I have been taking my shitzu here since last summer. It is a small business but that makes it much better. The owner is great at walking you through what she is doing and making sure your pet looks as though you want. Very quick, efficient and you don't spend all day waiting as I have with others. I have been able to drop my dog off and pick him up within a few hours instead of wasting my day waiting.

The price was really reasonable for a small dog. They are really reasonable and they do a good job. They love animals and the dog is not afraid to go.

I called ahead of time to make an appointment to bring in my cat for a lion cut and get a quick nail trim for my dog on a Saturday. I was given an option of 9 or 10 am, and I chose 9, due to having plans in the early afternoon. They quoted me a price of $45-80, depending on the state of the cat's fur, her size, and I think her behavior.
It was very busy when I came in to drop the cat off at 9 AM (when they open). I waited a short time while they checked in someone else. They tried to trim my dog's nails up front, but he wasn't cooperative, so they took him back. His nails were nicely done when they came back out a few minutes later.
After giving them all the info they needed for my cat (I had never been there before), I asked approximately how long it would take. She said about 2 hours, because they were pretty busy that morning. She also said that due to the stress on the cat, they like to get them done as quickly as possible. She also said they would call when finished.
At noon, I started to get antsy because I had plans. I called to find out if she was done yet and they hadn't even started on her. She said it would be at least another 30 minutes.
At about 12:45 (nearly 2 hours past the expected time) they called to say she was done. I went to pick her up. The lady who brought her out, and who had done her lion cut, said she did a very good job and wasn't a problem. She pointed out a couple of tiny scratches that she said she found while shaving, and then pointed out an area where she shaved a little too close and there was a quarter sized red area.
They did not apologize for the time, although she did mention that they were busier than normal that day.
The total cost for the lion cut was $45. There was a place on the receipt for tips, which did not occur to me until I saw it there, so I tipped $5. I have no idea if this is expected or not, but I didn't want to be rude. I chose to tip closer to 10% due to the time I had to wait.
When I got home and had a chance to inspect the cut, I thought it was somewhat raggedy. The edges weren't clean or trimmed to the same length. Obviously, this is a CAT we are talking about and they aren't known for being cooperative, so it wasn't a terrible job, just not as good as I expected, especially since they said she was no trouble. When compared to my friend's cat (who was sedated for his process at another groomer's), she looked pretty bad.
I probably will not have my cat groomed again, there or anywhere else. I might stop by there to get a nail trim done on my dog, but their hours don't work out for me very well (they are only open 8-5 during the week).

You don't need to make an appointment for the nail trims. They charge $5 per dog and cut them so well, you don't even need them Dremeled. Melissa and her staff are wonderful and so good with the dogs.
Response from Pet Crew Grooming Salon
"Thank you for the good words. We really try to provide good service to our clients."
