Marley came out and measured our property and gave us a written quote for the project within 2 hours. We accepted and he was able to fit us into his schedule for the very next day. His turn around time is always amazing. You can tell he has a great relationship with his suppliers. Installation was great - Marley and his team were finished in one day and he sent me pictures along the way and waited until we got home to make sure we were satisfied. This is the second property I've used McDaniel and Sons on, and I'd highly recommend him to anyone. He is extremely reasonable and fair in his pricing, and offers great design tips and is extremely knowledgeable about what vegetation to recommend based on the area you'd like to plant and the type of maintenance you prefer.

The system was designed so the water does not hit the house and cause a rust color accumulation. The hosta beds in my yard are also recipients of the water. The several zones in the system are set so the front yard is watered last--thus eliminating the chance of visitors getting wet when they come to the front door. A deluxe control box was installed on the back porch, and it allows the scheduling of water output to be changed as desired. The job was done in a timely manner with as little disturbance to the yard as possible

The original bid specifically noted sod to cover 1,650 sg ft. After installation, Mr Mc Daniel advised that the bid was based on a smaller dimension and that he would require an additional $ 700 to defray the costs. We believe that a bid, especially one that details (unambiguously) the dimension of work , should not be subject to change. Mr. Mc Daniel also performed an edging and mulching of our flower beds. After the fact we discovered that the sod cut in the process of edging had been returned to the bed beneath the mulching! It should also be noted that Mr. Mc Daniel had payment made to him personally, rather than to his business. In sum, we were not happy with either the quality of the work performed, or the business practices, of this company and will not be using them again.

Rock was grey and original rock was brown. This would have been fine if the rock would have been mixed together. The estimate was to install weed barrier. This was not done.

This company is dysfunctional, unreliable and unprofessional. I was initially contacted by Marley who scheduled a consultation appointment. The first one was rescheduled because a tire blew. The appointment was scheduled for a time that my husband and I normally are working but adjusted our schedules to meet him. I called to confirm appointment at 3pm, Stacy confirmed he would be there. He did not show and no call was issued. I called Stacy several times who said she too could not reach him. Finally 2.5 hours later Marley returns a text that states "I thought because it was raining you would know we weren't coming". I called him immediately, he didn't answer but called back shortly after. He blamed the misunderstanding on his receptionist, said he had to fire her because she was supposed to call and reschedule again. Note: it rained for 10 minutes. Marley apologized and rescheduled for the next day at 9:00 am and said "rest assured he would be there". Next day comes and 9:00am passes, no Marley. I called his office number and cell number and no answer. I left a message asking for him to call back, nothing. At 10 am I told him we were done with him as he was unreliable and unprofessional. I received a text back stating I was rude and he told me if it rained they wouldn't be here. It had not rained, it was not wet and the day before he stated he would arrive at 9. A call would have been enough to reset the expectations. I would advise anyone to avoid the headache of dealing with this person. He has no respect for the time of others, is completely unprofessional and unreliable.
