Great.

Eric quoted me a great price.  He showed me a catalog of styles and designs that he can do.  I ended up doing a modified version of what he had in the catalog.
He's done work for me in the past (sprinkler system) and has done patios in the neighborhood.
Crew works hard.  Eric does his best to make sure you are 100% satisfied.  Best value around.
I would use in again.

This was a very big project with considerable risk and quite complex.  A patio this size and the stone enhancements required careful measurements, drainage, etc.  Marquis is not a large company, but I had confidence in Eric's reliability and the price was outstanding.  As the project went on, I was impressed with the quality and attention to detail.  The excavation, limestone base, and careful grading/drainage demonstrated a high level of expertise. Like any major project, there were some delays and unexpected issues.  Each time, Eric went above and beyond to make sure we were satisfied and the job was done right.  
There are some limitations that you have to expect dealing with a small business.  The project took longer than originally discussed, mostly because the company is not large enough to overcome unexpected issues (like the excavation equipment breaking and having to wait for it to be repaired).  But the two most important things are quality/integrity and price.  Eric is outstanding in both those areas.  I felt that minor delays were a small price to pay for the value I received.
I would wholeheartedly recommend Marquis Landscaping and Irrigation for any outdoor living project.  We were able to get everything we wanted for a fraction of the cost, and we are thoroughly pleased.

I am leaving the original review because this was my thought at the time.  However, Eric has now disappeared for several months, came back and repaired a defect, then disappeared again and is not responding to calls.  Overall, the work was okay - if it were warranted, I would be satisfied.  But since he has disappeared and I am now taking care of the small issues myself and have no legitimate warranty, I can't recommend him.  Nice guy but very unreliable.

It went well.  The tree was a difficult job since it was a very old tree and the root system had begun to wrap around the house..... it affected the other work as well because the roots were so deep and numerous throughout the yard.  However, by the end of the job, I have a great looking sidewalk !  and front yard.

Eric has pulled his company off for now but told me that's what he would do. He said he would start over with a new name and I think he's done this before. That's most likely why this is under his moms name. I will be contacting Angie's List to report him so he can't get back on here under a new name. I wouldn't use Eric if he did the work for free. The work he did do(not even half and ran with the money) looked like a small child did it.

Eric and his crew did a great job.  4 zone sprinkler system with rain sensor.  Eric would come an any time to adjust and ensure it was working to what I thought I needed.  I took 1.5 weeks to fully complete.  But he's done some of my neighbors in a few days.  I had a few landscaping challenges he had to overcome but I'm satisfied with the result.  No more moving sprinklers around and forgetting they are on.

I am very, very impressed with this company.  I bought the full year service last year (the price is fantastic compared to almost everyone else in the irrigation business)   There was an error in their records and when Fall came, my house was missed in the winterization services.  The following Spring, my backflow valve had frozen and broken.   Marquis realized they had missed my house, and when they discovered the error, they came out and replaced the backflow valve without even being asked.  THAT is service that you don't get anymore.
I won't use anyone else from now on.

Great communication, service and installation. Eric called and set the date and time with me to do a review of my property and offered me various choices. Shared good recommendations with me too. Got the written quote while he was at my home and scheduled the installation.
Eric arrived at the scheduled date and time with his crew. The process took two days and Eric supervised everything. Took time more than once to review the installation and ask me some questions to see how I would like parts of the system to work.
Eric personally walked thru the entire system with me, trained me on the control panel and made excellent usage recommendations.
An excellent experience. In fact, we installed three of my neighbors too.
