I have been a real estate agent for the past 16 years. I am an independent contractor with United Real Estate which is a rapidly growing agency in Indianapolis and was started in Kansas city in the early 30’s. I have been an independent contractor for Coldwell Banker, Century 21 and Carpenter. I have choose to stay at United because they give me the freedom I need as an independent contractor. In order words I have flexibility on commissions. I am a full service agent so I do not work for free but I do have the ability to be more than fair on pricing. I have been an Angie’s List Super Service Award winner every year since 2010. I have also been named a Five Star Realtor every year since 2011. I work all over the Indianapolis metropolitan area including Carmel, Zionsville, Brownsburg and others. I am a Certified Residential Specialist (CRS) and a Graduate of the Real Estate Institute (GRI). I graduated from Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas. I am married with three grown children so I am able to devote full time to real estate. I work with both Buyers and Sellers. You will find me extremely honest, available, and professional. I listed my house with Mike last fall. I knew it was in a flood plain but did not know there had been recent changes that would drastically increase the premiums for a new home buyer. The real estate market across the country was just starting to learn of the effects these changes were going to have on homes in flood plains. After much discussion and guidance from Mike I decided to take my house off the market and wait since I was not in the position to have to sell. During this time Mike kept me up to date on the flood insurance reform and was available to answer questions and offer support and reassurance through a very frustrating time. When I listed again this past summer I was pleased to have my house sell quickly. Mike and his team helped me search for my new home over the next few months. Throughout the process Mike provided honest feedback on location, price and the positive/negatives of each house we saw. When I found my new home I placed an offer that day and Mike was available, despite a busy schedule, to complete counteroffer/final offer paperwork that evening. After spending over a year working with Mike, and going through some bumpy times in the process, I know I picked the right realtor. Mike is not pushy or overbearing and he was very honest with me even when it was hard to hear. He is knowledgable, patient, trustworthy and it is clear that Mike loves his job. I would not hesitate to recommend him. In fact I recommended him to my uncle during the time I was selling and buying and Mike quickly sold his house too!

Mike did an excellent job working with us and helping us find a home that fit our family. He was professional, prompt, and always kept us informed about what we needed to do next. He helped a ton with negotiations and making sure the price of the home was fair and what was within our budget.

Mike was very helpful with evaluating he value of our property. It sold quickly thanks to his ability to market the property properly and with great pictures which showed the property well on the internet. We had some unexpected issues come up during the inspection process but he helped us to resolve these issues as quickly as possible so that we could continue on to closing. He is a great realtor to deal with due to his knowledge, honesty, and desire to do his job well. I would not hesitate to recommend him to my closest friends and family.

Mike is a very hard working real estate agent. He will give you his full attention no matter what the price of the property you are buying or selling. He helped our daughter find her first home a few years ago and directed her effortlessly through the whole process. Because of her great experience, we listed our home with him this year. Even though our home was a very unique property in a rural area, Mike got it sold in a very short period of time for more money than we had hoped. He is very knowledgeable of real estate values and what the market is doing currently. If something comes up that he does not already have the answer for (not likely to happen very often because he is very prepared), then he will quickly find the answer. I highly recommend Mike Puckett as either your listing agent or buyer's agent or both as we did. He works really hard and although I know he stays busy with many clients, he always treated us as though we were his top priority. He really cares about his clients and takes pride in doing his job well.

Mike did an excellent job selling our house. He is personal, experienced and goes out of his way to make the process as smooth as possible. Since we were living out of state at the time of closing, he offered to be our Power Of Attorney so we wouldn't gave to travel. Mike was a fantastic buyer's agent who represented us as we were looking for a house. The area we were looking was a seller's market and we had limited time to find a house and several requirements that made finding a house challenging. Mike had our best interests at heart, was always available morning or night and even weekends when we had questions and never gave up. When we finally found a house, Mike gave us great advice on negotiating a good price and helped us through the entire process as went back and forth on offers and addressed issues that were found in the house inspection. Mike sat down with us and interviewed us as to what type of house and property we were looking for. Then he took that information and made appointments for us to see houses that fit our criteria. He researched the properties and was very knowledgeable when we viewed the properties to answer our questions. Any questions that we asked that only the seller would know the answers to Mike found out for us in a very timely period. As with many real estate transactions opportunities can arise through the inspection process and the total process. Mike handled these opportunities very professionally and we were able with his direction to resolve these issues in a favorable manner. We were going to be out of town on the closing date and chose our daughter to represent us at the closing. Mike walked her right through the closing with no issues at all. We decided to sell our home and make a move from the south side to the west side of town. We had used Mike before and had great results. Mike talked to us about the value of our home which was higher than what we had originally thought. The property was listed and we had an accepted offer in the first ten days. Unfortunately the buyer received a new job and had to back out of that offer. Mike immediately put the property back on the market and we received an accepted offer very quickly and have now closed. Mike is such a professional and so knowledgeable taking the wants and needs of the his clients into full effect before making a decision. We were so pleased with his efforts that we would like to recommend him to anyone needing assistance in selling or purchasing their home.

