"Unfortunately, many parts of this review are inaccurate. 1) LD Smith can not control what a home warranty does, and does not cover. The homeowner was given a full explanation before the work began. Not only did she authorize the work after a clear explanation of the charges was given, but gave no signs of concern once Kevin was complete and even signed our invoice that she was happy with the work performed. 2) Both the front office staff (Jennifer and Crystal) and the owner Lance have been in constant contact with the homeowner since her concerns were brought to our attention. LD Smith Plumbing has a long record of responding to any and all customer concerns. I was unable to have a "professional conversation" with the customer as she repeatedly raised her voice and became hostile despite my numerous attempts to explain the charges and try to alleviate her concerns. "We are sorry to hear about your sewer problems and that you felt you didn't receive good service. Unfortunately, many parts of your experience are not accurate. Please see just a few of those below. If you would like submit a truthful review, we would be more than happy to discuss a possible better solution or why you felt LD Smith misrepresented your problem. 1) You were never told the line was "clear" and it clearly states this in the invoice from the first visit. In fact, it was strongly recommended (by our plumber Shawn) you install a full sized clean out in the yard to properly clean the roots out, which you declined. 2)You claim that the second plumber out (Joe), told you that you needed to leave the home and that you needed a new sewer line. This is also not true. Our staff would never tell someone they needed to leave their own home-this is obviously up to the homeowner if they are without service. 3) No where in the invoice, or when we were in your home, did we ever state that you "needed a new sewer line." We simply provided you with options. As a matter of fact, when Joe tried to show you the problem with your 80 year old sewer line with the camera, you quickly became agitated and wouldn't let him finish his explanation of your issues. 4) You were never provided an estimate for $15,000 for a new sewer line. You were provided with two separate estimates to provide you options. A) An outside clean out option, and B) A whole new line replacement. Those totaled together equal approximately $15,000, but no single estimate we provided totals that amount. We provide options because many homeowners with aged and deteriorated sewer lines like options of repairing versus replacing. 5) We are glad to hear the another contractor was able to temporarily get you punched open. "The model you previously had is vastly different than the new model, and we provided you with the best solution for your set up. Your comment about our plumber saying "I can stop right now! I have to feed my family" is simply not true, as I interviewed other staff that were on sight to verify this. You did have the audacity to ask my employees how much they make after being quoted the price, which I felt was extremely rude, but you didn't want to put that in your review. I apologize for what you felt was sloppy work. Obviously, since you weren't happy with our first plumber, we sent out a different one right away to rectify the situation."

We certainly were not "price gouging," and you were quoted the price up front, at which time you authorized the repair. Also, our technician was on site for 4.5 hours, not the 3 hours that you are claiming. With that being said, we did realize afterwards that there was a misunderstanding regarding the pricing, which we promptly addressed, however your review does not address that either."
