Great job. Took his time a found few very important things that needed to be fixed before I bought my home. He was a great inspector and answered all my questions throughly. When the seller complained about an issue he found he offered to go back free of charge!!! Great customer service. I would highly recommend this company!

They did an AMAZING job; walked us through the house pointing stuff out and showing us everything. Very knowledgeable and gave us a ton of very useful information. The final report was excellent with great recommendations. Very happy we found them.

It went very well, I was impressed with his knowledge. I was more impressed with his customer Service, very down to earth guy he is very patient, he answered all of my questions that I had. He allowed me to go up in the attic to check that out. He took care of the Radon test for me and termite inspection. Could ask for better service.

We had Mike come out to inspect a home we are looking to buy. We decided to go with him because of his reviews and coupon offer. He was great from beginning to end! He was able to fit us in, in the time frame we needed! We found him on Angie's List and decided to purchase his online offer. He was by far the least expensive but in no way was the quality affected by this! I would recommend him to everyone! His report came in exactly when he said it would and it was very detailed. My husband was there with him and he didn't mind at all. He walked my husband through everything. Thanks again!

Mike was awesome to work with. I had a lot if questions and he addressed them all. He was very accommodating and VERY thorough and his price was reasonable!! He took 4 hrs to do the inspection and left no "stone" unturned. He gave a great detailed report with lots of pictures and separated those items that wee not satisfactory from the one that need attention eventually. I would work with him again and recommend him to anyone needing a home inspection.

Mike was great!  He was punctual, professional, extremely thorough, and answered all of my questions (to say I asked several would be an understatement). 
The inspection was done in phases, (roof, exterior, plumbing, electrical, basement, heating/cooling systems, crawlspace, attic, etc.)  I walked through the house with Mike, who not only pointed out minor things that needed fixed (hose bibs needed attached to the house for stability, nails on the roof needed to be caulked around, a few places under the eaves had small spots of wood rot), but he also explained the best way to repair them, the best types of materials to use, etc.  After we finished each phase, we talked through the things he had identified (both good and bad) and discussed their potential effects on the structure of the home.  For a first-time homebuyer who prefers to fix things themselves, it was great to have someone go out of their way to explain the problems, how serious they were, and when they needed to be fixed.  We also discussed proper preventative maintenance (caulking, upkeep on the home's exterior, etc.)
Mike was at the house with me for a little over four hours, and I was his last appointment of the day.  I received a thorough inspection report with pictures of all areas and highlights around problem areas by 11:30 the next morning (less than 24 hours after the inspection was completed).  Mike gave me a business card, and said that if I have any questions, to give him a call.  He was friendly, professional, and more thorough than I could have hoped for.  I'm an extremely detail-oriented person, and I was very impressed with Mike's inspection.

We were very pleased with the inspection and Mike took a lot of time to make sure he covered everything and showed us everything that he found and if he thought it was a serious problem or a not so serious issue. We were very pleased with his inspection and we had the report the next day.  I would recommend Mike to anyone purchasing a home.

Mike was exactly the kind of inspector we were looking for.  On time, knowledgeable, thorough and patient.  He arranged the inspection to arrive a couple of hours before we did so that he had enough time to inspect the outside of the home in the daylight and get most of the interior done before we arrived after work.  He took pictures at every point; including the entry door opening, crawl spaces, inside the duct work, appliances and electrical system.  The pictures helped us see what he was talking about and each are flagged in a way to make it easy to find in his report, which is thorough.
Mike said everything appeared solid with the house until he noticed water in a floor heating vent that indicated a possible crack in the foundation.  Initially he saw water one vent, but before he finished the inspection water pooled up in another floor vent.  Mike said he'd never seen that before during all his years of inspection. He couldn't tell where the water was coming in from, so he urged us to get a HVAC and/or foundation specialist to look at the problem before we purchased.  Suddenly the perfect home at the perfect price was no longer the great find it appeared and we didn't buy it.
Mike told us that the problem might not have surfaced if we hadn't gone ahead with the inspection while it was raining.  We're still looking for a home and will use him again because I'd rather pay for a good home inspector like Mike who will find problems that could turn what we think is the perfect home into a money pit.

Working with Mike Bower of PHI was a breeze! We were purchasing a home being sold "as is". The seller made things difficult and our inspection had to be rescheduled multiple times. Mike was always understanding, patient, and prompt. Mike took the extra care to make sure we knew everything we were getting into! His report was very well organized and detailed. He even had it to us the next day!

I contacted Mike due to other positive reviews and I couldn't be more pleased with the results.  As an inspector he was friendly, professional, thorough and helpful.  He arrived on time and stayed until he had addressed every question I had.  The report on the home's condition was extensive and covered every possible issue, even though in the case of my home purchase, there were few issues to be addressed.
I paid slightly extra for a professionally conducted radon test, but besides that additional cost, Mike's inspection prices were identical to the competition, for AAA grade service.  I highly recommend this inspector to anyone.

