Because the original cashier scanned the same item twice ( you know that they always do that with multiple items of the same price. ) the receipt reflected and 2 purchases of the same stain. I was told because the correct sku number was on the receipt I could only get a store credit. Mgr gave me # for corporate but it only gives options to send written complaint. Who does that?

The man in the kitchen center has helped us many times with 3 different projects. The Medallion series s of cabinets Menard's carries are the best that we have found for the price. The computer software they use to layout your kitchen is very helpful, and they will do several different layouts to see which one will work best. We have been there so often the staff remembers our projects and our faces.

They refused my claim saying the delivery company who they chose and they billed me for was responsible. This company had no insurance and would not respond to the damage claim. I expect to sue both to collect.

I brought the sander to my home only to find that one of the Velcro pads was stripped and was not holding the sandpaper pad. I returned this sander and the people were very apologetic. They gave me a different sander and refunded the time I had paid for. I took this sander home and began using it. I noticed it wasn't working as well as I had hoped and was having trouble cutting through the finish. After several hours, I finished the first sanding in my living room (a 12X14 room) and moved onto the office. As soon as I started, the machine began jerking violently. I noticed one pad was not spinning properly and removed the face plate. I then realized the belt on that pad had been stripped and the machine was rendered useless.
I took the sander back and explained what had happened. They refunded what I had paid and apologized. Although I appreciate their cooperation, I really needed these sanders to get this job done before the weekend ended. I ended up going to a different Menards location and renting a different sander.

We go to this store at least once a week and are always very pleased. We like the fact that they walk us to what we are looking for and specialists are always available to answer our questions. We also really like their sale prices and rebates. We highly recommend this store to others.

Our contractor likes Menards too. Everything we got for the bathroom we got from Menards. My husband put all solid oak hardwood floors in and he got really good pricing. They had all the quantity that we needed. They always have everything. They provide online only specials if you sign up for their email list and they have really good pricing on that.

I purchased special order carpet on 10/9/2010. Two employees assisted in figuring the amounts I needed from the room measurements I provided. I ordered a scuptured carpet for our family room. The employee explained to me that there was no pattern or repeat in the carpet. Since our family room is 15 feet wide and the carpet comes in 12 widths he said it would work to order one 12 foot wide piece of carpet aproximately 4 feet longer that the room length and then turn the excess 45 degrees and seam it to the other piece. I took his sugesstion since he was the professional and ordered the carpet. The estimated date of the carpet arrival was 10/17/2010. I was told by the employee that Menards would call me when the carpet arrived. On 10/20/2010 I still hadn't heard from them and called to get an update. They seemed suprised I hadn't recieved the postcard they said they had mailed when the carpet had arrived on the 17th. I then was able to call my installer to set a date for service. When he unrolled the carpet and I told him how the menards employee had advised me to order he was dumbfounded. There was indeed a pattern with a repeat every 16 inches. He also informed me that regardless of pattern or not you never turn carpet and seam. You always install carpet with the grain going the same way. He was amazed that they would suggest installing carpet in this manner. Thankfully our installer was incredibly talented and patient. He was able to match the pattern with the limited carpet available and the seams (4 of them) are invisible. I am very disapointed with the flooring department's advise given during the transaction. Thankfully our installer was able to fix the issue and we are very happy with the results. P.S. I picked the installer from Angies list for his rave reviews and will be writing one of my own.

The flooring that I purchased was damaged and started cracking shortly after it was installed. They made me fill out a letter that I had to mail to their customer service area informing them of my problem. They then sent the manufacture a letter informing them of the problem, and bowed out of the $5,000 worth of wood that I had purchased from them. I then had to deal with the manufacture that was located in South Carolina. Menard's became a third party even though I purchased it from them; they didn't stand behind their products. They didn't care about me as a customer, they just cared about their policy. I didn't feel that they listened to me as a customer. I would give them an F in the processes that they have in place when dealing with customers that have problems with products that have been installed. I won't buy anything from Menard's again that requires installation.

THE SALES PERSON WAS VERY NICE and HELPFUL BUT I WISH HE WOULD HAVE BEEN MORE UP FRONT and JUST TOLD ME THAT THE REFRIGERATOR WAS NOT OF VERY GOOD QUALITY. EVERYTHING IN THE STORE WENT VERY WELL THOUGH. WHEN THE DELIVERYMEN CAME OUT, THEY COULD NOT GET THE APPLIANCE THOUGH THE DOOR and INTO MY KITCHEN. I ENDED UP HAVING TO REMOVE THE DOOR and BRING IT IN, THEN RE-ATTACH THE DOOR MYSELF. I UNDERSTAND THAT THE DELIVERY GUYS COULD NOT HAVE DONE THIS DUE TO LIABILITY BUT I SERIOUSLY THINK MENARDS SHOULD TRY TO CHANGE THIS POLICY.
