I am done with this company after my latest experience. The day my driveway was sealed, I noticed about a dozen smashed crabapples UNDER the sealant. After they came back out and a few follow-up calls with no resolution, I talked to the person who performed the work was told I was lying and actually smashed the apples into the sealant with my car (even though I have pics of tar covered apples from the day of the job – see my Facebook review). They offered to come out again (third trip) and look at it with me there, but I had no interest in getting into the same argument in person. I paid my bill for what I consider a sloppy and incomplete job, will not be using them again, and am leaving this review as a warning to others.

Lewis Sealing did an Awesome job! The crew was very professional, neat. and prompt. They followed up after the job was done last April 2018. Everyone from the beginning to finish was polite and courteous. We were very happy and impressed that they followed up again this February. We recently moved to a new home and we are scheduled again to do our new driveway. We look forward to our driveway being sealed again! We have and would recommend Lewis Sealing to others.

They always do a great job and the driveway looks great if not brand new. They have been extremely flexible with us as we changed our appointment several times. They remind us when it is time to redo it. I wouldn't use anyone else.

They didn't do a good job on the work. There were puddles of sealant, as well as squeegee lines through the seals, and they also sealed over leaves and sticks that they failed to clean off before starting the work. They were supposed to come back out today to fix the work. I pointed out some cracks and the squeegee lines, he told me that "I was being too picky." I then said I don't know if we are going to be able to get along if your saying this. He said so you don't want me to do the driveway, I said not within that attitude. He then began to approach me in a very threatening manner until I put my hand up to stop him. He then left saying he was going to put a lean on my property and said he was going to tie me up in court. 15 minutes later a sheriff pulled up, saying that he is charging me for battery for putting my hand up to stop him from approaching me. The cop said he is willing to drop the charges if I pay him for the work. I now have to pay a lawyer to settle this dispute.
Response from Lewis Sealing & Cleaning
"We have about four to five customers a year like this. The crew was heading to this driveway for a FREE redo, and when we got there, we failed to see where there were leaves, and sticks. He had said that he blew it off beforehand, after looking for the error, he went onto white lines that were already blending in with his driveway. We went back a week after sealing it the first time. When you seal a driveway, it takes two weeks for the white and grey in color lines to disappear, especially if the driveway is shaded. Sealer needs sunlight to cure, and their driveway was shaded by trees. After the customer could not find the white lines, he was talking about, he went to another area, where the sealer did not roll out right. We went over to where he was talking about, and that is when we told him he was 'too picky'. The customer then, got very upset, and did not just put a hand up to stop the employee, he shoved the employee with both hands. We tried our best to help the customer as much as we could. We do the best we can. We have pictures to prove that there was nothing wrong with the driveway. Thank you, Lewis Sealing & Cleaning"

The driveway part of it is okay; but they put down this rubber stuff to patch the cracks and now the rubber stuff gets all soft andsquishy when it's warm out so if you step on it you get back stuff all over your shoes. Additionally there is a big swirl mess of this rubber mixture where there weren't any cracks to being with. Just very unsightly!
Response from Lewis Sealing & Cleaning
"the crack filling is the rubberized stuff you are talking about. it will get a little sticky when the weather gets hot. just step over. it never gets on anything"

They gave us the cheapest price, but we expected a good job.  We got quotes from different vendors, selecting mainly by Angie's List references.  Although the price was cheap, buyer beware.  They just came in and did a light cleaning, and smeared the black glop around.  No sealing of the cracks at all.  We called to complain, and they said they'd come look at it, but we've not heard from them at all.

They got tar all over my house and on my door.  They came out and kept saying they'd come out and take care of it but they never did.  I've called them dozens of times and they've never responded or come back.  We've tried to clean it up the best we could.  The few times I did get a response they said they would send someone but no one ever came.
Response from Lewis Sealing & Cleaning
"we did this job on 6/2014 and the job was fixed in 8/2014 because of other jobs and all the rain. it is not tar it's crack filler. when it get hot or humid is does get a little sticky but does not pull up. sorry for any inconvenice to our customers thanks lewis sealing"

I've used Lewis for several years.  They scheduled the appointment on my first call.  They had the truck break-down during the day and promptly called me to reschedule later the same week.  They apologized and were very accomodating, prioritizing my work ahead of others on the rescheduled date.

I have used Lewis Sealcoating for several years.  They do a great job.  They address any problem areas and fix them.  They show up when scheduled, do a great job and leave no mess all at a very fair price.  I will continue to use them.

For the price and specialized sealing company I expected much more than what I received.  The driveway was only sealed.  Company saw pics before hand and noted the drive is getting old and needed care.  I pointed that out.  No cracks were filled that I can see or spots fixed.  Nothing done but a seal, which for my drive at this point lasts a year.  I have had that done and had cracks sealed for half this price on my drive.  The sealing job does look good but I marked down the quality due to that was the only thing done and obviously more was needed. I don't think it was a very complete job at all, but a way overpriced sealing. I don't recommend this company due to that their prices are very inflated.

I called them to seal my driveway and they came out in 48 hours exactly when they said they would. They did a good job with the exception of leaving some blobs of asphalt which will take a longer times to dry.

Looks pretty good considering what it had looked like.  I have only one complaint and that is the very smallest of cracks weren't really covered.  When they advertise they will fill all major cracks, not really true.  They didn't attempt to fill in any of the cracks only what was spread and hoped it would fill in and it doesn't work that way.

Some places are pitted; I have never had this problem before and they have done work for me in the past. Maybe it is due to the extreme winter?
