AJ, the project specialist (marketing guy), was careful to give us as much information as possible up-front so that we'd know what to expect. He even met with the contractor and us together to make sure that we were all "on the same page," and he kept us up to date as the order progressed. The actual job is a different story, though. The pieces of siding don't match up well, so from some angles you can easily see the seams. The trim guy did a good job on the porch ceiling, and the trim is apparently as good as it can be, but it's pretty ugly where it had to be cut & folded to match the shape of the wood underneath, and the seams on the front porch posts are very visible. Even worse, the caulk at the seams doesn't match the trim color and looks really bad (they said this was the best match possible). Worst of all, the back storm door rubs against the trim when it opens & closes, and the rub marks are clearly visible. The sub-contractor had to take several trips back to our house to adjust the trim so that the door closes, and now we're left with a really ugly pile of silicone holding it in place. They also installed a new back door awning for us, but left out a screw, so one piece sticks out where it shouldn't. They were obliging and good to work with, even to the point of coming back multiple times after we signed off on the job, but it's taken a few months to get the worst of the problems taken care of, leaving some of the minor problems unresolved.

I called because my washing machine was broken and had water in it that I couldn't get out. I asked if they could still remove it for me even though it had water in it and they said they could and it would be no problem. They said they would come out between 2-4. They arrived at 10 AM and I wasn't ready for them, they didn't call to inform me that they would be early. When I asked about the time they lady said they come when they have openings not when they are scheduled. They got upset because they had to wait outside for about 20 minutes, if I new that they were going to be there at 10 I would have been ready. After they left I turned on my new washing machine and turned on the cold water but it came out hot. They put the hose on backwards. The lady was very rude and nasty about the entire experience. I told Lowe's I don't want her back out here and they said they only had the 2 delivery people. If that is the case I won't be ordering any new appliances from them in the future.

It was absolutely great experience. Everything went really well. There was someone in the store it is a kind of go through the process with that and fill out the paper work and then the person the contractor that they sent out to come install it was very professional. He explained everything to me, show that how it works, overall it was a very positive experience. I would recommend them to others. I most definitely use them in the future.

We purchased varied sizes of Reliabuilt Windows from Lowes. We did the measurements but we came to the window department to discuss what options we had for gridding and colors.
Luckily, we met with an associate named Robert. Robert is an excellent person all around. He's laid-back, funny, intelligent, and experienced with windows. He spent a good hour or two talking with us about our options and walking us through the window installation process. In the end, he helped us order 15 windows total. They all had grids, they were all vinyl, and all but 3 were single hung. 3 windows were special in the fact we had them ordered double hung with a wood clad on the interior of the window to match the wood work in our kitchen. Robert explained it would take a few weeks for Reliabuilt to build the windows and ship them.
We received the windows in the time frame promised and the Lowe's employees loaded them into our truck. Robert was there and he helped with loading, making sure everything was loaded properly. Transportation went smoothly and the windows were stored in an appropriate location.
We've been installing the windows at a good pace and we were really pleased with them. They were easy to install, they were exactly what we asked for, and they fit perfect. However, we have been finding windows with flaws. One of the double hung windows has one side of the casing that is slightly longer than the other side, causing the glass panes to sit crooked. We also have come across two single hung windows that have a crack in the vinyl casing near the top corners. We are finding these flaws as we are unwrapping them from their packaging and are in no way causing the damage ourselves.
When we discovered the first two flawed windows, we went back to Lowe's and Robert was there. He was genuinely concerned and ordered replacements with no question. When we found the third window with the crack, we came back to Lowe's on a Sunday and asked for them to order a replacement.
Not only did we get passed around from person to person, but all the people we dealt with were incredibly rude and accusing. The girl at the service desk accused us of breaking the window, and I explained it was shipped to us that way. We had simply unwrapped it and found the crack. She told us she couldn't help us and sent us back to the window area who had just sent us to her. We went back to the window area and stood in line to speak with a representative FOR AN HOUR. We waited a full hour standing there, wasting our day, just to talk to someone. When we finally did get to speak with this person, he too, accused of breaking the window. Again, I explained the situation and he just kept stating he has only had a problem with Reliabuilt once and this was "very odd". I explained that Robert didn't seem to find it very odd and was happy to order the replacement rather than argue with us.
He then said he would leave the order for Robert and "let him handle it". All I can say is this man was incredibly rude and lazy, as was the girl at the front customer desk. It seems to me that the night crew and the weekend crew are people that just don't want to be there and therefore just don't care. I could understand if I was trying to return a window with cracked glass or a hole through the glass, but it was clearly a manufacturing flaw and I stand to gain NOTHING from lying about these windows.
It's incredibly irritating because we have several other home projects that are waiting on these windows to be installed and cannot get started until this is done. So now we have to wait for these windows to be re-made and shipped and then re-install them. The sting from that could be lessened IF the employees were more cooperative. This store needs to give Robert a raise or a promotion or some recognition because he has been THE only helpful person here. Not even the window installer was as helpful as him.

