They wash your car every time you come in!  If I'm low on fluids they will take care of that for free.  One of my favorite parts of the experience is that they always greet you with pastries and refreshments, what a nice asset to the company.

I took my car in because the transmission was not functioning properly. I told them of the problem and all they did was change the transmission fluid. No other diagnostic or examination was performed. The car performed fine for a week, but then the transmission failed again and it was discovered by another mechanic that, in fact, the transmission needed to be replaced. The fluid change did absolutely nothing to solve my problem.

UPDATE: I shared my concern with Lockhart's management and they issued a full refund and apologized for the inconvenience. I appreciated their understanding and willingness to work with me, In no way do I believe that their service caused my problem. Rather, it acted as a band aid for about a week. My review has been amended to reflect their management's customer service efforts (Responsiveness and Professionalism) but should still be indicative of my lack of satisfaction with their service department (Price and Quality).

I do not recommend anyone use Lockhart Automotive.  Overall, I spent about $1,500 for repairs but nothing really changed with the performance of my car.  I feel they are not competent to repair GM vehicles. The first time I stopped in for service on this issue, Lockhart said I needed to fix my fuel pressure for a total of $1,031.  A couple days after I spent the $1,031, the check engine light came on again and the same periodic stalling still occurred.  The second time I stopped in Lockhart told me the crank shaft sensor in the car needed servicing for $482.  I had them complete this second repair but the check engine light came on again and the periodic stall outs still occurred.  If anything, I found just putting in a gasoline additive seems to have done more than anything else to improve the stalling. When Lockhart called me after the second service as a follow call, I explained the issues were still occurring but they only apologized rather than offering to make things right with me. I do not recommend this dealership to others.

Failed to address "shop fee" and was defensive in answering questions about it. Openly complained about my questions with another employee within earshot. Will not do business there and recommend same.

They tried to be helpful but I really don't think they knew what they were doing. After I purchased it the windshield washer spray didn't work and the bumper fell off and was being held together by duct tape. They did a fix a mirror that we did see damaged. They claimed there was a 144 point inspection for all cars and don't feel that they did that really happened.

belt snapped about a mile away and was closest shop I could get to. Was about 9 pm so it was closed. Called the next day (SAT) and they said they wouldn't look at it until Monday, which was a pain since I was heading out of town when it broke. Upsold, like most auto service places will, from 150 to around 550 but car is running better. Were friendly. I checked out via telephone so when I got there they couldn't find my paperwork for 15 minutes so was late to something but it was all in all positive experience.

They were very professional and friendly. They were helpful, upfront, and trustworthy in their dealings with us. Overall I was pleased with them. I just had the product I wanted and I just enjoyed dealing with them and the whole process of negotiating and then finally coming to an agreement. The follow up after that was thorough and it was satisfying.

They are professional, extraordinary and friendly. You must almost feel like you are walking into family. They really take the extra time to get things right. I have never walked out with my car not being in good condition. I would absolutely use them again.

We've been very pleased with them! They're very thorough. They also give us options. We never feel like they try to gouge us and they always try to match competitor's prices. They've been great!

I was questioning a
line item on the estimate that was "shop fees" and the person doing the
estimate wouldn't tell me what it was--only that I had to pay it. When I
pressed further, he became confrontational. It was uncomfortable, he
just continued to pressure me to sign the estimate regardless of the
fact that I still had questions about that line item--continuing to point out how many years he's been doing this (doing what?...not handling customer's questions very well?). The cherry on top
was when he went over to another employee to complain about me openly
when I was still standing in the bay. To say that I wouldn't go back is an understatement. GM dealers already have a reputation of under-serving/over-pricing and having an attitude about it. This experience just made that worse. I suppose if you went in and signed whatever they wanted and wrote them a blank check, everything would be fine. Note--I notice another review in here also complaining about the unexplained "shop fees". And by the way, I ended up taking this to another GM dealer on the north side who didn't charge "shop fees" and completed the work just fine.

