We called on a Saturday night and they were able to come the following morning on a Sunday without an additional trip charge for the weekend which was great. The operator estimated our total would be between $200-300. When the technician arrived he tried to charge us $299 per spring for a total of $600! We had called another company who gave us their pricing for replacing two springs on a wooden door ($210 total) and told him that we already had them scheduled for Monday and would just use them. At that point the technician told us that he could do it for $300 total. We said that was still high for the work so he then quoted us $250 total. We were just not impressed that they would try to overcharge unknowing customers that hadn't done their research on costs. Additionally, they did not come in a marked truck and we wrote a check to Garage Door Service. When we called the main line we asked the company name because it was not super clear on the website and they said they were Neighborhood Garage Door and also owned Yes! Garage Door and Garage Door Service. We wonder if this service is like the Uber for garage doors where they just find a technician who will do the work and then that technician gets the additional amount they overcharge. Then when we tried to pay with credit card they said that they charge a 3% fee! We ended up paying with a check. The fee for credit card is unheard of in the garage door or various other contractor services we have used. The technician was very nice, but we are not sure what exactly is going on with this company. The way our service was handled was shady and we will not use them again.

Perfect! Knowledgeable, professional, and prompt. Fixed the spring and provided advice for maintenance.

The actual repair was done nicely and in a timely manner; however, I would not recommend them based on project cost. The charge for 1 spring (material cost) was $270. Upon questioning the technician I was told that these were highest quality, lifetime warranty, etc. I discovered after the fact I over paid at least by $200 for the total job. The material cost of the actual spring based on my research was about $75. That is quite a mark-up on the parts. The labor to install 2 springs was $199 and the technician was done in about 30 minutes. I won't dispute labor because I can't do it myself, but overall it was a a very costly repair. He kept mentioning the lifetime warranty was a reason for higher cost; however, upon researching other service providers that seems fairly standard. In addition, when I went to pay they were going to charge me a 3% fee to put on my credit card. No where on their website is this stated or I was not told this in advance. They won't provide an estimate over phone, but others will. That should have been an indicator for me.

It was a saturday and my opener broke, The came out and replaced it. The only part I did not like was that they tried to sell me a new keyless pad when the one I have is universal.

The price, service and quality of the work is above anyother service we have received from any other provider. We have used them several times and they are available 24 hours a day and at no additional cost. Would definitely expmmend them for anything garage door / garage opener related.

service rep was good. mark up on parts was extremely high. would recommend getting competitive quotes before using this company and make sure they provide you a quote before work is done if you even think of using them. Called customer service multiple times and could not get a return phone call.

Was an emergency on a Saturday morning and they came right out!

Our spring broke on the garage door this morning which meant we could not get in or out of garage.  Garage Door Service came out early afternoon and repaired spring plus parts checked out the other garage door.  Was given two quotes to repair the spring.  Was very professional and courteous.  We also were able to use a coupon from a flyer plus our AARP discount. Received a 5year warranty on parts.   Would definitely recommend Garage Door Service to family and friends.
