We've had all of our windows replaced with Pella over a period of years by McComb. The quality of the windows and the work done by McComb from ordering to installation was nothing short of exceptional! They recently replaced the windows on the front of our home that were over 20 years old. All but a few were still in great condition, but we decided to replace all of them with a different style that will make cleaning the windows much easier. Once again, it was an outstanding experience! On a scale of 1 to 10, McComb is an 11! My Dad was a representative for Andersen Windows. He strongly recommended Pella over ANY other brand. Based on our experience, he was absolutely right!

It went very well. The new door was delivered right on schedule and the installers came later that day, right on time. They managed to get the new door into the house and installed without getting the inside of it at all wet during a driving rainstorm! They came back to caulk the outside when it was dry the next day. They gave me discounts because I didn't want a screen door and because I wanted to paint the inside myself to match the rest of my trim.

Very pleased with door replacement. Originally discovered door frame was rotting and was told the entire door and frame had to be replaced. Contacted several vendors and ultimately selected McComb Window & Door. I ordered a factory painted door which arrived 2 months later. Door was delivered the day before the install date. Installer arrived in timely manner and took less than a day to finish the job. At completion, the installer cleaned up his work area and provided me details about the door.

We had a positive experience with this company's service department yesterday. A knowledgeable tech named Phil did an excellent job of replacing a window sash. He happily answered all of our questions about our windows which was a real plus.

We have an older home and decided to replace a non-standard size door. It was an expensive project to replace the door and sidelights. The lock/handle never seemed quite right. After a couple of months it stopped working altogether. We were unable to open the door- it was locked shut and the handle seemed to be broken. We called McComb but it took several days before someone was able to come out. In the meantime we could not enter/exit through the front door of our home. Finally someone came out and after working on it for a while got the door open and found a screw that had come loose. He was able to fix it and it now seems to be fine. Although I still think the handle feels slightly loose and cheap. I would not recommend the door for anyone with small children because it unlocks simply by pulling the handle down inside and is easily opened by our 4 year old. I did not understand what the salesperson meant by “triple locking mechanism” and I thought that I made it clear that I wanted to operate the lock with a key on the inside as we had with the deadbolt before. I am extremely unhappy with the glass which is very obscure. I specifically asked the salesperson if I would be able to see WHO was at the door through the glass. You might be able to tell if the figure is large or small through the glass we have, but it is impossible to tell who it is. Overall I am not impressed with the communication we received from the company.

Outstanding Service, communication and craftsmanship from beginning to end. Dan, who did the estimate, was friendly, professional, provided excellent customer service, follow-up and gave us a lot of helpful information about our windows. A different Dan, who installed the window was also outstanding. He was on time, provided a courteous arrival time call, was very careful and conscientious and did an excellent job installing the window and sealing all our Pella windows. We will definitely use them again in the future and highly recommend them.

With Angie's list intervention, we received rapid response after our initial negative review of our experience with this company. A technician was sent out the very next morning to complete the job. He was very professional and on time. While the outcome is satisfactory, we're disappointed that it took so much effort to get the job done, and probably will not use this company again.

Not good. Trim guy did a terrible job. Caulking on the outside I have had redone by another professional. I called McComb and all they did was send me two tubes of new caulk. That's standing behind your work, really!

The overall experience was outstanding! We have worked with many home repair services in the past and this was one of our best experiences and outcome. Bill, the salesperson, was very knowledgeable and was able to answer all of our questions and gave us a detailed estimate. McCombs sent us a letter shortly after we signed our contract and gave us contact names and phone numbers to use if we had any issues or had more questions. We received a phone call a few days before installation to confirm the appointment. Delivery of all the windows and materials arrived on time and per the communication. The delivery team was very professional and friendly. The installation team of Brock, Chris and Scott were great. They showed their great experience. They showed great team work through their organizational and implementation skills. Brock walked us through the project at the end to inspect every window to make sure we were satisfied. We are very happy with our new windows and are glad we paid for the quality product and services.

From the initial consultation to the installation, this has been a very smooth process. All measurements were double checked for accuracy, delivery of the product was on time and the guys were really great. Installation went smoothly despite some rain. The guys were polite, friendly, and professional. They made sure they did everything right from beginning to end. If I ever needed to, I would hire them again and would recommend them to anyone.

Was very pleased with the entire process and LOVE my new Pella door unit. My salesman, Chad, was informative and professional. He was easy to get ahold of and responsive in a timely manner. The door unit was delivered the day prior to installation and the installers arrived on time. Fortunately, the mid-December weather cooperated and the old door unit was removed and the new unit was in place relatively quickly so as to minimize heat loss. I had purchased a new doorbell and re-used the previous door's handle set/lock as it was less than a year old. The installers installed all of that for me and were careful to pull the alarm system wires through so that my alarm company could come out later to re-install the door alarm. They were able to re-use my existing door trim and their painter came out the next morning to fill nail holes and paint the inside trim. I had provided the information regarding the trim color/paint to my salesman and they had gotten the exact paint that had been used. There was a slight issue with getting the door/lock to latch without slamming or pushing on it but the installers tried various adjustments and worked with me until I was satisfied with it. I was especially impressed when a couple of months later I received a check in the mail from McComb. I called to determine what it was for and they told me there had been a price adjustment between the time I had ordered the door and when it was installed, so they were refunding me the difference. I never would have known that and this just proved to me what a wonderful and honest company this is. Very impressed. I had had other companies out for estimates and McComb had the best price by far!

The first installer who showed up installed the doors wrong, damaged the new front door and sliding glass door, broke my doorbell and when I showed him the problems he stormed out of my house. The next day another team came and reinstalled the front door and made repairs to the storm door and sliding glass door. The damage to the front door and slider remained and the installation supervisor wanted to have their touch up person (who was coming out to paint the trim etc.) to try to repair. That did not work out, and eventually we agreed on a concession in price versus them installing new doors. Once the installation was done I had to stay on them with calls to get to the final point, approximately 3 months later. I cannot recommend them, their excuse was the first installer was new to them - in that case they should not have sent him out unsupervised.

"The 3 Stooges" reincarnated or "Dumb & Dumber". I should have regrouped when it took a 4th person & 4 visits to even get the Windows ordered. When they finally we reinstalled, the completely missed the original window that was the impetus to have this job done. Then to add insult to injury, there Accounting Department is inept. The Vice-President of finance, CURT, had the gall to try to collect $1460 that WE DID NOT OWE. I had dates of cc transactions.....he wanted ME to provide statements showing I paid. To top it off, he was incredibly arrogant and condescending. Got a letter today saying "apology for confusion" No phone call, No so sorry our mistake.

Chris Spacco came out and gave me an estimate. They ordered the windows and put them in withing 4 weeks. The best part of Pella is the trim- beautiful white trim inside and matching trim to our other windows outside. The quality is superior and the follow-up person does a great job filling the nail holes and painting them. Pella had the best service and always calls ahead when the windows will be delivered and when they are coming. They are on time and do an excellent job.
