Mr. Faucet

The guy left a mess behind (solder splashed all around the work area) as well as a couple of his tools. He was supposed to run the pressure relief pipe through an outside wall so that if the water heater ever spewed water it would go outside (because there is no floor drain in the room where the water heater is located). He installed the new heater within a pan (at our request) but the pan's drain cap was never installed. We called him after we saw his work and asked him to come back and get his tools and bring the cap for the pan drain. He initially said he would but never did. Then he would not even respond to our phone calls. Some weeks later I was outside my house and noticed that he had pushed so h****** the water heater's power venting pipe that he had broken the caulking seal that held it tight to the side of our house. After further investigation it became clear that he had installed a vent pipe that was too long thus forcing the caulking seal to break. I made several attempts to contact him (his answering machine message assured me that my call was important! and that he would get right back to me). Eventually one of my calls was answered, and he promised to come the next day and take care of the problem. He did not show or call. My next call was greeted with a recorded message telling callers that he would be out of town for a couple of weeks after which he would take care of any unfinished business. Now, some weeks later, he still has done nothing -- no call, nothing.