This was a very satisfying experience.  Mike Bower was personable and took the time to explain everything he found that may be an issue in the house.  He also took the time to explain why some apparent issues were actually nothing to worry about.  He emailed the inspection report very promptly after the inspection.  When I had questions a few days after receiving the report he took the time to answer my questions and provide suggestions regarding an issue I was dealing with.  Above all that, he showed a genuine interest in us as prospective homeowners making an informed decision.  This was important to us in buying an old house.  Excellent from start to finish.

Mike was recommended to us through our Buyers agent. When I initially contacted him, he was on vacation in Colorado but still took my call and scheduled an appointment for the day after he returned. He setup the inspection via Central Showing Service and felt me the confirmation.
He was on time for the inspection. My initial impressions were positive. He was very clean cut in appearance. His clothes were clean along with his work truck. I could tell right away that professionalism was important to him. I could also tell that he made an effort to learn my name prior to the inspection as he addressed me with it initially and throughout the day. Made me feel a connection right away and I felt comforted.
Mike then gave us a summary of how the inspection would take place. He would focus on his list of items and report back when each specific area was complete with the findings be it good/bad. I expected him to point out the bad, but it was also nice to hear the positive items as well. We learned so much about the home and the quality items that we initially didn't recognize came along with our purchase.
One additional bonus was he took the time to show me little things about the furnace and other areas of the home where I would need to perform periodic maintenance. That was going above and beyond and can be things as a new home owner you might overlook ongoing.
The inspection was very detailed and Mike found multiple issues and pointed them all out to us. The home had a crawl space and MIke got in and found sizeable Mold growth on the band boards and subfloor due to fallen insulation that had absorbed water in conjunction with improper ventilation for the space.
When he came out he looked as though he had been slimed. Hw was a mess with slimy mold and insulation goop. AS hot and gross as it was he was positive about it. He was excited that he had found the issue and was going to be able to make us aware of a potential health hazard with this home.
After the inspection was complete he had the report ready and in the hands of our agent with 24 hours. The report was detailed and in color. The pictures attached were in great detail and really showed all of the items he flagged as issues that would need professional remedy including the mold. Based on his images....we opted out of the deal since the remediation of the issues wouldn't be completed before our deadline to move. I feel 100% assured that it was the level of detail in his report that allowed us to get out of the deal as well as get our earnest check back with no questions asked......on to the next chapter
We found a second home and had Mike come back for another inspection. Since it was our second within a short span he gave us a 25% discount which was great! This inspection was not as eventful but he did find two major areas that would need fixed before we moved in. Again, professionalism/timing/report were all top notch.
I will never recommend or use anyone else for an Inspection as long as Mike is on the job. His work and business is top notch, then when you factor in that he is a personable guy who is easy to talk with and ask question...you have a winner.

MIke arrived on time and was very friendly.  He walked us around every area of the home and pointed out issues and explained the usage of all appliances that we were not sure of.  He is very knowledable and helpful.

I contacted Mike on short notice needing a home inspection performed quickly.  He was able to accommodate my request and worked to fit it in perfectly with my schedule.  He performed the inspection and actually took the time to walk through and do a whole house recap with me.  He was addressing his concerns and making sure to answer any questions I might have as well.  He was also very helpful in giving tips on what to do for certain problems that he was able to unveil.  I received a nice report from him as well with pictures and details addressing all of his findings. 

I was impressed with his knowledge in regards to these areas and his thoroughness.  I would highly recommend Mike to anyone that is looking for a home inspector that will take the time to do a thorough inspection and explain things to you as well.  As a first time home buyer Mike definitely helped to make this an easier process for me.

We recently purchased our second home which was an existing home that required us to have an inspection.  We had never been through this process before because our first house was a new construction. We found Mike's company though the internet.  Mike came to our house on week night because my husband and I both work full time which was very convenient.  Upon arrival he explained how he would go through the entire house and divide it into 4 major areas; the roof, basement, structure, attic.   He brought all his own equipment and ladders.  He spent about 2 hours in each major area.  After each area's inspection he would come and show us any concerns as well as go over his recommendation on how to address it.  He was very good about explaining whether or not any areas or issue that he found needed to be addressed/fixed right away or would be in the future.  My husband and I were naive to the whole older house maintenance so it was nice to know that some areas that we thought were going to be bad like the roof and windows were not as bad as we were making them out. One area of our major concern was the roof and he let us know that it was old but we should get another 5-7 years out of it which was reassuring.  The windows which were that originals looked bad, but he let us know that all the seals were good and although there were a few areas of wood rot most of the issue was just a need for a good scrape and paint!  That was a relief.  My husband and I were looking to by a house that we could slightly remodel on the inside and raise our family for years to come. Mike was very helpful in letting us know that we were buying a nice sound house that just needed a little TLC.  Another nice thing about his inspection was that not only did he go over everything that needed to be address, the significance of how urgent it needed to be taken care of but he wrote out a detailed report that included pictures and emailed it to us for our file.  Mike was so good, I would definitely and highly recommend him to anyone that needs a home inspection.
