did a great job of listening to what I wanted and making it look great. I realized after I left that I didn't tip Sam nearly enough. I'll have to make sure to add an extra couple bucks to my tip next time I stop in!

The staff is always very friendly and do a great job of keeping on time and moving quickly. My hair is easy to cut (I just shave it off) but Sam does a very nice job.

The barbers at Red's get what the owner is trying to project, a classic experience or something from a bygone era. They play big band and swing music from the 30's and 40's. They greet you with a :Hello Mr. ..." when you arrive and seat you quickly. They barbers are dressed professionally and the whole experience is right out of the book "How to be a Gentleman." I take my sons there to help them learn to be adults. The service is top notch and something you really need in your life.

Perfect! The atmosphere is amazing, the barber's are the best in the business! They also helped me find shaving products that suited my needs! I live and work downtown and this place is the Bee's Knee's!!

This is my favorite Barber Shop I have ever been to. The atmospher and the people make this shop a must see if your downtown. From the moment you walk in you will know that you are somewhere special.

I really enjoyed this company's customer service over the telephone! They have a list of services and have a great pricing range for the work I want to have completed. I always wanted to get a facial shave from a barber and I will be able to check this off of my bucket list later this summer!

I have been going on and off to Red's for about 2 years, depending on my schedule. While Red's is slightly more expensive than the other 2 barbershops I've used, I have never had trouble calling and getting a same day lunch time appointment (I've used 4 different barbers there). While some have done better (in my wife's opinion), all have done a good job and/or what I asked for. They also have the advantage of taking credit cards while the other two shops are cash only.

I really like the atmosphere and the services that they provide. I like the barbers. It is a really great barbershop. They do shoe shining and hot lather shaves. They do a lot of the classic barber things and it is a good environment. William is the barber I see. They usually list all the barbers and the times they are available on the website so I can make an appointment. He is really good at cutting my hair and he is a really great guy to talk to while he is doing it. My wife likes the way my hair looks after he is done. It is a little pricey.

I would describe Red's as a throw back to the old barber shop with all the personal attention to detail: shaving, etc, but catapulted into the 21st century with a modern look. They also have a professional shoe shine man. I want modern but not the fru fru, artsy type of place, I want a hair cut and be comfortable with the atmosphere and hairstylist. Very clean atmosphere, the soft music playing in the background is like from the 50's for the ambiance, I don't care for that style of music, but William's friendliness, professionalism, competency, great attention to detail, drowned out the music! I will return and have William cut my hair. Prior to using William I had been going to the same hairstylist for over 20 years. William asked my input about the shop, and because he had never cut my hair before noted what shears he used and entered it into the system so that when I return we would have a reference point should I want to make a change. He welcomed and was open to imput and was not insecure should I want to alter a couple things about my haircut. He made my visit all about me. Very up on current events, and as a sports fan myself, William's college football experience was interesting. I will definitely be returning and telling others about him as well.

Everyone at Red's is great and William is an excellent barber. He is friendly and personable, takes pride in his work and is handy with a razor. My haircut it easy but I still want it done right. The straight razor finish really makes a short style look good.

I moved to downtown Indianapolis a little over a year ago and heard about Red's from a co-worker. They nicely fill the gap left between chain barbershops and high-end salons. I've had my hair cut about 6 times over the past year with 3 or 4 different barbers at Red's and had a great experience every time. It is a very classy establishment and the owner and staff do a great job with remembering your name and providing a great service. Their prices are reasonable-much less than where I was going before. My roommate also gets his hair cut there and is going to reserve the place the morning of his wedding to have his groomsman get straight razor shaves.