Mike provided fantastic service. He was very professional and responsive throughout the process. He was honest with us about what to expect and how much he thought we could sell our house for. He was right on target. He kept us informed every step of the way. When there were glitches with the inspection process He helped us navigate through the issues and even helped to find service providers to do some work. Mike helped me with buying my first home during a rather short time window. He was extremely flexible with my travel schedule, as I was coming in from quite a distance. Throughout the home showings, Mike answered question after question with a true professional's knowledge base and had plenty of advice whenever it was wanted.

Mike was great and my husband and I would recommend him to anyone looking for a home in the Indianapolis area. We were first-time home buyers and as such had a lot of questions about the process. Mike made himself available to us regularly and responded quickly to our questions (often within just a few hours). He showed us several houses, letting us make our own decisions before giving his own input about possible concerns. Mike demonstrates a high degree of committment to his clients and highly ethical and trustworthy. Mike provides advice and recommendations based on pragmatic experience and while he is highly personable, he is also very professional. Mike advised me on the pricing of my parent's home to meet my timeline for contract and closing goals, he suggested the updates and changes necessary to support the listing price and goal timeline for closing on the sale, and was conscious of the budget I was working with to make the changes. I felt that I was getting trustworthy advice. The result was that my parent's home was under sale contract in 4 days on the market and one showing. The sale price met my expectations and I was fully supported through the insection and post inspection process by Mike. Contacted Mike initially in August about selling a home that was owned by my father. He responded very quickly but was actually on vacation at the time and asked if it would be OK to work with his daughter Holly. I said yes and proceeded to work with Holly for most of the time though Mike also was involved throughout. Holly met me at the house and gave me a very good list of what she thought should be fixed or changed and what to leave alone. I'm very glad that I consulted with her when I did because my todo list was much longer and more expensive than hers.

This is the second time we have used Mike. He helped us purchase a home two years ago and because the market was down we decided to rent the old house while we waited for it to come back up. When we decided to sell the old house, I called Mike and he was able to squeeze me in before leaving for a family vacation because he understood the urgency of getting the home listed. We met, went over pricing, put a sign in the yard, took pictures of the house and got it listed almost immediately! The house was on the market for less than 10 days and we got an offer. Mike Puckett is truly an amazing real estate agent! Our family began our home search nearly a year before its completion even as we lived in a different state. Every time we visited Indiana and resumed our search over a weekend or extended visit, Mike was able to meet our tight schedules. He provided multiple listings that met our criteria a week before we arrived. When we visited, he toured each home with us and gave us overviews of each area he was familiar with. Then after each home, he asked us what we thought and he provided his insightful advice (with experiences) if we asked for it. The search never felt like work at any time; it was often as if we were returning to Indiana to visit a close friend!
At the same time, Mike recommended a local mortgage consultant that we worked with early on during the search. It was helpful advice as it prepared us with financial paperwork and approvals for when we found a great home.
Ten months later, we found a great home that we now love! Mike met with us all the way through the closing, negotiated a fantastic price - a price UNDER the home appraisal value! - and called or emailed us regularly just to see if we had questions or if we needed to complete some step in the process. He is a very organized and friendly person and has been a true gem in the field of real estate.
One would think that this was the end of the journey but Mike always goes the extra step. After purchasing the home, he asked if we had any additional needs. We asked about decorating, painting and duct cleaning services and for each one, he had a stellar contact on hand. Each service - interior design, painting and duct cleaning - has been excellent and we would highly recommend (and I believe have "A" ratings on Angie's List.)
Mike Puckett has not only been a great agent but a personal friend and confidant. He has always been honest, explained every nuance and challenge in the overall home search and purchase process and is one of the most patient and talented people I have ever met. Over the year, our friendship has grown and he has become a close friend.

Mike was great. He made initial contact within hours of my message to him. He had done his research and gotten back to me the next day. He was very professional, straightforward, and pleasant. I'm not listing my property at this time, so that was the extent of our interaction. However, I wouldn't hesitate to work with him in the future or recommend him to others.

Our home search and process was made easy and enjoyable with Mike's help and knowledge of the buying process. Our initial contact with Mike consisted of a 3 hour meeting to get to know each other. We were able to get to know Mike and his history and experience with selling real estate. We gave Mike an idea of the style of home we were looking for, as well as, the locations we were interested in buying in. Mike gave us some information about the areas and had some helpful hints for us to look for in our home search. Mike was nice enough to pick us up and drive us to look at homes during our search. We only needed to look at a few homes before we found the one that we ultimately purchased. Once we found our new home, he helped provide us with a home inspection. After the inspection Mike helped negotiate a couple of items that needed taken care of with the seller and kept us informed every step of the way. We are very happy with the service we received from Mike and would recommend him highly to any of our friends and family. We feel blessed to have had such a professional and kind realtor in our home buying project.
