Organize With Becky

Becky was the best!! I had procrastinated for so long knowing I needed help to organize and clean out my closets. I finally bit the bullet and am so happy I did. I feel such a weight off my shoulders. My house looks so good and is so much easier to function without having unnecessary articles in my home. Becky is so encouraging and has such a great system to go through your rooms and helping to make decisions. It was something I could never do on my own.

Becky far exceeded my expectations in organizing storage in our basement. She was knowledgeable, respectful, and productive! She highly valued my opinions and really coached me throughout the entire process. I really appreciate and connect with her perspective about people, experiences, and our memories that are the most valued and cherished possessions.

We desperately needed help with the overwhelming clutter of combining 2 homes, working full time, raising teenagers, and managing an autoimmune disease. I thought we’d work on our weekends but my husband had another idea. He googled ‘Top Professional Organizers in Indianapolis’ and found Becky. The idea of inviting a stranger into our home and chaos was intriguing as well as anxiety inducing, but it was so worth it. Becky was authentic in her pursuit to understand what our goals and priorities were, how we had arrived at our current state, and any concerns we had. Becky arrived with a huge smile and energy in spades. She immediately transitioned from the professional organizer to a family friend who we were sharing stories and pictures with and the catalyst for making our kitchen and basement space efficient and organized. Becky guided, suggested, and shared experiences to help us decide what we needed, always prioritizing our best interests. We experienced laughter, tears, hard work and shared sarcasm. Having our space in order has provided me with the peace that I had coveted and working through the clutter was both empowering and cathartic. Honestly, I don’t know that I could have or would have done it without Becky and her gifts of organization, sensitivity and laughter.

Working with Becky was great. We got a ton done in two days and our house is now way more liveable and we now have systems for managing the weekly things that need handling. She even was able to facilitate very productive conversations regarding ownership of various tasks or parts of the house between my husband and I. Overall she was great and will definitely hire her again when we need another reset or to tackle another area of the house.

Becky is amazing, She is cheerful and efficient. There is never a wasted minute. But, even more importantly, she is kind. There are occasionally difficult decisions in organizing; Becky guides you through those with understanding.

Becky is so helpful in organizing my life. I have used her multiple times in many different locations throughout my house! Becky taught us techniques for ridding the house of items that are not truly essential and then how to organize the things you keep. (Essential items aren’t much use if you can’t find them!). More importantly, though, she taught us how to approach a large project without getting overwhelmed and things to think about to help combat waning motivation . Today, our move is very close and what Becky taught us has helped tremendously. Our existing house is show ready and we are excited that we have been able to make a plan so that our new home never becomes cluttered. The results have made us feel liberated! Becky was fabulous to work with. We first did some consultation over the phone so she could understand what services I would need, and she worked with my busy schedule to find something that would fit for me. She was kind and understanding without judgment, but gently pushed me to improve my spaces so they would be more functional. The end results were far more impressive (and achieved a lot faster) than if I had tried to tackle these projects myself. I am very happy with what Becky and I completed.

Within 3 minutes of greeting Becky at my door, I knew I had made a great choice for her to help me tackle my mess in the basement. Besides being full of spunk, professionalism, she gained my trust by showing she cared by first taking the time to listen to me and my concerns. The fact that she listened so intently was reflected in her meticulous way she organized the priority of the project. She helped me in ways I didn't anticipate. Not only did she help organize the tangible aspects, she helped me gain insight, clarity and a true understanding of what I valued and what I didn't. My point is, Becky goes above and beyond just simply organizing and removing the clutter. She has a reassuring way of having a person examine the intangible aspects of letting things go. As odd as it may sound, the experience helped me in my own processing of what is important in life and what isn't. I learned many life lessons from her during our time together. I actually used the skills and lessons she taught me in my own garage this summer! I also have incorporated those into my personal life as well. Becky has a special gift that one will never know until you meet and work with her. She has helped me with knowing better what is important in this life.

