The experience was superficial and I didn't think it was worth $95 a visit. It was set up so they could come in at anytime and they did, they were good at that.

The first clean was a deep clean and they did a good job. I was home and they spent an appropriate amount of time at the house. I wasn't home for the next few cleanings, no major complaints it just wasn't quite as great as I prefer. This last time was awful. I was here the whole time and they stayed 45 minutes! At $146/clean, i'm paying $75/girl per 45 minutes. Not worth it! I have a large gap under my tv stand and they didn't bother cleaning underneath it.

It was okay. I wasn't happy at first. They came back out and did a few things. My expectations of things are very high and I'm sure they tried to do the best they could. I just wasn't blown away by their cleaning at all.

I love the clean house smell when you walk in the door. I could tell the house had been deep cleaned.

Basically, there were several spots missed (and I'm not being overly critical). For example, there was still dust and spider webs on the lighting in the bathroom. The refriderator had several water stains and overall places that were missed. Just things of this nature. After I got down to clean it, I decided no I paid for this service, especially since I'm pregnant I shouldn't have to do this. They then sent out another pair, who basically showed up without the proper tools to clean and continued to let me know what I could do to finish cleaning! They also didn't clean "certain" areas, which I didn't understand, for example, the bottom of the oven. They can clean around the bottom, but not the actual drawer and bottom. I was confused by this! I don't think of myself as a hard to please person and yes some areas were cleaned properly, but my expectations definitely weren't met.

It was all right.  My memory of Merry Maids 7-8 years ago was that they were AWESOME, so this was a disappointment, but they got the job done okay.  The toilet was always sparkling clean.  They were prompt - often early, in which case they called ahead to make sure it was all right to come on over.  They were honest - nothing ever disappeared.  They were friendly and presentable.
But there was not a lot of attention to detail.  They mopped the bathroom floor, but left dirt in the corners.  I don't think they ever cleaned the water dispenser in the refrigerator door, even though I confirmed with the office that they were supposed to.  The base of the kitchen faucet didn't get very clean - I mentioned this to the office person, & her response was that it's hard to clean faucets unless you use a lime treatment, which the cleaners have to request specifically for the job.  They were supposed to wash the hardwood floors, but I didn't see any evidence of it (that might mean that they did a thorough job of drying the floors, but they didn't look particularly clean.)  One time they put the sheets on our king size bed sideways (granted, it's almost square, but you can tell when you get it wrong), but I left a note for them the next time & they got it right thereafter.  They were supposed to leave a card when they left, telling us which rooms got "special treatment," but that rarely happened.
If I need this service in the future, I'll probably look elsewhere first & come back to Merry Maids if I don't find something else.

Initial meeting: My fiance and I both work full time jobs, so we were excited to get a cleaning service to help ease the workload at home.  Merry Maids sent out an agent to give us an estimate.  The estimate was ~$220/month for a bi-weekly full service.  The lady explained that if we signed the contract right then an there, they could have people at our house to do a complimentary "deep" clean of the condo (a ~$200 value).  This "deep" clean, they explained, would be their top of the line service: all surfaces cleaned, scrubbing the baseboards, etc.  She mentioned we could cancel the contract, penalty free, for up to 3 days after signing, but we would have to pay them for the complimentary cleaning.
First and Final Cleaning: Merry Maids was scheduled to come at 12:00pm, so my fiance worked from home in the morning to let them in.  They did not show up till 1:30, stating that another job took longer than they thought.  If only they had spent a little extra time on our 2 bedroom condo, maybe we would still be in business with them.  They left one of our two bedrooms completely untouched, while the rest of the condo was cleaned with the detail of someone who was trying to make up an hour and a half of lost time.  The bathroom counter was half cleaned (toothpaste still visible), and the baseboards untouched.  If this was their idea of a "deep" clean, I certainly did not want to see what a regular cleaning looked like.  
Cancellation:  We decided that this level of service was not something we wanted to continue paying for, so we decided to eat the $200 cost of the "complimentary" cleaning.  After numerous phone calls attempting to cancel the contract, finally we were able to complete the cancellation.  However, when we saw the charge from Merry Maids hit our credit card statement, it was for $311.  When we called to correct this error, they referenced the fine print of the contract stating that the "deep" cleaning service was on top of the already regular service of $111.   This directly conflicted what we were told by the sales representative.  I asked them, considering the sub-par cleaning job, to correct this error and ONLY charge us the $200 we were expecting.  The lady said that she would not do that, and there is nothing that she could do to rectify the situation.  When I asked to speak with her manager, she explained that she was the manager.  I was dumbfounded.
Summary:  I cannot stress how disappointed I am with Merry Maids.  They misrepresented the contract that we signed, showed up late to the appointment, did a poor job cleaning, and after all that, were not remotely accommodating.  From the late start to an early finish, their quality and professionalism was abysmal.

