Took the laptop in and discussed my problem He asked a few questions and as it turned out he nailed the problem in the fisrt 5 minutes. It was a wireless mouse plug in the computer that it was was trying to boot on. I didn't have the mouse with me,, but Mike made a few adjustments, cleaned the computer to speed it up and VOILA!!! she worked fine when I picked it up the next day.

Our laptop began to act up and finally it was obviously seized by viruses. We found a computer repair business advertised in the Angie's List Magazine and called them. This was during the week following Christmas and the business was not able to schedule a repair for us until the next week; we made the appointment to take our laptop in on Wednesday, Jan 2. We quickly discovered how dependent we were on our computer and decided to find another computer repair business who might be able to give us more immediate service. We remembered seeing the signs for Mike's Computer Solutions in Clermont. We phoned Angie's List (since we did not have internet access at this point) and asked for the ratings for this business. We were told they were highly rated, with all A's and an acceptable number of reviews to substantiate the A grading. We called Mike's Computer Solutions and arranged to take our laptop into his shop the next day (Thursday, Dec 27). Early Friday afternoon, we received a call from Mike that our computer was repaired and ready for pickup. The work order/billing statement listed the six viruses he had discovered and eliminated. Mike suggested a virus protection that could increase the coverage we had on the laptop. We felt the price for this work was reasonable and fair (and included a 10% discount for our Angie's List membership). We waited a few days to cancel the appointment with the other computer repair business, and also to make this review, so we could be certain that our laptop had no residual issues. We are happy to report that our laptop seems to be working just fine - just like it did when it was new. Mike is friendly and seems to be quite knowledgeable. We were very pleased that he could take care of our computer so quickly. His shop is located very close to our home, so it is convenient for us to take our computer there and pick it up. He is proud of the Angie's List Service Awards that he has received in the past. He mentioned that some other customers had referred to his 'messy' shop' and 'smoke odor' and he has begun to make efforts to not smoke in the shop area - however, our computer bag did need to be aired out to take away the smoky smell. We have already recommended Mike's shop to a friend and we will return to him if we have other computer problems.

My Laptop would not power up, so i went to Angie's list and pulled 2 names from the list that were close to my home. I called both company's. The one company seemed expensive and the other company i had to leave a message. My son called the one company back and i am so glad he did. Mike's Computer Solutions was very friendly and very professional. I got my Laptop back the next day. I would highly recommend him.`

The hard drive was not working properly. The owner researched the problem and found that other computers of this model type had had the same problem. He advised us to return it to the manufacturer and how to do this. It was well worth taking it to Mike's Computer because the diagnosis was done quickly and he was honest. We have used him before and will continue using him in the future. There is no waiting in a line for an inexperience tech to misdiagnose your problem like in some stores.

I called Mike's and left a message in the morning. He called me back alittle later in the day and left me a message. I called him that afternoon and he was able to get my computer in that day at 3:15pm. He told me he would diagnose for virus' and check the sound and get back to me within 24 hours. He called me the next day about 10:00 am and told me some of the problems and gave me a price. I told him to go ahead with the repairs. I was able to pick my computer up at 5:00pm that day. My computer is still not like the day I bought it but it is 99% better. Mike explained stuff to me and helped me to understand some things that I was having trouble with. He was great!!!!

Our computer would not start. Mike offered to come to the home the next day, but to save time, we brought it to his shop. He diagnosed the hard drive was bad. He was able to retrieve most of our pictures, and data. He went and purchased a new hard drive, installed it, backed up all the pictures and data on DVD's, put on a new antivirus software, and delivered the repaired computer back to our home and reinstalled the current printer. While he was there, he offered to look at our lap top that was giving us some trouble and he offered some suggestions to improve its speed. He also installed a new printer on that laptop. He did the additional work in our home at no charge. He also gave us a discount because we were Angie's List members.

Mike finished a day earlier than expected. For all that he did the charge was more than reasonable. He also re-installed all of the programs before he left. He is very good and honest about the charges.