**Update**

It is now 6/9/2014, approximately a month after ordering the replacement windows and we have yet to receive them. I have contacted Lowe's twice, spoke with two different window employees who stated they could not find the order in the computer and would need to do some research and call me back. I never received a call back from either so I have contacted the manager on duty, who also stated she needed to speak with someone else and would call me back by 3PM today. I'm really hoping they get these windows to us because we cannot start the replacement of our siding until they are installed.

We visited Lowe's on a Saturday night and spoke with the sales rep in the window department. The company was offering a special 12 month no interest with their credit card but only for a couple days. We told the rep we were very interested in having windows installed using the deal but since the following Monday was the last day for it, we were unsure if they could get out to give us an estimate in time.

The rep called the window sales person, AJ, and left him a message to contact us when he was available. We didn't get a call, so I ended up calling him on Monday morning. He was very professional and apologetic, explaining he was swamped from the financing deal, which I could understand completely. He explained he could actually extend the deal a few days and could be out Tuesday, to which we agreed.

He came out today very much on time and I appreciated his promptness. By the time I had arrived home from work, he had already taken measurements and spoke with my husband. It didn't seem like he gave him a lot of choice in windows or said much about there being different options. He brought a sample window inside and it was the one he was selling us.
The total estimate came to just under $7,000 which was honestly a lot more than I expected, but at the same time, this is my first time purchasing windows. We plan on gathering some other estimates and comparing these before we make a final decision. Overall, the experience was fine.

**UPDATE**

After getting some other estimates and getting a better understanding of windows in general and the options they offer, we called AJ back and requested an estimate for single hung windows throughout the house with the exception of the kitchen windows. He said he would get back to us but alas, he never did.

The customer service is always excellent, although at times through the week associates are not always readily available. Everyone is always very friendly and helpful. They offered alternatives when they didn't have a larger size, and they were very helpful with additional items that I needed but didn't know exactly what to get. This is definitely my go-to hardware/home improvement store!

The people here recognize us and have been very helpful.They have a good selection of product. My only complaint is the later shift team as they seem to be the teenagers and part-time employees that obviously don't want to be there. I understand, so I give them the benefit of the doubt, but the morning and day shift employees really make up for it.

Lowe's is my go to store. On the weekends, there is always someone around to ask for help if needed. They are very knowledgable about the location of the products in the store as well as the products themselve. They are able to give advice on specific issues or projects that I may have and are extremely helpful. I would like to see more staff around through the week, though.

We certainly will not be returning to this Lowes! What a miserable experience! We walked in the door and immediately wanted to sign up to get a Lowe's credit card so we could get the 5% off. We were sent to the wrong counter by the guy standing at the door. Luckily, they still went ahead and signed us up. Then we went to pick out all our items and put them on Pick Up Later. They didn't have a scanner for us to use, so we tried using their mobile app, but couldn't get it to work and nobody in the store knew how to help us with it. So all item numbers had to written down by hand on a sheet of paper (which was several items, since we were gutting our bathroom down to the studs). We had to hunt down someone to help us keep track of all this (got bounced around before finally settling on someone from the plumbing department). He followed us around and wrote down all the item numbers. We picked out a specific shower set and matching faucet. Even though the shower set was still on display, they couldn't figure out why they didn't have it in stock. They directed us to a different location that supposedly had 2 in stock. We drove all the way down there just to be informed that it had been recalled and we couldn't buy it. Why didn't they know this at the first store?! Then, when it came time for our contractor to pick up our tub, they had a right hand tub ready for him, even though we had specified (and double checked) that we needed a left hand. They didn't have a left hand in stock and so sent our contractor on ANOTHER wild goose chase to find the tub at a different location, wasting even more time (our contractor is being paid a flat labor rate for completion of the job, so I know he would not dilly dally, as to him, time is money). Our contractor is there again today trying to pick up the rest of our items, and still hasn't returned...I'm leery that there is likely another SNAFU.
We will not be returning when it comes time to remodel our kitchen, that's for sure. And now we're stuck with a credit card we won't ever use again.
