"I do not understand the reason for such a negative response, I require a 50% deposit to cover any materials and to reserve scheduling. The other 50% is paid in draws or upon completion. If the work is so bad why did I get paid in full? I even helped the member move his furniture around after job was completed to help him out after he asked me. They were happy with the project. This job was done well over a year ago and there may be settling that has occurred. I was never notified of any unhappiness. Sand was left over for customer to sweep into joints to keep pavers tight after rain/snow packs the initial layer down. I offered to come back and sweep in for a service charge but he said he could take care of it. If there is ever a problem with a job I do follow up with a resolution to any problem with my work. I have too many customers to count that have been pleased with my work and will be more than happy to provide references. Please check out all of my reports before taking this members unkind words about me and my work to heart and affect your decision to hire me.I am not perfect but I do try to please every customer that I have the privilege working for. "WHERE DO I START?THIS CUSTOMER IS ONE OF THE PICKIEST AND MOST DIFFICULT CUSTOMERS I HAVE EVER WORKED FOR IN MY 10 YEARS IN BUSINESS. I LIVE IN WEST INDY AND THEY LIVE EAST OF SHELBYVILLE. SEVERAL SAMPLES WERE BROUGHT OUT TO THEIR HOME ON TWO OCCASIONS FOR APPROVAL OF WHICH BRICK TO USE. THAT IS THE REASON FOR THE DELAY IN STARTING. THE ENTIRE PROJECT WAS COMPLETED EXCEPT FOR THE SPECIAL ORDER CAPS THAT I COULD NOT BUY BECAUSE THE DEPOSIT WAS FOR THE MATERIALS AND 1 WEEKS PAYROLL. WITH THREE CHIMNEYS 40' IN THE AIR AND 12 FEET FROM THE ROOF LINE IT TAKES TIME AND TIME IS MONEY THAT I NEEDED FOR PAYROLL. WHEN I ASKED FOR A DRAW TO COVER THE 3 CAPS AND 2 WEEKS PAYROLL I WAS INFORMED THEY HAD NOT RECEIVED MONEY FROM INSURANCE CO. THEREFORE HINDERING MY ABILITY TO FINISH BY PURCHASING CAPS AND HE FIRED ME FROM PUTTING ON 3 METAL CAPS WITH 18 SCREWS TOTAL AND KEPT ALMOST 25% OF MY 95% COMPLETED JOB. I GOT A CALL FROM THE ROOFER AND HE IS GOING THROUGH THE SAME THING WITH THIS CUSTOMER AS WELL THROUGH BBB. I HAVE PICTURES OF THE CHIMNEYS AND I AM PROUD OF THE FOUR GUYS' QUALITY THAT HELPED ME ON THIS PROJECT,I DID LAY BRICK ON THE CHIMNEYS AND SET THE 500 LB STONE CAPS WITH THE GUYS HELPING ME. I WAS EVEN ON THE ROOF WHEN THE HUSBAND ALMOST FELL OFF AND PUSHED OUT THE FRESH BRICK ON THE CHIMNEY BY CATCHING HIMSELF.I HAVE NOT BEEN ON HERE FOR A WHILE TO CHECK REPORTS BUT I WOULD LIKE TO SUBMIT AN "F" REPORT TO THIS CUSTOMER AND NEXT TIME TO PREVENT FINISHING YOUR OWN PROJECT HAVE ALL THE MONEY PROPOSED BEFORE ENGAGING."
"WHAT HE DOESN'T SAY IN REPORT THAT I WAS LEADING INTO HIS ALREADY STARTED PROJECT THAT IN SOME AREAS WAS IMPROVISED AND HAD NO CHOICES(THE LARGE JOINTS). AS FAR AS THE MEETING IN THE MIDDLE AND NEEDING TO CUT IN THE CENTER. THAT WAS NOT ACCEPTABLE TO ME AND WAS COMING OUT ANYWAY. I WAS DEALING WITH AN OUT OF SQUARE PORTION OF THE PATIO AND I TOLD HIM THAT SO WE KEPT ONE SIDE EXTREMELY TIGHT AND THE OTHER SIDE A LITTLE ABOVE AVERAGE TO COMPENSATE TO ELIMINATE HAVING TO CUT BRICK TOWARD LEFT SIDE. I WAS PLEASED WITH THE FINAL PRODUCT AND WOULD GLADLY BRING FUTURE CUSTOMERS TO SHOW. HE DID NOT WANT TO PAY FOR THE WASH AND WAS GOING TO DO THAT HIMSELF. AS FAR AS THE FEW BRICKS LOWER THAN THE OTHERS THERE WAS ABOUT 1000 SQ FT AND IF I HAD SEEN THEM I WOULD HAVE FIXED THEM TO HIS SATISFACTION. HE IS A NICE MAN AND I AM SORRY HE FELT THIS WAY BUT I CAN ONLY DO WHAT THE MATERIALS LET ME DO. I WOULD NOT HAVE NAMED MY COMPANY THIS NAME IF I WASN'T CONFIDENT IN IT BEING JUST THAT AND I CAN PROVE IT ALL DAY LONG."