The technician did a very good job for me. I had spilled something on my laptop and had not used it for many years. So, I finally decided to get it repaired and use it again. He did the job fast and he was very courteous. He had to take a part and replace the keyboard. My experience was very good and successful. He gave me a good estimate and he knew what he was doing. My computer was working when he gave it back and I didn?t have any problems. I didn?t have to call him back. The price that he charged was pretty decent. I will definitely use him again in the future.

Mike was very quick ! He had me bring the CPU in the same day and had it finished the next day !! He called and updated me on what he had found and fixed and gave me the price so there were no surprises when I went to pick it up. Would highly recommend Mike for any computer repairs you have. Don't expect any fancy office space or atmosphere...but do expect to meet a guy that knows what he is doing and treats his clients with respect.

Mike was incredibly responsive to my calls for assistance. The first time he came to my home (a Saturday in December 2008), he was there within an hour after my telephone call and had the problem fixed within an hour. He did a lot of trouble-shooting and was able to get my computer working again so that I didn't have to purchase a new computer and go with Vista, which seems to have a lot of bugs that need to be worked out. Mike charged me only one home visit fee even though he came to my home on several different occasions and once on an unrelated matter. The most wonderful part of his service is that he was able to save the thousands of photos I had taken of my grandchildren over the past 5 1/2 years.

I called Mike on a Saturday morning and explained that my desktop was running slow. That, I needed a diagnostic check ran on it and also to check the memory. He said, I could bring it in anytime that day. I took it in and 2 days later, he called and explained the problem was viruses. He told me what it would cost to have it cleaned up and restored and said it would be ready the next day. I picked it up and also left my laptop to be checked. He also had that finished in 2 days. Overall a positive experience and would use his business again.

MIKE WAS HELPFUL, BUT RETURNED MY COMPUTER LATER THAN PROMISED AND WITH LESS MEMORY THAN AGREED UPON. WHEN HE EXPLAINED THAT MY COMPUTER COULD ONLY USE HALF OF THE MEMORY DUE TO DESIGN, I AGREED TO THAT. HE RETURNED THE COMPUTER WITH LESS THAN THE AGREED AMOUNT AND SAID THAT HE ORDERED MORE MEMORY TO INSTALL. WHEN I CALLED AND TALKED TO HIS WIFE, SHE SAID THAT SHE WOULD HAVE HIM CALL ME, AS HE WAS LATER THAN PROMISED FOR THE INSTALLATION. AFTER SIX DAYS AND A VOICE MAIL WITH NO REPLY, I WROTE AN EMAIL TO HIM AND TOLD HIM THAT I DIDN'T WANT ANYTHING MORE TO DO WITH HIM, AND THAT HE COULD KEEP WHAT HE OWED ME. I WOULD SAY THAT HIS BUSINESS WILL SUFFER DUE TO LACK OF CUSTOMER CONTACT AND PROCRASTINATION.

HE DID REMOVE THE VIRUS, BUT DID NOT RESTORE MY DOCUMENTS PROPERLY, WHICH CAUSED ME TO LOSE A LOT OF STUFF ON MY COMPUTER. I HAVE BEEN TRYING TO GET IN CONTACT WITH HIM TO SEE IF I CAN GET MY DOCUMENTS BACK, BUT HIS RESPONSIVENESS HAS BEEN INCONSISTENT.

MIKE WAS VERY POLITE AND EFFICIENT. SINCE I AM HANDICAPPED, IN A WHEEL CHAIR, HE WAS ANXIOUS TO DO ALL HE COULD TO HELP DO THE THINGS NECESSARY THAT I AM UNABLE TO DO. BASED ON MY CONVERSATIONS WITH OTHER PROVIDERS, THE PRICE WAS RIGHT AND THE JOB WAS DONE IN EXCELLENT TIME. I HAD QUOTES FROM 5 DAYS TO 2 1/2 WEEKS FROM OTHER VENDORS. MIKE WAS VERY EASY TO TALK TO AND WORK WITH. MIKE MADE HIS RECOMMENDATION REGARDING ANTI VIRUS SOFTWARE, BUT SINCE I HAD ALREADY BOUGHT THE NORTON PROGRAM I INSTALLED NORTON MYSELF AND I HAVE BEEN VERY PLEASED WITH THE RESULTS.
