I said a lot above in the "services performed" section. I will add here though, that Dana Carney has a great gift and I believeshe is a woman who has found her calling. As a person diagnosed as an adult with ADD, I know too well the complications, heart-breaks and frustrations that come with going and thinking in three directions at one time. If you think ADD is another term for "just can't sit still," you don't know someone who really has it. It can be debilitating, and it has been for me.
It took great courage, and I told her so, to let her into my home - and then even into my office where I have prohibited family, friends and even cleaning people to go. I told her at the beginning that I was done living with guilt, shame and lost hours of maddening chaos. She listened. And I am convinced now she is going full-on with me into taking back my house, taking back my life and creating peace and order where there has been precious little.
I was anxious as our first real "work" session approached. I paced and fiddled with this and that, not sure I shouldn't call it all off. I worried that this endeavor would end with yet another person telling me how it "should" be - or like so many have, offer trite fix-alls like, "See, we'll put a little bowl here and every time you come in you can put your keys in it!" If I could put my keys in the little bowl I would. I don't run around in a panic every morning looking for them because it's fun. But I have come to own that our futures are ours to create. So I let her in.
I found that this professional, thoughtful woman is not a one-size-fits-all, label-making, organizational "cheer leader" who leaves you with a sterile "do it my way" collection of unusable office folders and nice new boxes with colored tags that will be garage-sale fodder by Fall.
If you just need a file-maker, garage-cleaner-upper... she can do that too. She's a delight to have in my home and has been a genius motivator and supporter. By letting me "be me," she has earned my trust and friendship. My house today is so much farther down the road to being well-kempt and peaceful. There are already patches of it that make me stop and smile. I can do it after all. I just needed the right leadership. Recommend Dana Carney? Yes. 6 Stars here for you Dana..... five just isn't enough.

This was my first time working with an organizer and it was the BEST experience EVER. Dana has the sweetest personality, she is patient, but thorough and understands that it's not easy to let some one else see your "stuff" in a state of madness. She met with me for a consultation looked at the space I wanted organized. We agreed to continue the project and scheduled a date to make it happen. Dana was on time and ready to work, she LOVES what she does and it shows. I was very pleased with the results of her service and would recommend her to anyone who needs any help pulling things together. She offered some great tips on how to keep the space clean and organized. I could not have done this alone and am so happy that I she is in the business.

Contacting a home organizer was something completely new to me. It was also a big step to ask for assistance, as I always like to try and do things myself. However, after an large move across the country with seven children (including a newborn), unpacking was the last thing I felt like doing! We managed to unpack what we needed, but sooo much was left to do in the basement. It also became a "catch-all" to a host of other things that didn't seem necessary upstairs. Soon, we had a mammoth of "stuff" that needed conquered and I had not the energy, nor the time to tackle it. Through Angie's List I found Dana, and scheduled a walk-through estimate. She is very easy-going- yet professional, and I immediately knew I had found the right person. Sorting through personal belongings with a total stranger is not something I looked forward to- in fact, I was dreading it! However, it really was no big deal with Dana. She is a professional through and through, and enjoys helping people. My kids fell in love with her quickly (which speaks volumes to me) and they now love it when she comes over.She is very flexible with her schedule. I had to divide the project over three days in two or four hour increments due to other commitments. I also had to call and reschedule a couple of times- she was completely understanding.Dana is a hard worker and very fair. The most recent time she came, we talked a bit more than usual as we unpacked and sorted. She said she felt badly about not being as efficient (I still felt we accomplished a lot!) and she did not charge me the full amount. That is just one example of her good character. It was a late night for her yet she even made time for my kids, who were zipping around her feet and just wanting to have fun with her as she was getting ready to leave. I look forward to having Dana come back on a regular basis as I delve into further organizing our home. We are blessed to have found her!

I contacted Dana and she had a whole day available within the same week. She works on an hourly rate. We worked together going through the mess that had developed in my room. She is very good at grouping things into categories. It is so much easier to figure out what to do with a group of things than going through each item individually. She also makes it easy to make decisions because she is so nonjudgemental. I don't feel that I have done something wrong because I can't let go of something right then. She finds a place to store it and she helps arrange the whole room. We ended up moving some furniture around that I thought I was going to get rid of. It now fits so well now that I'm keeping it. Another great thing is that she made sure help me dispose of things (or get them to a charity) so that they don't just sit here. This is not the first time that I have used Organize Indy and I already scheduled an appointment to work on the garage next. Dana has already identified someone to come at the end of the session to haul anything that is to be disposed of.

