The person dumping the gravel made a mistake and spilled a pile of gravel. He apologized profusely and said his son would be out to spread it. His son shows up and a little while later knocks on my door; the neighbor's dog is "attacking" him and jumping on him hindering his efforts and he does not like dogs. My neighbor is at work so the son asks me if I am friendly with the dog, which I am, so he asks me to occupy the dog while he finishes up because "it won't take much longer" I just started my lunch break so I went down and entertained my neighbor's dog for what ended up being nearly an hour. I was working from home so I had to work 45 minutes longer because of it.

They were very prompt and provided same day service. My only complaint was that quite a bit got into the yard and although he did rake out part of the drive he didn't at the end. There was a big pile in the middle and no new gravel on the sides.

Excellent! From my initial call, Mr. McCoy was pleasant to work with. His service was very prompt and everything was done timely. He came to the house to do an estimate, which was important to me so I could explain what I wanted. Other providers just wanted to google our address and provide an estimate that way. While that may work in many cases, our driveway is kind of L shaped, plus we needed to extend it a bit to cover some damage we were doing to the yard by needing to park there.

His price was reasonable for the amount of gravel, plus they spread it nicely and the edges were neat.

It looks much better and no more puddles! I would definitely use this provider again and recommend him highly.

They came out and did an estimate that was close to the actual price. Within two days of the estimate they were here delivering the gravel. They did five loads of two different sized gravel. Everything went well and was completed quite quickly!

Excellent!  Mr. McCoy replied promptly to my info request and was able to fit delivery into my schedule.  Kept me up-to-date on when he would arrive, how long it would take and when completed.  Would definitely recommend this service provider.

McCoy's delivered and spread driveway stone.  A man first came to my property, looked at the job and quoted me a price.  They showed up on time as scheduled  Talked with me again as to where I wanted the gravel spread and did the work as agreed.

All went well.  Showed up on time and did exactly what was expected.  One truck wasn't enough, so we ordered one more, which they delivered immediately. The reason for the 'B' on quality, is that I asked if the stones were washed, there was quite a bit of dust, so I do not think they were washed completely.

They did a very accurate estimate for my oversized driveway and both drivers could "thread a needle" with their dump trucks.  The stone was spread very evenly and will require very little hand work.  All McCoy's staff were very professional and personable.

I called McCoy's at the reccommendation of my builder.  It was suggested by my builder that I would need 2, possibly 3 standard loads of stone (10 tons).  I also called several other companies for price quotes.  McCoy's was the only company I called who was able to deliver the stone same day which is what I needed due to a rented bobcat on site that was available to spread the stone.  The first load was delivered precisely on time but the truck did not seem to be fully loaded.  It actually looked to be only about 2/3 filled.  When I brought this up to the driver who I later found out was the owner of the company, he assured me that it was a full load of 7-8 tons.  Other companies quoted me the same price of $220 plus tax or slightly more, up to $260, for a load of 53 stone but none could deliver today.  My experience is that a standard load is 10 tons.  I've ordered several loads of stone in the past and the loads have always been 10 tons.  If Indiana is different, that's news to me but the truck still appeared to be less than complete.  The second load was only slightly more full but contained a lot of frozen ice in with the stone.  After the second load it was quite obvious that this would not be enough stone so after asking for 3 loads I called and informed the dispatcher that I would need more stone and I'd like to discuss my concerns about the size of the loads with the owner.  He informed me that the driver of the first truck was in fact the owner.  When the driver of the first load (the owner) returned with the 3rd load, he arrived with a hand written invoice for the payment of 4 loads at $220 each plus tax for a total of $941.60.  The 3rd load appeared to contain even less stone than the first load.  I again voiced my concerns and explained to him that I would likely need more stone.  He said that the 4th load would be the last one available today and that the 4th load was on the way.  I asked him if there was any way that he could adjust the cost since the loads appeared to everyone but him to be incomplete and smaller than standard which is why we would need more stone.  He looked at me as if I were crazy to question him and said if I had concerns, I should have mentioned them before he dropped the first load.  I explained my displeasure with my builder who said he had only used McCoy's once before and did not notice any issues but he assured me that they would not be referring any more business to McCoy's in the future.  I expressed my displeasure with the owner of the company but he made it very clear that he had no desire to accomodate my concerns or discuss it with me in any way.  I would suggest that you avoid McCoy's to avoid a possible similar experience to the one I had.  I will need to call another company to provide the additional stone I will need to complete my building as well as the gravel driveway I will install once the building is complete.  I will review whoever gets my future business at that time later.  Thanks and good luck.  David Orosz

McCoy's was a pleasure to work with.  They were able to deliver the gravel earlier than originally anticipated, were very accurate with their estimate of how much I'd need, and arrived before the scheduled time.  Our driveway has a few challenges, but they were able to spread it from their trucks very nicely. I doubt I'll spend more than half an hour raking it for that finishing touch.  The McCoy brothers were courteous and professional. I'm very glad I gave them a try and I will certainly hire them again.

He came the day after I got the estimate. He called before he left and he dropped the gravel and spread it for me. It looks great! He also offered an estimate to the nice elderly lady that lives behind me. He was very nice.

We requested a load of pea gravel be delivered for a landscaping project. The gravel was delivered the next day and placed exactly where we requested. We were called and notified 15 minutes prior to the delivery which was nice so that we could move vehicles out of the way. We appreciated the quick delivery and the very competitive pricing.

They were awesome. He did the truck in 2 swipes and it was done and even. We didn't have to get out and move the gravel like we thought. It was perfect. We thought we were going to have to shovel a lot of gravel to smooth it out but the way he moved the truck was just awesome. It was great. We would absolutely use them again.

They took good care not to damage property and to drop it as evenly as possible with the truck.  However, they left heavy piles up by the garage that I had to even out manually
