PPG Porter Paints

My wife and I went in to try and get some touch up paint that was a specific color carried by ppg porter paints. They amazingly remembered the contractor and what paint they used 11 years previous and helped us get the 2 possible colors of paint that would have been used. One of them was a close match but the ceiling was too aged to work, so we bought more paint from them and repainted. Later my wife went back for trim paint. They were exceedingly helpful, very insightful, and their paint prices were great, much better than the big box stores, with way better service, even carried the paint to the car for my wife and helped her pick a trim color. Can't be happier, we'll be going back there for paint for the foreseeable future.

I needed to buy some house paint.  I had the mixture formula from the previous time I painted.  It was about  5 years old.  I gave the salesman the formula.  He looked at it and say,  "Oh, that's an old formula,  I can't help you"
So I went to the Porter Paint Store on SR 135 in Greenwood.   She looked at the formual and said:  "Yes, that's an old formula, but I can convert it".   In less than 5 minutes, she had the formula and mixed a gallon of paint for me.
The store on Madison Ave didn't want to help.  For future paint purchases, I'll take my business to Porter Paints on SR135 in Greenwood

I was under the impression that I could return any unopened paint if I had purchased too much. After I paid for the paint, I verified that it was returnable with the clerk. He then told me, after I had already paid, that I could not return the paint because it was a custom color. I think they took advantage of me.