When Saturn closed, I was reticent to use a Cadillac dealer for my lowly Saturn. The transmission quit, and I remembered that the 2004s had a problem that they would fix. Unfortunately the time for fixing was well passed because I am old and work at home on the computer, and my six year old car only had 18K miles on it. Mike at Lockhart helped me get a new transmission because of the low mileage for just $500.
They worked with me 100%, and I never felt like I was a second-class citizen. I have told all the Saturn owners that they are can go to Lockhart at Keystone with confidence. I just started recently on Angie's list and wanted to tell this story. I really can't remember the exact date.

They have a good collision service. The repair shop is very good. They provide outstanding service. They are very pleasant, reasonable, and have a fair price. They have good quality employees. I wouldn't go anywhere else for service or body work.

I recently purchased my 3rd Hummer from Tom Knoll at Lockhart on the Southside. I have also been to the Keystone Store on many occasions for service. All three of my purchases with him were smooth and utterly enjoyable. He is honest, responsive and fair. I cannot say enough good things about him. I highly encourage anyone considering the purchase of a new or used Cadillac or any other car or truck you might be searching for to talk to him first. His finance guys beat my credit union and were faster too!I found Lockhart to be great on the service end as well. I had a different brand of car for the past two years and could not wait to get rid of it! The service department was horrible and the car worse. I couldn't wait to get back to Lockhart where I get treated like I matter. If you visit the Keystone Service department-Daryl is wonderful! I also have had occasion to meet one or two of theLockharts during my visits and they are great to do business with as well. I will never shop any where else!

Barb Nowicki is the servcie advisor I use and she is great. She even followed up this week to be sure my car was running ok as I had to take it back due to a repair not being done properly. They also have a service that will drive you home when you leave your car and will come back and pick up when car is complete. She was good at keeping me informed of progress, why the expense was needed and how long she thought they would need to keep my car. I* did have to take it back for same repair a second time, however, they took care of it at no charge to me. I have no complaints with this company. They took fine care of me within the realms they had to work with. I would take my car back when need be. I would also refer others to work with Barb in particular. She is a class act.

The insurance appraiser suggested Lockhart Cadillac given its proximity to our house. Lockhart was quick to tow the car to their dealership and haven't been quick about anything else. The original estimate called for replacement of the oil pan and basic structural repairs of the undercarriage totalling $500. Upon examination of the car they requested approval for an additional $1300 in work to replace parts of the transmission that had been cracked (in addition to original insurance estimate of damages) which was granted by the insurance company. In the 2 weeks that the car has been at the dealership I have left multiple messages trying to find out the status of the repairs on my car and only once was a message actually returned. Not one has proactively picked up the phone to let me know what is going on. I still do not have my car back and have been unable to talk to someone who actually knows what work is required and in what timeframe the work will be done. This has been a most frustrating experience and I don't know when it will be over as I still do not have my car back.

The appointment was made on the date and time I wanted. They were ready for me at the appointment time and provided the services that I wanted at a reasonable price. They also provided me with an inspection report that gave me the overall condition of my car and provided estimates on future needs. The people were fery friendly and profesonal.

Oil change went well. Cost: $46. They ran an electrical system test (Alternater output, starter draw, and battery) to tell me my battery needs replaced; cost $44 for test; and quoted me somewhere over $100 for a new battery (which I declined). I think I could have gotten electrical test done for free at Auto Zone, but what can you do once you're stuck at the dealer? Ditto for the "shop supplies/misc. charges" - about $22 on this bill. For the TPMS, they got the cap off of one; and had to replace the other one (with the part that I supplied). Charge for this was $96! When I questioned why so high; I was told that they also had to re-program the TPMS. This basicly involves using a high-powered magnet placed near the valve stem on the tire; or using their TPMS tool to re-set the computer chip. Little labor is involved. In review, services performed were: change oil/filter; test electrical system; and change valve stem on one tire (with a part that I supplied); take a valve cap off another tire; and re-set the computer chip for the TPMS. Total bill: $200+ WOW.

I had a peculair rusting taking place on the center pieces of my four tires. Larry Kramer came right out from the tire department and immediately ordered four new center pieces and discounted the price by 50%. He had the parts in three days and arranged for the parts department to install them. My wait was only ten minutes and my price was reduced so I had a good experience. Thanks for your attention Larry.
