Excellent, went above and beyond expected. My back yard was a mess: uneven, poorly built fence, lots of debris, water pooling, cracked uneven sidewalk. Patio is beautiful, very helpful in choosing pavers. But he went above the expected and used to extra dirt to even the back yard, lifted the uneven sidewalk, adjusted the fence and even put in a drain to prevent erosion to complete the job. Very professional. Would recommend.

The construction went well but due to 3-4 days of rain it pushed the completion date back by two days. No big deal as you can't control the weather and Paul did inform us that the project is dependent on the weather cooperating. Paul was in constant communication and his crew did a great job of cleaning up once they were done. Great job overall!

All went very well and he kept me informed along the way. He was always professional and pleasant. I would definitely recommend him. Paul is an artist with stone/paver work!

The job went pretty smoothly. It did take a little longer than planned due to weather and personal issues with the lead person. He has been out to fix minor things well after job completion which is great. The counter top design was not ideal but has not had an issue to date. he was easy to work with and happy to make changes on the fly. Paul has great landscape and hardscape ideas and he is much better priced than his competition.

Paul was on time, pleasant and had plenty of creative ideas.  He listened to me! used much of my input, and together came up with a great plan.  He adjusted as we went along, as some ideas came as I saw things taking
shape, yet he stayed within my budget. He re-graded my back yard so water
would flow away from the house.  I had many bricks, 4x4's and chunks of
cement that I wanted to re-use and Paul was 100% for that. He built
curved brick walkway, patio and driveway, flagstone area (with the cement), re-built fire-pit (in a prettier design than was there), planted what I wanted and seeded. He divided another plant for me. He did a lot of little extra things, too. 
Except for one little corner where stuff didn't grow, EVERYTHING LOOKS GREAT! I would recommend and re-hire Paul.

Paul was easy to work with.  After an initial missed appointment at my home, he met with me to discuss what I wanted and then offered up some ideas to implement the project and a rough estimate of the cost.  We had a second follow-up appointment to establish the size and shape of the patio and finalize the style of pavers to be used and complete a contract.  The work was scheduled within the next two weeks.  Once he and his crew got started, the project went fairly smoothly.  There was a mechanical problem with one of his small frontloader/landscape tractors, but he was able to get a replacement by the next day to complete that portion of the work.  After all the prep work had been completed, Paul was the only person on-site doing the paver installation.  That portion went very quickly, but because he had designed several curves in the patio design, the edge/trim pieces for that took longer to do.  However, the end result was beautiful, and I am very pleased with how it turned out.  Much nicer looking than the deck that had been there for 20 years.

Paul came out and asked questions and listened to my answers.  He understood what I wanted and also had his own creative ideas.  He implemented those in a professional and skilled manner.  He was flexible and finished earlier than anticipated.   He even - reluctantly at first - accepted payment per direct deposit. I would hire him again.

Paul designed and installed a stone wall across the flower beds in front of our house. He was very easy to work with and his bid was reasonable . His work was well done and he was there when he said he would be. He was helpful when choosing the stone and did an additional small area for us which was not planned. The neighbors have been complementing us on the wall and he had several people stop and ask him about doing work for them. We were very satisfied and will certainly use Paul again should a need arise.

He did a great job. He was a pleasure to work with and even did a few extra things. Cleaned up the yard and mulched!!

Everything went very smoothly and they did an excellent job from start to finish.  We were very thankful for Paul's experience and advice on which plants to keep or get rid of, and I appreciated that he gave us two different drawings/plans to choose from.  His cost estimate was right on target, even though we changed our minds on a couple things or added a few things on along the way.  The patio is absolutely beautiful, and the whole finished backyard looks so much different and more pleasant, I wish we had taken some before and after photos.  The landscaped area that Paul created in front of the house is also very nice-looking and adds interest to the front of the porch, although sadly I don't know if the Japanese maple is going to survive this heat/drought.  I really appreciated how Paul is very skilled at repurposing things that already existed in the lanscape - money-saving and environmentally friendly.  We had such a great experience and will definitely be using his company again in the future!

