Cake Decorating
THE PERSON AT THE BAKERY (MARY)WAS VERY HELPFUL IN HELPING TO DECORATE MY HUSBAND'S RETIREMENT CAKE. I ALREADY HAD THE DESIGN DRAWN OUT, BUT THIS HAD TO BE MATCHED UP TO THEIR CODES AND DECORATIONS. THE DESIGN WAS A BIT DIFFERENT, SO IT TOOK SOME TIME TO EXPLAIN. MARY WAS ABLE TO SEE THE BIG PICTURE FOR THE CAKE, WHICH PUT ME AT EASE. THE ONLY THING THAT DID NOT THRILL ME WAS THE PRICE FOR ADDING EXTRAS. THERE WAS A $5 UPCHARGE FOR EACH OF THE DESIGN SETS (ONE WAS COLTS, ANOTHER RACE CARS). THIS ADDED $10 TO THE PRICE OF THE CAKE! TURN AROUND WAS STATED TO BE 24 HOURS. I WOULD ADVISE GIVING AT LEAST 48 HOURS NOTICE. I HAVE A FEELING THIS WAS TREATED AS A RUSH CASE, RATHER THAN THE NORM. STILL, THE CAKE WAS READY WHEN PROMISED. THE FINAL PRODUCT WAS AMAZING! IT WAS EXACTLY WHAT I HAD HOPED IT WOULD BE. EVERYONE AT THE PARTY COMMENTED ON THE GREAT JOB MARY HAD DONE WITH THE CAKE.
