It went fine.  The tech was polite and did his job very efficiently.  He did our yearly cleaning and furnace check and was able to tell us it looked in really good shape.

Koehring and sons. Had a new HVCA unit installed in spring of 2010. Had swimming installed in fall of 2010. Needed to have outside unit moved to different location due to pool installation. The original installers wanted to put the unit in the garage until they could get to it. This was not acceptable. We called Kohering and sons, received a quote and proceeded forward. No problems no complaints.

They did a really good job.  They were on time.  For the AC part, they were pretty knowledgeable.  They had to take a line out and put it back in to put the coil in.  I actually ended up asking another heating company to fix it right.  They weren't knowledgeable about the other part of the work.

Koehring  did an excellent job. They gave me a 30 minute notice of their arrival, as I had requested. The cleaning and check of our furnace was completed in a timely manner. I would recommend this company to anyone looking for the services they render. When I need my furnace or air conditioner serviced again,  I will call Koehring.

We have a heat pump/gas furnace and so we use Koehring & Sons Inc. to maintain and service the same. They are certified for thermos especially. I like their services and will use the same in future.

Tech was on time and showed up the same day I called, which was very nice. I also appreciated that they are located in Fountain Square, as I am also. The lady on the phone with whom I spoke with was friendly and courteous, and so was the tech that showed up at my house to help diagnose the problem with my AC. The tech discovered that my unit was very low on freon, and, in his own words, he "overcharged" it, so that red (high pressure) gauge read 400 while the blue (compound/lo pressure) gauge was reading 90, the necessity of which he attributed to the incredibly high temperature of my home's 3rd floor (98 degrees), which this unit was servicing. It worked, and the temp started dropping rapidly as the unit moved the heat out of the 3rd floor. The next day (and to this day) the unit started making this awful vibration sound in the room the unit is located, as well as from the outside unit itself. I have no idea (and no way to know for sure) whether this was a result of the actions of the tech or not (and I cannot emphasize that enough), however this problem was not present prior to that day... I was later informed by an employee in their brick & mortar office that it was not possible for my unit to be out of Freon unless it had a leak. If that is true, then it seems to me their tech should have known that and informed me of that issue, but whether she was correct in that assessment or not, I do not know. After he was done, I asked him if they took American Express, to which he replied in the affirmative. He took an imprint of my card and was on his way. A couple of days later I received a letter stating that my "Master Card" was not accepted... :cue heavy sigh: Apparently the tech was mistaken and they in fact did NOT accept AmEx (which they do not). Overall, a middle of the road experience. They made it possible to use my 3rd floor office again, and I am grateful for that. However, now that I know that they do not take American Express, I won't be calling them again.

Koehring & Sons is not a large company. I am more comfortable with them because I originally bought my air conditioner and furnace from them. They were very professional. When they initially came in to give me the quote, they didn?t underestimate my understanding because I was a woman. The heating company I had used earlier treated me that way and I walked away from them because of that. Koehring & Sons is really good. You can call them during any time of the day. They will try to help you on the phone, so that you don?t have to pay them for a late night call. They will ask you to check the necessary things on the call itself, if you are able to do it. They will come out next day and work on the problem. So, they will help you save money on the emergency problem. They have worked with me on the financials as well. You don?t have to pay them the very day you get their bill. They don?t always have the price list with them, depending on the work they do, but I am comfortable with that. They have always been very good with setting up appointments and they also send out reminders to you. I have not had any problems with them. I have been using them for at least 14 years now.

I called them to give me a third estimate on the job. They came in about $100 higher, but I felt uncomfortable with the low bid contractor (he was a really big talker) and went with them instead. I talked with the estimator on the phone and felt much more comfortable dealing with him. I called them to tell them I wanted them to do the job Monday and since our a/c was out, he made sure the job got done on Wednesday. It was all done between about 10 am and 5 pm. Everything was cleared out and done by the time I got home from work.

They came out and fixed the furnace the same day I contacted them. For the damper job, Wayne came out and inspected my duct work and told me there would be no space for a damper. But he explained to me how to control the air flow with a piece of metal myself. He actually built a perfectly fitting piece of metal which I could use to block the air and delivered it the same day-free of charge! My highest recommendations!

First, he came to replace the filter and then found that we needed some more work on the flue and the chimney. Kyle didn't hesitate to replace the vent cap that had been damaged in a tornado. I wish we had done that a lot sooner. Someone had discovered this problem a year earlier, but I didn't think to ask him to fix it. I would recommend this company to others.

They usually have emergency service, but the night that we called they had a convention that they were attending. They showed up right away in the morning and got the unit fixed. We had this company install the units nine years ago and will continue to use them.

Steve came out. Took a while to get it to make the sound again. He figured it out. He really did a good job. He was very nice and very accommodating and really tried hard to figure out the cause, which was kind of tricky.

They've been doing all of my heating and cooling work for years. Whenever we have had any problems they have handled it in a proper manner. The only problems we've had have been about what is and isn't covered by our warranty, not with their workmanship.

They installed a water heater. When they came out to install it, the service rep said he didn't know if he could do it. It isn't something they normally do. I just wish they would've told me they wouldn't do it. They did an awful job. The lid rusted and they wouldn't fix it.

The installation was done a few years ago. They should've suggested a few things that they missed. Both times the service man came he did things that shouldn't have been done and didn't seem knowledgeable to me. Fortunately, I've been able to fix their mistakes on my own.

MARTY WAS VERY COURTEOUS AND HELPFUL. THE UNIT HADN'T BEEN SERVICED FOR SEVERAL YEARS, AND HE ASSURED ME THAT IT WAS IN GOOD CONDITION, AND ONLY NEEDED MINOR SERVICING. (EARLIER THIS YEAR, I HAD SOMEONE ELSE SERVICE MY A/C, AND WHEN I OPTED NOT TO SIGN UP TO HAVE THE FURNACE SERVICED AS WELL, THE TECHNICIAN INSISTED THAT IT WAS UNSAFE TO USE AND A FIRE HAZARD). IT'S REALLY NICE TO FIND A BUSINESS THAT'S HONEST AND ONE I CAN TRUST. THEY DO GOOD WORK TOO!