I called and someone came out later that day to provide an estimate. She was very friendly and helpful and was able to give me a quote that day. I stopped by their office that day to give them the keys and scheduled a complete clean for early the following week. The house was completely empty, no furniture etc. I was told that the floors would be cleaned, all cabinets and woodwork cleaned, appliances cleaned inside and out. My husband inspected the work the following day and was quite disappointed. There was still dust everywhere the appliances were streaky and not clean. He called and was told to prepare a list of all the things that needed to be fixed. They came out again a few days later. It did look better after that but as I did more work on the house with painting and getting the house ready to place on the market I continued to find problems. It still was not done at the level I would expect. The trim work was dusty and dirty, the wood cabinets were not clean, it simply seemed as if attention was not paid to the details at all. It was cleaned as if there was a family living there, appeared ok on the surface but when getting to the nitty gritty it was not clean at all. It was an empty house that needed to be overhauled and polished and the polish was simply not there. Very disappointed over all.

I have been with this company for almost 10 years. They have cleaned my house every other week. The major problem with this company is the cleaning is not consistent. It is dependent on which crew comes to your house, if they're running late or stressed out, and what time of day that they come. Time they would spend cleaning would vary from 45 min to 2 hours and always at the same price whether or not they cleaned everything they were supposed to. I have tried to work with the managment over the years many times. They tried to accommadate me by giving me the same crew but the cleaning was still inconsistent. I requested a window of time for cleaning which they never never accomadated.  Positives:  the price for cleaning is very resonable, I was comfortable with the people who came to the house, and when the team was having a good day, the cleaning was great.  But, unfortunately, I am leaving this company unhappy and would not refer them to anybody.

They got lost on the way to the appointment so they were a little late to show up.  They were apologetic about being late. They did an excellent job cleaning the apartment though.   They shampooed the carpets, cleaned out the window seals and other basic cleaning.  They came out on very short notice.

They are reliable and they are bonded.  They do just what they say they are going to do. I don’t get any deep cleaning done.

I like the cleaning job they do.  I've had two instances where I've had to call and report a problem.  One was with the shower doors.  They were sort of bending them while they were cleaning them.  It was a safety hazard.  The other complaint was that they are suppose to be here between 10:30 and 12:30.  A lot of times they don't come within that time frame.  That makes it hard to schedule other things.  I have hardwood floors through out the house, except the bedrooms, and they do a wonderful job on those.  Definitely an A for professionalism.  I'll continue to use them in the future.

They were incredible. I am giving their services as a Mother's Day gift. They have the right tools, solvents and cleaners. Everything they do is top-notch. I was absolutely impressed.

Woman who did free estimate very nice. Two women came while I was at work to clean. Very disappointed! Didn't do a half-way job on anything, only doing about 1/3 of what was on their "we do this every time" check-off list. I'd had MM about 10 yrs prior, same experience, but figured new staff, hopefully better work, but it wasn't. Manager did send out 2 different women who did an excellent job, but I felt only because I was there micromanaging them. Not worth the money if I'm having to spend an entire 4 hrs supervising. Sad, because there's such a dire need for quality housecleaning!

I was not satisfied with their service. I don't think they did the work I paid for.

They have been good. They will come back when you have a problem and make sure that everything is done in the right way. They are pretty responsive to our needs, as we had a problem when they got it corrected immediately. The price charged by them is fair. I will use their services in the future as well.

They will even do extra things at no charge. They will do things like baseboardss and a few windows. They take care of the things that women notice.
