Susan Bordenkecher and her crew, Tom and Jill were just great! They were very professional and competent and very nice people to have in my home. I thought the price for the work was very fair.

I am very pleased I choose this company. The appointment for an estimate was prompt and very reasonable and detailed in comparison to my other quotes. There are only three workers so communication is easy and I felt comfortable having them in the house whether I was there are not. Susan has a great eye for the colors and worked with the paint store to find a match for my outdated color as well as good matches for trim and ceilings. They were willing to do multiple efforts to cover a stubborn water stain. Tom does beautiful work with caulking and repairs. Another plus was continued communication about any suggested changes in the original estimate so that I was aware of options such as needing or not needing a second coat so that the end cost was right on target with the estimate. The finished job is excellent.

The responsiveness is awesome. They come out give an estimate but say what it's going to be, figure out the estimate and get back to you quickly and they do it in a very timely basis.

I've used Susan before from Northeast Decorators and I have never been disappointed.  For this particular situation, I was in the process of moving into a new home and wanted to get the master bedroom closet painted quickly so I could unpack my clothes first (a woman is lost without access to her clothes :-).  My move date was moved up by 3 weeks, so I was really crunched on my packing/moving timeline.  As usual, Susan was very responsive.  At the last minute (literally HOURS before Susan was supposed to show up to start painting), I realized that I also needed the ceiling painted and I wasn't prepared for that.  I texted Susan to ask if she could do the ceiling as well AND if she could pick up the paint for it.  She showed up at my new home right on time, brought another painter (Jill) with her, AND brought the ceiling paint too.  Jill worked diligently throughout the day to get the job done AND had to run to get more paint because the job took more paint than I was prepared for.  She and Susan finished the job the same day and reinstalled all of the shelving.  They were fabulous!!  The closet looks great.  I will be having them back again to do the rest of the painting in my new home (I've already given Susan a list of the next rooms I want painted!).

For exterior paints, I have a painter and it is Northeast Decorators. I have used them for 20 years. I like their willingness to listen to the home owner and to be very detailed and thorough. I will use him in the future and he is coming back in a couple of weeks.

We found Northeast Decorators through a colleague at work and Angie's List. We couldn't have asked for a better experience! Susan and Tom are absolutely delightful to work with. Their expertise in selecting the best paints and painting with great care and precision are not to be equaled in our experience. They came when they said they would, provided lots of advice and suggestions about the job, gave us a quote and charged less than the quote. They spent the better part of three days on the job and worked steadily. Their painting is flawless! I would hire them again in an instant.

Over the past 12 years, Susan and Tom have painted almost every room in our home and lake house. They do wonderful work! They are always pleasant, prompt, and precise. Susan is excellent at picking out paint colors and also does beautiful faux work. I highly recommend them!

Susan was terrific--she was able to come do the work the day after I called her which allowed me to get my furniture back into the room after hardwood floor installation. She caulked and painted the baseboards and did her usual excellent job. I will definitely call Susan again for all my painting needs. Her customer service is exceptional.

When getting the estimate, they met what the other estimate was. They also brought paint chips to help me pick out the colors I needed for the rooms.
They were on time both days and were super neat and did a great job putting 2 coats of paint on the walls.
Very nice guys and would recommend them to anyone looking for painters. The best I have ever used!!

We were very happy with the service we received from Northeast Decorators. They painted over half of the interior of our house to stage it for sale. Best of all was that they were able to work our job into their schedule and I appreciated their flexibility very much.
I thought the price was very reasonable because I had estimated the hours I thought it would take me to paint the rooms, and I had compared the hourly rate some of the other painters from the and quot;Dealsand quot; list. The hours estimated for the job were nearly identical to what I had estimated, and the job came in right on that amount.
Owners David and Susan are very nice and have helpers when needed for larger jobs. The first day when there was the most to do, both of them were there plus 2 helpers. Usually there were 2 people painting each day. They were very thorough, detail oriented, and concerned about how the job turned out.

We bought a house that had not been well cared for. Previous owners had done sloppy painting and drywall work, and made poor decorating decisions. Susan helped identify many of the problems and gave us excellent advice on how to proceed.
She and her crew spent many days on tedious repair work throughout the house, followed by a careful, conscientious painting job -- the best I've ever seen. It was amazing to see how an excellent paint job could transform the house.

Susan and Tom have taken the 10 year old house we just bought and turned it into a beautiful home. Susan has been extremely helpful with the color choices and has patiently made many trips to the paint store in order to get the color just right. I have owned 9 other homes and never has a painter been so concerned with my satisfaction as Susan is. Susan and Tom are very skilled at what they do. The painting is perfect - no drips or missed spots. And Susan is very fair with the pricing. I feel that I'm getting a very good value for my money. Susan is very responsible and does what she says she is going to do within the given time frame. Susan and Tom are also great to have around. I have never been so comfortable with people working in my home. It's more like having friends over. I would not hesitate to use Susan again and will highly recommend her to my friends.

Susan was prompt in consulting with me on the estimate and her price was not only fair but was well below that of the other 2 bidders for the work. Susan also went out of her way to provide me with assistance on color selections and paint finishes - providing large sample boards for me to review before I needed to commit to color and finish choices. Her advice was really valuable and proved to be "right on" in terms of the result I had communicated to her I wanted. She and her co-worker, Tom, arrived on time and consulted with me during the entire job when they thought it was needed. Their work was meticulous and the resulting paint and wall repair were accomplished with absolutely no problems. One of the rooms they did has a faux finish and that room has already prompted many positive comments from visitors. I have recommended Northeast Decorators to friends and family already and am planning on using them again very soon myself for another painting job.

Removing wallpaper in our kitchen is a part of our kithchen remodeling process. We found this company in Angie's list with hope that she will provide the service we need. Unfortunately we found out at the first day, she is not goot at doing this job. To make sure the other contractors can come back to work on the staffs we originally planned, we have to work the evenings and weekend on our own to make this big project move forward.

I recieved three estimates and Northeast Decorators was almost 30% lower than the highest estimate. They were very professional and prompt in providing the estimate, however I had to wait almost 6 weeks to schedule the work as they are a husband and wife team with one employee. They were very trustworthy and dependable and I felt very comfortable having them in my home while I was at work. The quality of the work is exceptional.
