Tom spent a lot of time with us prior to the installation. He was very helpful with questions and designs. We have a new vinyl dock that looks great.

For background, a timber harvest took place on our property in Nashville, IN last summer and the 3 acre lake basin was constructed by an excavator. The lake was full of water by end of January. After reading several very positive reviews of Meador Dock late last year I contacted Tom and he provided me with an estimate to build the dock, ramp and attach a bench and ladder. We kept in touch during the first quarter. Then with the heavy rain during April and early May, we were in a holding pattern until the ground was firm enough to transport the dock through the woods and to the lake. On very short notice, I called Tom Friday morning and told him the ground was probably firm enough to install the dock. Tom immediately adjusted his schedule, loaded up the dock and other items on his trailer and a few hours later met me at my property. I showed Tom the best path to the lake. It was a winding drive through a clearing, then on a narrow path through the woods, then down a steep decline to the lake. Tom expressed some concern about the distance, the narrow path through the woods, and the fact that the ground was still very wet in some areas. He evaluated options regarding how to navigate the trailer down to the lake - heading straight in or backing the trailer the entire distance. Tom was confident that he'd find a way to get it done. He then jumped into action, and decided to back the trailer. At one point there was less than spare 9 inches between two trees. No problem! Tom backed the trailer close to the lake and launched the dock into the water. Then attempting to pull the trailer up, his truck started to spin the tires in the wet earth. Tom was not concerned. He proceeded to install the deck, dock, bench and ladder, then loaded up his tools. He said if the truck was stuck, I'd need to drive my Truck down the steep decline to pull him out - something I was not keen to do. Tom then proceeded to pull the trailer out and up the hill. What a great relief. Tom did an amazing job and had a smile on his face the entire time.

Great. He called before he came. He was prompt and business-like, and completed the job quickly on a muggy day by himself. He quoted me a price before starting but reduced that price upon completion of the job when it turned out the job was not as difficult as expected. I would recommend him for any similar job. Tom was extremely helpful in providing us with all of the information we needed to make an informed decision about our boat dock and the materials to be used.  He went over the decking options and explained how his floats were different than those at local hardware stores.  Once we knew what we wanted, he came out to show us our color choices and answer any additional questions we had.  We ordered our dock at this point and a little over 2 weeks later he had it installed.  We could not be happier with how it turned out!

He replaced one bent post and got the dock back in the water.

Mr. Tom Meador arrived at our home the day after I phoned him.  He brought a swim ladder if I wanted to replace the damaged ladder then looked at the dock and the float.  He replaced the damaged ladder, removed several deck boards, re-positioned the float then  re-attached the deck boards.  Mr. Meador obviously knew what he had to do, wasted no time and inspected the dock and all floats.  Great job!

Tom worked with us, with a short window of time, as we moved into a new home. He was professional, timely, and delivered everything as promised. He was a pleasure to work with and I would recommend him to anyone.

Provided many options for the actual dock. Lead time was approximately 3 weeks. No frustration, everything was textbook. Would definitely use provider again.

Tom came out when he said he would, convinced me to minimize the work to the dock (saving me money), and was in and out with little or no disruption.

The job went well.  Tom is quick and efficient.  He does not have the best people skills and can be difficult to speak with, but he knows what he's doing and he does good work.

Tom built and installed a custom sized dock for our home on the White River as well as building separate stairs from the bank into the water. He guaranteed both projects would last thru floods and high water. After just experiencing one of the ten worst floods recorded, both the dock and stairs still look brand new. And our boat was unscathed .

He started on Monday, and was finished by Saturday. He was very good to work with, he's very creative in design. He did a wonderful job, and he actually saved me money.

It went very well. They were extremely responsive. It was good quality and price.

We called Mr. Meador, and he came by to give us an estimate. Then when we asked him to do the work, he did it. Sent us a bill and we paid it. We never met him in person, but he was very nice on the phone and the estimate was thorough.

They were really efficient and got the work done ahead of the schedule that I had anticipated. We were very pleased with them. They broke down the cost to show exactly how labor and parts were. At the end of the day, they fixed a chronic problem that we had paid hundreds of dollars for the last 3 or 4 years to be completed that the another company didn't do right.

Quick estimate. Solid Information. Good advice. Reliable time frame. Cost equaled estimate. Good work.

We are very pleased with the quality of the work and installation. Mr. Meador was very helpful and worked with our schedule. He was more than willing to answer all our questions. He built the dock himself. It took about two weeks from the time we signed the contract. He also installed the dock himself in one afternoon.

I think the price was a little high, all the quotes were about the same, but I still feel like we paid too much for the finished product.

My compliments and thanks to Tom Meador. He was throughout very prompt, professional, and patient; always on time, always kept his word and did what he said he was going to do, and was a pleasure to work with. We live in a community where all dock construction and lighting must be preapproved by a homeowners' committee. Tom was very helpful throughout this process, waiting as I did for the committee's decision, which took a while. To my surprise and pleasure, Tom didn't specify any partial payment in advance, and even better than that, he built and delivered the finished dock and did the whole job on our property in less than two weeks after approval was granted. We are so very pleased with Tom's work and would unreservedly recommend him to anyone as an excellent dock builder and a very competent gentleman.

HE WAS A VERY NICE PERSON. HE ALSO DOES LANDSCAPING. I'M SURE HE WOULD BE GOOD AT THAT TOO!
