 + -1 moreI called Porter Property Services to replace a receptacle and possibly a faulty breaker. He was very prompt and professional. Unfortunately some of the electrical work necessary was more involved than expected so he referred me to an electrical contractor who was able to trace the problem and correct it. He could have easily replaced the receptacle and charged me for that leaving the diagnostic issue for someone else. I really appreciate his honesty and respect him for acknowledging that the repair I needed was beyond his level of expertise. He saved me time and money and I would most certainly use him again.
Description of Work: I had circuit breaker that kept tripping out and a receptacle that needed to be replaced. I thought it was just a faulty breaker or some minor issue.

I called to get on his list for painting the exterior of my house and he is always prompt in returning calls. He was able to do the job within about 2 weeks and I felt the price was very good. He came when he said he would, did an excellent job, and everything was spotless when he was done. I will certainly use him again in the future.

 + 2 moreWe are selling our home and the inspector noticed some rotted wood on the exterior of our home. Adam was able to come out right away and remove then replace the cedar siding flawlessly. He caulked, primed, and painted the replacement wood and the house looks perfect. The work he did blends in perfectly and the new homeowners expressed their happiness with his work as well. Adam communicated with us throughout the process with a very quick estimate explaining the cost of the cedar, then did the work the next day! He cleaned up so well you wouldn't have even known he was there. We would recommend him with absolute confidence.

Even though it was a bit of a trying job to get the tile off and removed - he did it with no complaints! He always cleaned up after the day was done and helped in getting rid of the old carpet in the living room. He was very professional, thorough and we LOVE the finished job! With his talent in other areas of home improvement - we would and will definitely call him again!

 + 3 moreAdam does great work. He is professional and leaves the worksite clean. I couldn't be more pleased about the end results of all of our projects. The attic vent had been a source of problems [critters entering and living in attic] and the end result looks as if the house was built that way. He installed new wood siding and repainted. The fence was a simple job but one my husband just couldn't get around to doing. Adam was able to do them both in less than one day. Our interior doors were flimsy hollow core ones that I never liked; Adam installed new ones throughout the house and fixed holes left by the old doors. He was also kind enough to add wood filler to a small gash on my garage door left by a cement truck. I highly recommend Porter Property Services.
Description of Work: Adam worked 2 days at my home. The first day he did handyman type work: repairing a fence by removing the old post and installing new one and removing an old attic vent and installing new siding in its place. The second day he removed 7 interior hollow doors and replaced them w/ solid wood ones.

 + 3 moreI am a property manager and I exclusively use Mr. Porter for my properties. He is prompt. He is reasonable in his pricing. He returns calls and is responsive. I lucked out in finding him and have so far had no negatives with his work. I would classify him as a true professional.
Description of Work: Repaired sagging soffits and also installed new boarding where needed (soffits were made of wood) and then, took a chip to a paint department to match it to existing trim. He also re-aligned some doors and planed off the bottoms so they wouldn't drag. He did several other little jobs and the price was right. Also, when he was done, he totally cleaned up after himself and left everything in a clean, tidy condition

 + 8 moreAs I mentioned, Adam was prompt, friendly, didn't overcharge me for the work quoted, and was a delight to work with. Awesome!
Description of Work: Adam did a LOT of work on a house I was rehabing for someone out-of-state. He repaired/replaced plumbing under one of the sinks, installed a new garage door opener, did minor wall repairs throughout the house, installed mini-blinds, laid flooring in the kitchen and bath, installed lighting and ceiling fans, door and cabinet hardware, put in a new exterior door, repaired and replaced some roof shingles that were damaged, power washed one side of the house that had some mold on it, and did interior painting in one of the rooms with a cathedral ceiling. I got quotes from a couple other people and he was the most reasonable, so I decided to go with him. I'm sooo glad I did. Adam was so good about letting me know what was going on ... he showed up on time, was very efficient and friendly, and I'll be using him on future projects, for sure!

 + 2 moreWe needed several minor home repairs in response to an inspection when selling our home in Fishers. Adam returned my call (I'd left a voicemail) promptly, and we scheduled a walk through. He was able to quickly give me an estimate, which was quite reasonable. We scheduled a time to complete the repairs, which included adding insulation, repairing areas around the soffits where birds were nesting, replacing weather stripping around the door, and flashing areas where the roof meets the side of the house, as well as other minor repairs. All work was completed in a timely fashion, and well-done. Adam was a thorough professional. And as a nice bonus, the total cost came in under the estimated cost! I would definitely do business with Adam Porter again, and recommend him to others.

 + 0 moreAdam answered the phone immediately and was very professional on the phone. We set a time (after normal business hours) for him to come by and take a look around. He's polite and funny (but doesn't try to be a stand up comedian) when walking around the house. We talked a bit, he gave me some ballpark quotes at the time and then a day or two later gave me his written quotes. His prices were all very reasonable, better than any painting companies. Priorities changed for us as far as project expenditures but we certainly would have used him if the timing was better. He did point me to his Facebook page for some before/after work and based on the pricing as well as the results there, I know I will be calling Adam in the future to do some work.
Description of Work: I had Adam come by and do a quote for several projects around the home. I asked for a quote on painting several different rooms.

 + 0 moreI am a property manager and I feel extremely responsible for my owner's homes. Adam Porter is a HIGHLY SKILLED man who doesn't cut corners on his work. He called me to confirm the day before the work was to be done, arrived promptly, didn't fool around, got right to it, and was out in less than an hour. He removed 2 doors from their hinges, planed and sanded them so they wouldn't drag or stick, rehung them, and then adjusted the lock that wouldn't lock that leads to a patio. NICE to know someone who knows so much. After it was all done, he took a broom and cleaned up where he had been working. FABULOUS EXPERIENCE.

He worked along with our painter to be sure all the rotted wood and screens were replaced before they painted. He identified issues and was great about explaining to us the best method of repair.  + -1 moreFantastic work and experience. He showed up on time on a Saturday to look over the work and give me a quick quote. They were easy to schedule with and arrived on time on the day scheduled. They got all of the work done in one day as estimated and sent me a bill for the agreed amount. There were about 8 small sections of wood trim around the exterior of the house that needed to be removed and replaced as a result of a inspection to sell the house. Several of the sections were on the chimney high on the roof. They did a good job on all the work. After the work was done, a woodpecker pecked a new hole in another section of trim and they came back out and fixed it too for a very reasonable nominal charge.
Description of Work: They replaced rotted wood trim in about 8 places on the exterior of our house, including a high chimney on a steep roof. They removed the old trim, painted the new wood, and replaced it.