Becky was so wonderful! She first walked around the whole house and got to know how my family uses the spaces throughout the house. After that we sat down and talked about why I wanted her help and the spaces that bothered me the most. In the end, we did not de-clutter the office or garage but we did all "public" spaces in our home. These included the counters in the kitchen area, the in coming "junk" table, both the kitchen island and dining room table and finally, the coffee tables in both the family and living rooms. Her system of de-cluttering is clear and easy to follow. Becky is excellent at reading your emotions and knowing when to take a break or when to push a bit. We worked two 8 hour days and sent 6 to 8 bags to Good Will, filled both my 64 gallon recycle bins (she is an excellent recycler) and filled my 64 gall trash can. It was an amazing experience. I could not have asked for a better partner in this process. We set up an calendar and medicine area for me which helps keep the family organized. We also talked through rules for the family. I have also learned to put things away and have my family understand what is expected of them. For instance, the incoming junk table became the place for my purse and the drawer became a sunglass holder which is absolutely perfect for my family. I have continued the process and I am now working on the study. I am not as fast as Becky and I were but I understand better how to let things go and make spaces that work for my family and makes me feel much calmer when I walk into a room. I look forward to hiring Becky again in the fall to help de-clutter the children's area. She is an amazing person to work with. I can not say enough about how much of an impact the de-clutter of my house has made on me and my family. Thank you Becky is all that I can say and that is not near enough!

Becky is so good at organizing that I keep having her back to organize my 'next' area! She thoughtfully and compassionately helps you figure out the best way to organize your things for yourself-and helps you decide what to save and how to save it (so you can find it later). One of the best decisions I've ever made was hiring Becky to get my 'stuff' together. She's the best!

Becky came in for a full day to help me organize the basement. She brings sorting and labeling equipment. I needed to provide storage boxes. She deals with the big stuff and the small stuff, such as all my boys Sega and Xbox games. We made so much progress sorting things to "Keep" from those to "discard" that we moved onto the garage. In fact, Becky called a junk hauler later in the afternoon because I wanted to get things out of the house as soon as possible. The hauler took away two loads of "stuff" from 30 years of marriage and three kids college and graduate school apartments. Her energy and upbeat mood is contagious. We had fun and the glow of accomplishment hasn't faded in six months. Be prepared, she is frank in her appraisal of the usability of "cherished objects."

I had scheduled two days (which I recommend). It took me an hour or so to really get in the groove so by the second day I knew the system and already felt as though I could see progress, so got even more done than expected. Never did I feel coaxed into doing anything (or getting rid of anything) I didn't want to or felt as though Becky had an agenda. She would ask some questions and support the methods I had in place just help make them, "cleaner and more organized." I had her back three other days for bathrooms and she spent a full 8 hours with my 12 year old daughter who doesn't want to get rid of anything. A little time with Becky and my daughter got rid of tons and has never looked back. She loves having a clean room and extra space and has even created a decorating plan for her "new room." Becky was very respectful of both of us and met us where we were. The five days with Becky was the best money I have ever spent as a homeowner. We now spend weekends doing family activities not trying to sort through our mess.

Becky was FANTASTIC !! Her giving heart, patience and endurance with an elderly women who does not want to give up anything was impressive. Becky went above and beyond what we asked of her. My mother was gently guided through her accumulation and "let go" of a lot of it. People with dementia have a abnormal way of thinking about things and Becky's kind manner with my mother made the process much more manageable. She allowed my mother dignity and time to emotionally move her belongings along to someone else which could be friends, family or charity . I have great admiration for Becky and her ability to work through this process with the elderly.

I felt cared for from the moment Becky came in my house. She honored my space and items as we sorted through the items in my closet as I made decisions to keep, give away or throw away.. It is clear Becky loves what she does and she does it with grace and love. "Does it bring you joy?" are the words I heard and if I hesitated with a yes response, the answer was definitely no. I have such gratitude for Becky for guiding me through to a more organized closet and home.

It was the best, hard-working day I've had in a long time. Becky is optimistic, professional, extremely perceptive and has exceptional listening skills. In addition, she knows ergonomics and helped me to find the correct posture when lifting or bending. She was prepared for my garage nightmare and we worked together to donate or recycle most items. After 9 hours of work together, we only had 2 bags of trash and 4 times as many to donate and recycle. I truly enjoyed spending time with Becky and really appreciate her positive spirit. She is not at all judgmental, and I look forward to working with her again.

Everything went so smoothly. Becky is a class act. She is like a friend visiting, but helping you get all of your organizing needs accomplished at the same time! I recommend her services to anyone looking to live A clutter free life!
