To get rid of some mice the technician: put out bait (Decon stuff) stations (one behind the stove, one in the utility room) and some bait packets in the attic and in the crawl. He put a few sticky traps in the garage on either side of the
door. He decided to put some copper mesh in the attic around the holes that drop wires into the pantry to keep mice from crawling through too.
Everything was going fine, until just after or while installing the copper mesh I hear a big thud and ask the tech if he's alright. He says he is but he put his foot through the ceiling going into the pantry! Again, I ask if he's alright then he says that he is and that he put a hole in the ceiling and that Orkin would pay for it. He placed some cardboard over the hole for now, which I checked after he left and see that it is completely inadequate, even as a temporary patch. It?s allowing more and more insulation to fall into the pantry/networking closet, so now I need to get someone over to fix this ASAP.
Before I can get a contractor in to repair the ceiling though, I need to CLEAN in the pantry. I brought the Shopvac in and started vacuuming but stopped because the guy was
still here doing his inspection outside the house.
I can only hope that the bait stations will yield some results because even though the technician was nice, he created a new problem for me to solve.

We have a contract with them. I would use them again. Their price is in line with everybody else.

Was contracted to spray inside and outside for common bugs. Inside should have been between the baseboard and floor, unfortunately their and quot;technicianand quot; was lazy and just went about waving her wand sloppily about ruining antiques, walls, furniture... and when I brought it to her attention, she looked at me stupidly and continued to do it. Their company office had an and quot;oh, welland quot; attitude about it and hung up on me. I'll never use or recommend Orkin ever. Horrible service, no professionalism, no ethics.

My son came out of his bedroom one day last month saying there was and quot;fuzzand quot; on his wall. Beings he kept talking about it and wouldn't let it go, I decided it must not just be a piece of and quot;fuzzand quot;. I went in and saw what looked like mound of dirt about halfway up his wall, right above his bed. I swept the dirt away and found a tiny hole. Inside that tiny hole were ugly little bugs!! I promptly put a piece of packing tape over the hole so these nasty bugs wouldn't fall out. I moved my son's bed away from his wall and found a long tube of dirt that these lovely bugs make to travel from one place to another. I knocked on the baseboard and it started crumbling away. I thought for sure I would be going into bankruptcy to fix my home. I had three different quotes from three different companies and Orkin was the least expensive out of the three. This isn't the only reason we chose Orkin! Jerry, the inspector who came to my home, actually spoke with me at length about termites. He did a thorough inspection of my home, inside and out and I felt the most comfortable with him out of the three companies who quoted me. I do apologize for not remembering the names of the two men who came out to do the actual work but they were awesome. They knew what they were doing, got it done, and left. They were here probably about an hour and a half to two hours. They worked well together and I fell confident that our problem has been taken care of. Thanks, guys!

So far, the experience has been excellent. We've had no complaints at all. The price is real reasonable. They set up me on a contract which is what we wanted. In fact, the first price I had gotten from this guy who is doing the actual work, the technician, called me back up and said that he would check the prices that he had gotten from whoever set it up. He thought they've given me the wrong prices and came back considerably cheaper than what the original price quote was. I appreciated that. That's attention to detail on their part. They are long-time all-time companies. They are coming back in tomorrow. We've gotten them on contract for the next year and I don't see any reason why we wouldn't just keep them on.

It was great. They did what they said they were going to do. They did it for the price they said. They came in one day and had it all done. The guys were very nice, clean and friendly.

With each application we saw little improvement and although Orkin was responsive to our concerns and returned with each complaint, the same thing was told to us each time and that was this treatment should handle it. And after every re-applicaton,  the tech indicated that no activity was noted.  After each application, however, my wife was bitten and seen evidence of active bed bugs crawling on the bed and in some cases on the furniture. After almost 30 days with my wife still being bitten and our visiting granddaughter being bitten, we contacted a competitor and arranged for a heat treatment which occurred on 2/8/13. As of this date (2/25/13) we have seen no evidence of activity and my wife has suffered no new bites.

(I've used this service in the past and had a service man that was professional, pleasant and hard working. He would come in to spray the home, putting on booties to protect my hard wood floors, and commence to spraying, always making sure that his spray nozzle was between the floor and baseboard where it should be sprayed. He treated my entire property, my home, crawlspace and garage for $90/service. His name was Dale and he was wonderful to work with.
Today, a woman shows up, Patsy, saying Dale is no longer with the company. The first thing she does is lay on my doorbell, then when I don't get to the door as fast as she apparently thought I should, she bangs on my storm door. I answered the door and she steps inside, gives one foot a swipe on my mat, then the other foot a swipe on my mat, and without putting on booties to
protect my floor, traipses through my house in her dirty shoes. She was unkempt, unorganized, unprofessional in her address with me. She moved about my house never once actually trying to spray between the floor and the baseboard. She sprayed my walls, my furniture... at one point, she stopped to admire one of my antiques and then sprayed down the back of it. She sprayed my side chairs, my floor lamp, my china cupboard and my filing cabinet. The list goes on an on. I stopped her several times to point out that she was doing this and she just looked at me dumbly and kept on. I stopped her yet again to explain to her that the spray was and quot;oversprayingand quot; because she wasn't bending down and placing the nozzle between the floor and the baseboard. She still looked at me like she was braindead. Like she was too stupid to comprehend the problem she was perpetuating. I sent her to garage, thinking she couldn't do much damage out there, but she managed to spray my tool box and all the personal items stored on the lower shelves in my garage.
To say that this was a horrible experience would be putting it mildly. To have someone enter your home, disrespect your property and, as a result, disrespect the homeowner that's paying, is unethical, unprofessional and unconscionable!
When she left, I called Orkin customer service. No easy feat because their automated system sends you to the voicemail of the pest control technician. Really stupid. It took me five phone calls and more than 30 minutes to get through to a very nice gal that said she was going to help me. She then put me through to a service manager (Bill or Phil - couldn't quite make out what he said) and she stayed on the line to document. I told them the story and Bill or Phil said that they would send someone out to spray again, but that Patsy (remember Patsy, she's too stupid to not spray the walls) was the regular technician for the area and that she would be back for the next regular treatment. Music to my ears, as you can imagine. So, I questioned a few things. 1) Why was she not wearing protective booties (got no response to that); 2) What were they going to do about my sprayed walls and furniture (the answer was to respray, but nothing else would be done); 3) Why were they charging me the full $90 service fee when there was 8and quot; of snow on the ground and the biggest part of the service to my property could not even be performed (they'd come back later to do that if the snow goes away)
Then, in a fun twist, Bill or Phil says that he's talked to Patsy. He became rude with me, treated me like I was lying about the whole thing, and started arguing with me about it. I raised my voice, cut him off, told him go ahead and steal his $90 from me, then canceled the service.
Horrible companies and customer service like that I do not want to deal with. They ruined my property, and abused my trust. This is not a reputable company.

They are very professional. They always show up in a timely manner. They always call the day before to let you know that they're coming, so if you need to reschedule, you can. Eloy is our exterminator. He is always very professional and helpful. He always asks if we have any specific needs to be addressed. They will come back for free if you notice any bugs in between the two month period.

They were very very good about treating the inside and outside of my home and garage and even my mailbox to warn off any spiders. They did a very good job. He also wasn't hesitant about crawling around in my crawlspace. They were very thorough.

I like that if I notice any activity after they’ve been here, I give them a quick call and they come right back out and spray again at no charge.  They respond quickly after I call them.  I will continue to use them in the future.