Dana is a true professional who really cares about her clients. She was very tactful in helping clear out sentimental items that no longer served a purpose. She works tirelessly to ensure the job is done well and to bring order at the end of each day. Her cheerful attitude and can-do spirit makes working with Dana a real pleasure. Her trip was delayed less than 15 minutes due to heavy traffic. She phoned me to say she would be a little late. She worked well and was very easy to work with. She didn't tell me what I needed to do with things but let me decide. We accomplished a lot in two hours. I phoned her later to say that my daughter will be helping me continue the work in my home office in the near future. Her response was very positive. She said that would be a good idea because my daughter would know how to locate things.

I read other's reviews on Angie's List and decided Dana was the right organizing professional for me! She was very accommodating as I called on a Friday and asked her to come asap, She offered to come the following Monday afternoon and we scheduled a time. Monday morning came and I was not feeling well and had to call Dana with hopes of rescheduling the same week. She was genuinely concerned that I did not feel well and we rescheduled for a day later in the week. Dana came to the southeast side after working several hours in Fisher's. She called first to make sure I was feeling up to working that day and
was right on schedule. We looked over several areas I ultimately want to have detailed and organized .Dana gave me some great suggestions and tips even for the areas we were not working on that day. She enjoyed meeting our pets and they loved her!
Dana is very professional, non-judgemental, with an upbeat personality and easy to work with. I was concerned a little because I am very particular and slow. But Dana just kept working on something else if I was still on a different file, etc. We accomplished in an afternoon what it would have taken me days to do on my own. Dana was great to keep me on task!
Working with Dana to me was like enjoying conversation with a friend and accomplishing a great deal at the same time! It was a win, win situation for me!!! I will definitely be hiring Dana again very soon to help me reach me goal of an organized home!!!

She and I were able to accomplish in three hours what I could not do in 5 years. Now I have a clean bedroom that I can rent out. I also have a computer room that is functional. I had her come back and she helped me with my bedroom. I will have her over again.

Dana asked what I hoped to accomplish & took a look at the areas I was interested in working on. She took measurements & we went shopping for containers. We found what we needed (she shops very quickly!) & we even found some clearance items that worked well for our purposes. Our home felt less cluttered after her work & my husband (who had been out of town) even commented that it just felt less cluttered. He didn't even know I had her in - mission accomplished! She is very pleasant to work with.

Dana is very thorough and fast. She was able to see past the items and figure out how to store them. We went shopping together at Lowe's and Target to purchase storage containers. We worked together to store and organize them. She spent 2, half days at my home. Dana was able to help me accomplish a large task, that would have taken me 2 weeks to do on my own. I highly recommend her and wish I had hired her sooner.

The experience was great. Dana responded quickly to an email request and came out within a week. It took 3 1/2 hours to organize the kitchen and the pantry. She was very pleasant and worked very hard. I had to take care of my 5 month old daughter and she was very patient. She asked a lot of questions throughout the process to help her understand how we used the space and what had worked for us in the past.

Dana and I met to determine areas where she could help organize our home. She really listened to what my desires were and she gave her ideas and suggestions. We talked about what I wanted to spend and she shopped for supplies we agreed on. I was able to work with her and help with the painting and decorative aspects while she focused on all the organization. She was a joy to work with, so upbeat and always quick to find a solution to any obstacle we came up against. Dana is very knowledgeable about different organizational tools on the market and was able to find the right items to fit my budget. She can build shelves in no time flat! The best thing I can say is that now I WANT to keep everything in its place, it is a much more peaceful place to be since Dana worked her magic.

Dana is great. She has a wonderful personality and is a very hard worker. My husband and I are pack rats and we have 4 young kids. Sometimes when Dana comes to our house things are a disaster. She never makes me feel embarrassed or judged. She just comes in and gets to work. I have been very pleased with every project she has helped me with and she has helped me to be able to get rid of stuff I don't need. I know I am never going to be super organized so the organizing Dana implements is always something I can maintain. I always look forward to the days Dana is coming to my house. She motivates me and I always feel so good with the project we have accomplished on that particular day.

I located Dana from Angie's List and called to schedule an appointment. Once we pinned down a time, she arrived promptly and we got started right away. We had originally discussed that this would be a quick visit to get an idea of what needed to be done. However, she came up with ideas that were easy enough that I felt comfortable tackling them myself. She even suggested where to get the items I'd need, and offered to pick them up and bring them to me if needed! She jotted down notes so I could remember what we discussed. I will likely be able to complete these ideas on my own, but I know that she would be a great resource to help me if I need it! Great job!!