Overall I liked working with Paul. His work is clean and tidy. He did a lot of cleanup at the end. He is a lot flexible to work with and I plan to hire him in the future.

Paul was very accessible and willing to modify the plan as we went to meet our needs. We felt he was committed to making us happy with the project. We would use him again.

We have nothing but fantastic things to say about him.  He does beautiful design work.  He did 3 separate absolutely stunning design work for us.  His concrete work, his brick work, retaining wall and all that sort of hardscaping are beautiful and I get nothing but compliments on them.  He is expensive, but he is worth it.  He does excellent work.  The quality is excellent.  He is responsive.  His professionalism is fine. 

In one word, excellent!!!  He was flexible and easy to work with.  He was very budget conscious; he used many plants and hardscapes I already owned and transplanted many mature plants.  He delivered as promised.  It has been 2 years since the work was done and it has been easy to maintain and looks beautiful! 

I used Paul at P&K before for some drainage work and I called him out again to take care of my front bed.  He was the lowest price for the drainage before so I called him out to give me an estimate on the landscaping.  He came out and gave me an estimate to remove about 1/3 of the landscape bed, relocating two shrubs to a spot in the back and then moving a few plants around in the remaining bed and weeding the entire area.  The weeds were horrific.  He was able to fit me in quicker than I anticipated and he did a great job I would definitely call him again.

After initial discussion on our desire to redo a large patio area on the east side of our house, Paul created two very detailed landscape designs in two price ranges. After agreeing on scope he and his crew installed a large paver patio with multiple tiers. They also did other landscaping to complement the new patio. A few things we would say about working with Paul: 1) He had great vision on how to make our space functional and affordable at the same time. 2) His crew was friendly and did excellent work. 3) He kept focus on limiting unnecessary expense, and communicated any time there might be an overrage or upgrade. 4) He is very creative - for example instead of ripping out an original flagstone patio that was in poor shape, he recommending re-laying it as accent path outside of the new paver patio -it looks great. 5) He provided some free 'extras' to make things look complete, for example installed a few free boulders and planted some annuals to add color. Do not expect a flashy sales pitch or a lot of fluff. Paul and his group do excellent work and I feel they will stand behind their work fully.

They are very punctual and reasonable on their prices. The person, who is the owner of the company, is very friendly and takes care of everything. They pay attention to details and give good ideas. I have recommended them to my family and they are using them. They do good job. I would use them in the future.                                                   

Paul has done landscaping for us in the past and has consistently come through with quality design work.  We had been unable to grow grass in our shady side yard and it had turned into something of an eyesore.  Paul transformed it into a beautiful garden with a gently curving flagstone path amidst plantings of hosta, burning bush, liriope, lung wort and dogwood.  And to help with an erosion problem, he built a low stone wall at one end, and carried that theme throughout the garden with accents of rocks and boulders.  We couldn't be more pleased with the result.  Paul's crew, as usual, were hard working and courteous.  In addition to work on the new garden, they did an excellent job edging and mulching all our other flower beds.

His name is Paul J Karrer. We've used him three times. They were professional. They were basically on the money with what was described in the plan and what we got. We are thrilled with the work they have done. Their prices are very competitive.

The job was completed on time and looked great.  We still call them when we have yearly maintanence that needs done.

Paul did our original landscaping a couple of years ago and everything was growing so well we needed some help. We weren't sure what we needed, he was able to look things over and make suggestions. He's always very practical and only suggests things that he thinks you really can use - not just things to increase his bill. We get lots of compliments from the neighbors and even won a neighborhood landscaping award this summer for his original work. If you need landscaping help - don't call anyone else!

Paul is great to work with. Trust his instincts, they are spot on.

It was wonderful. It could not have been any better. If I ever have landscaping needs, Paul is the first person that I will ever call. He is extremely customer focused. All of our neighbors have said only good things about the outcome of our yard. He is great to work with.
