He gave us the impression that it was his companies and only his employees that would do the work. He subcontracted all of the work and there was no supervision. There are leaks in our roof and the flashing on our chimney, as well as our gutters, were installed incorrectly. They have come out on multiple different occasions to fix the problems, but it has still not been fixed. He paid the deposit for our new awning to be put up. He is now disputing the charges in order to get that money back. That was insurance money we gave to him to pay for it. He was also given deposit money for jobs that were never complete, let alone ordered. His own employee has since quit due to his lying. We have just been put through the wringer by this man.

"Thanks for your comment we did our job and never got a opportunity to be finish and you paid what we completed in order to finish other job have to be paid by costumer and they fire us without any chance to finish we have a good record with our costumer and never fell like that we are very sorry but we try to finish our Job and never let us after a few time the Chago and [member name removed] we spoke by phone and is an insurance work yes and they kept $ 14,000 in there hand and that's is totally not right because they can't keep insurance money also we try to go to there home and they told us NO put a feet in there property and also said they hire other company to check the roof I told then our warranty is cancel because other contractor went and give he's opinion we told the costumer the we can send our inspector from Ownes Corning to look it to see if the roof is not install property and they never listen so we try thanks again. Jose and his crew came in day of the job, laid down tarps around the house and garage to prevent the tear down from going on the lawn and shrubs, They did a great job cleaning up as they went. They put in ridge vents on the house and side vents on the garage. Also replaced decking boards where needed. It was an extremely hot day, they kept going and completed the job on the same day. We liked the quality and workmanship of Chago Construction that we are having future work done on the house and garage (gutters and siding). We are very pleased with the work that has been completed, we look forward to future projects with Jose and the Chago team!

Chago Construction arrived on time, early in the morning with a large crew that immediately started tearing off the shingles and prepping for the new roof. They worked diligently and finished the roof by the end of the day. They cleaned up as they went and picked up even the smallest pieces of scrap, right down to cleaning up the flower beds and yard of nails and pieces of shingles.

A guy named Chago with his staff came out to our house and put the roof on. I told them that I had a chimney leak and he said don't worry about. Then a guy named Gus who supervising go out his place and he said everything was right. Then there's something that got wrong so I asked them to come back. The first time he comes down and the owner of the company came with him to see what he have done then Gus comes back to check after a week to check on it and it's pitiful so I have him back again. They came back with a few extra guys come back a few days later Gus did and it's still not right. Then finally Gus with the big boss man come with him and he stayed here and made him do it right. So that's something that piss me off. They claimed that my house had a 5 inch roof but we have 6 inch. They said we only guarantee a 5 inch roof for 6 months and 6 inch would guarantee. So anyway just things start leaking around my chimney because it started raining. So my son had to some work for him and he's having trouble also roofing leak till they come down and worked on it then it start leaking all over. He tried to get out of this guarantee and now the guarantee have run out. They really been hardly had the job finished. I would never ever recommend them, use them or anything. They came out three times and still the roof still leaks around the chimney. The employees there are all very cooperative and would try to do what he asked them to do. I think the problem was maybe in like in some of the parts of what they were doing.

"Thanks for the report but we did what is right for you guys in not a 6/12 pitch roof is only a 3/12 pitch roof and by insurance report that why we give only 6 months warranty on the roof because you have to used a material call rubber is not our company to fail any installation is your builder they put a shingle and a roof they need a flat roof (rubber) we told you what is going on and that why you have issues and beside of that Gus went few week ago and check you chimney and is loosing a lot of concrect, missing brick and that why you have a lot of water leak but respectfully we disagree your comments but that's why we have a lot report with a lot of (A) because we do what we need to be done and right. At 0700 hrs a Chago crew showed up to replace our roof. They were very quiet and professional in their set-up. My wife and I were amazed to wake up to a trailer for old materilas in our drive, and our house completely surrounded by tarps. That to us showed that as a company they cared about our property and we were very pleased. Fernando the crew supervisor introduced himself to us and along with Jose explained what was going to happen. All we can say is that it did. The roof was stripped, felt laid and the next thing we knew shingles were going on. To our complete suprise the shingles being utilized were even better than quoted. We were supposed to have a 30 year warranty shingle and ended up with a 35 year shingle. The next thing we knew we had a beutiful new roof that looks great. They even repaired a rafter for us.
Cleanup was amazing, by late afternoon you would not have known they had even been there. What a fantasticexperience we had.
As far as the owner is concerned I do not believe you could find a more Christian gentleman,or amore honest man.Our hats are off to this company and we thank them and would recommend them to anyone.

Chago construction responded to my phone call (based on neighbor's yard sign) within minutes. In fact, the owner Jose met with me within an hour to discuss hail damage. Jose pointed out damage to roof, screens and gutters and advised me to have an insurance claims adjuster look at my issues.
The adjuster agreed with Chago that considerable hail damage had occurred and then settled for full replacement. Chago Construction handled the meeting with the home owners association to assure the correct roofing color would be approved. Then he handled the gutter contractor, while providing all other services.
The roofing team showed up at 7 AM and by the end of the day, the roof had been stripped and totally replaced with heavy felt and 30 year dimensional shingles----higher quality than I had before. The yard and flower beds were swept clean of all debris and nails. I was very impressed.
Chago also replaced the deck screens and re-stained the deck. I am very satisfied with quality, professionalism and friendliness of the sales team and workers. Do consider calling Jose Chago for your roofing and exterior home repairs. You will be pleased with the price and the quality.

We're not just comfortable with them so we chose another roofing company as supposed to them. I guessed they kind of self-promoted themselves because they said that this area was hit hard and they were just going house to house and I guess they came to us and when someone comes to you, you kind of check them out because you don;'t know if someone is chasing the ambulance or if they are really trying to do a good job in the area but we did feel a lot of people have their signs in their yards, so we kind of considering them and that was the first inquiry. The only reason we didn't go with them, they had not worked with the products that we wanted and another company did. When you have a material and you have a roof as large as our house was, you don't want any mistakes to be made and they had never worked with that product and the other company had never worked with that either but they had glade slate and since they had that experience we felt comfortable to go to them. They just came and followed up but they never did any service for us. I don't know if I would use them again because we're happy with the one that we chose over them.

Everything went fine with Chago Construction. They did what they promised and stood by what they said. I was slightly unsatisfied with something and they went out of their way to do it to my satisfaction. I was a little picky about one thing and they had to re-do quite a bit and they didn't complain. They made it right and it was really a fault of theirs or anything.

My awnings are falling off. One has fallen down so far that I'm almost knocking my head off. I talked to this gentleman last night about coming out to finish the work.

"Thank you for your comments we do appreciate your feedback. We acknowledge issues did come up during the winter which never should have happened. We received word concerning the problems after the blizzard came through right after Christmas 2012. We sent a crew out to fix the problem but due to the snow we could not complete the work. We waited until the snow melted and the temperatures rose to above 30 degrees. There was hail and wind damage to the roof. I arranged for Chaco to meet with my mother, they stopped to talk with her first and I was concerned. I emailed the company to validate the legitimacy of the representative, the owner responded to my email very promptly, was very understanding of our concern, and very quickly verified his employee and reassured us. They were extremely nice. The crew was at time challenging to communicate with; however, the main contact or site manager worked very well with us. One minor area of concern was the crew was dropping the bundles of shingles on the roof and it was causing some of the plaster to crack or drop. It's a very old house and we seemed to learn some of the plaster might be a bit fragile. The site manager/rep was quick to reassure us any damage that his crew did would be repaired. The vent pipe for the water heater was knocked loose and they came back and fixed it very nicely. They were very good to work with.
