PARADISE LANDSCAPE & NURSERY
About us
Est.1986, we are family-owned & operated, located in Lawrence, just south of Geist Reservoir. Our company has the following divisions: retail garden center, wholesale nursery(over 100 acres of farm land), re-wholesale nursery, commercial/public installation & maintenance, residential design-build, and consulting. Residential estimates are generally performed within 1 week of initial contact. Committed jobs are scheduled on a first-come, first-served basis. With a staff of 7-10 employees, we tend to book up fast since we perform all work by our own forces. In the rare case of sub-contracting, we utilize providers from our own trusted peer network. Most work requires a 25% deposit for mobilization. Depending on the situation, partial financing options may be available. We install year-round. Our retail garden center is open to the public and has an extensive selection of the freshest trees, shrubs, perennials, and annual flowers that are all hardy to Indiana. We also carry bulk mulch, topsoil, compost, straw, stone, boulders, cobbles, and garden art. Delivery and tree installation are available upon request. Summer & Winter hours for garden center and nursery operations are subject to change. E-mail is highly encouraged for all inquiries. Otherwise, please call for appointment.

The reason for my visit: I had an issue with one of John's competitors. I anxiously waited three weeks for a tree to be delivered. However, the day the tree was promised - after coordinating 811, mulch delivery and bed cleaning, I found out I would have to wait another week for the tree. Frustrated, I decided to visit Paradise Landscaping. John got me the tree I wanted and had it in the ground by the next day. John also supplied six hydrangeas, a rose bush and potting soil and still came in with a price below what I was going to pay for the tree that never came.
I enthusiastically recommend Paradise Landscape and Nursery!
John gave me a fair price on both the trees and the installation so I decided to have him do the entire project. The trees were nearly 15 to 20 feet tall and had rather large root ball making it very difficult to both, dig holes, and plant.
John's team of experts got right to work. They were careful to not disturb any of my existing landscaping. While planting they took great pride in making sure each tree was just right. After the job was complete they clean up all areas and gave me instructions on how to care for my new trees.
The job could have not been any smoother from start to finish. I plan on using them again in the near future.
"Thank you for your kind comments, and I am glad that your experience was a pleasant one. I really appreciate your patience as you saw we were a little understaffed the day you came. What I find really refreshing is your passion, research, and hands-on involvement with your project. Admittedly, I was a little shocked with your specific plant requests; obviously you did your homework. For example, the choice of canadian hemlocks was right on target in regards to appropriate conditions, functionality, and aesthtetics. No doubt, you are applying your keen interior design eye to your outdoor space in regards to color contrast, flow/sequence, and the balancing of form and void. I admire your fervor and look forward to the opportunity to work with you and Property Pros Land Management in rendering your vision into a tangible reality. Sincerely yours, -John P.S. "Member, thank you for the kind comments. Sometimes all the stars align, and things work out for the best. We just happened to have your kwanzan in stock(it literally came off the truck just a few days before you called). However, none of this could have happened without your short-notice accommodation; you actually did us a big favor since we had a tight window opening in which our crew was free. I hope you enjoy your tree and look forward to your visiting our shop. No doubt, at the least, we can wax poetic over the mythical days of yore including cub legends Jerome Walton, 'Dewey' Smith, Lester Lancaster, & Doug Dascenzo. The Shawon-O-Meter is on the up-tick... Be comforted, that Paradise Nursery is Cubs country."
"Thank you for your kind comments. We really appreciate your continued business, loyalty, and support. I think what has been really refreshing for me at least has been your receptivity to new ideas and your willingness to run with them while incorporating your own style. Hopefully I helped to demystify the landscape design process(it is not rocket science); with a little guidance, you really took the reins and can no doubt take great satisfaction and pride in that 'you did that." Over the past 2 years I have enjoyed our back-and-forth design banter and have come to view the both of you as not only valued clients, but also as friends. Thank you again for your support."
