I got 5 estimates based on on-site views of the project. Jerold, the proprietor of JustPerfect, gave me the lowest estimate ($3,025), although I didn't understand exactly how he arrived at the estimate. To clarify what I wanted I met him a second time at my house, but this time I not only told him what I wanted but I gave him a typed copy of what I wanted done. He gave me a second estimate that was a little lower ($2,975). I asked about the 10% Angie's list discount. Jerold said he'd give me a discount of $200. I asked about why the discount wasn't $297.50, and he said there was a maximum discount of $200. I emailed him a copy of the Angie's List discount coupon that I had which, at the time, said nothing about a maximum discount of $200 but received no reply. I needed to get the work done, so I said "OK" to the estimate and he proceeded with the work. I expected the work to cost $2,775. My final invoice was for $3,100 (up from the estimate of $2,975 since some extra work was required). I again asked about the Angie's list discount, and was given a discount of $200. I finally paid JustPerfect $2,900, but I think I was overcharged $131: I think JustPerfect should have honored their publicized discount of 10% and given a $310 discount rather than a $200 discount. (The project was finished, the invoice was sent, and the bill was paid before the coupon was modified to include a maximum $200 discount.)

It went very well. I was very pleased with the work that he did and the estimate that he gave me. He was in and out of here in a couple of days. I was very satisfied with the work that he did. I would probably contact him again if I had some more painting to do. He was worth the price. He cleaned up after himself. He put down drop clothes on the stairs and the hallways that would get him into the rooms. He had those covered. We had tried to do some of the wall paper work before and had made a mess of the wall. However, they repaired the wall and it looks great.

The bathroom mirror had been attached with black tar which had to be removed.
The bedroom walls were missing pieces of wood.
He was efficient, professional, and did exactly what he said he would.

They were outstanding. Jerold replied immediately to my request for a quote. He even came out over Memorial Day weekend to do so. Once the job was started, they cleaned up every day, they were very quiet, thorough and flexible. When I changed my mind on the color in one room after they had painted one wall, they were able to darken the paint and finish still in the same day. They were super polite and asked a lot of questions along the way. I would definitely use them again! Our rooms look beautiful. Jerold even brought his supervisor to my home to introduce us prior to the job so I would be comfortable with who would be working on our job. He did not require payment up front. He wanted to be sure we were happy with the job, and we were!

Went very well. I called and asked for an estimate, and an appointment was made with the owner. He showed up on time. Felt he could start work in approx. 2 weeks and was accurate. He and his crew arrived on time each morning. The work took 3 1/2 days. They stripped and repaired drywall in 2 bedrooms and family room. Crew removed drapery hardware and drapes. Replaced hardware when job was completed. Crew was courteous and pleasant.

on time every day - workers are polite, efficient, and careful. cleanup everyday - incuding wiping up floors - removing plastic covers when necessary even thiough they have to be reinstalled next day -= allows you to choose brand of painr although he does recommend
caulked all base boards, painted trim and doors 2 coats, ceilings 1 coat, walls 2 coats except family room 3, All ajoining surfaces are well taped and protected - all surfaces are protected with plastc or cloth drop cloths- after wall paper is removed - walls are well cleaned of all residue and repaired
very pleased with results - we have several friends who use this painter and continue to use as needed - this is our 2nd paint project with them

Exterior Painting
Right from the beginning Just Perfect was much more responsive than the competition. We had an estimate very quickly after making our first call. The price was competitive and the workmanship was excellent. We are very pleased with Just Perfect and the results of their work. The crews were respectful, hard working and cleaned up after themselves. Once they started the work, they were on-site every day that the weather would allow. They worked quickly, while paying attention to details. There was not one problem on this project.

He did a fantastic job. He deserves to be recommended. His name is Jerold Steigman. The crew was very careful to not make a mess. They did beautiful painting work. The walls look great. They were prompt. They worked right up until Christmas Eve to get the job done before family came. They were just terrific. They really knew what they were doing and they did it extremely well. Their pricing was excellent. I probably will use them again in the future.

Wallpaper Removal
After removing the wallpaper from five rooms of my home, Jerold & his crew returned at my request to prep all walls for paint. They covered everything & cleaned up after sanding. Any additional questions I had were promptly answered. If Jerold could take care of my questions, he immediately did so & on his own initiative. He always worked me into an already busy schedule & any costs were nominal. In my opinion, this company went above & beyond what was called for & I thank everyone in that crew.

Wallpaper Removal
Crew of four arrived & started immediately. Worked for solid six hours on a Sunday to accommodate me. Cleanup was very good considering wallpaper removal being such a very messy job. Ran the sweeper & replaced the furniture & heavy pictures. Offered further assistance with wall repair & priming at my convenience & despite a heavy work load which I plan to do. Considering the job they did & the total hours & cost, I would highly recommend this option as opposed to tackling yourself & would highly recommend Jerold & his crew. Thank you Jerold & crew!

Very careful with prep. Spent a lot of time removing paper and repairing walls as wallpaper installation was not properly done. The big challenge was the glaze. There are several methods of glazing and i did not know that going in. As a result the initial glaze was not entirely satisfactory. It was redone and still not satisfied. He made a partial refund for labor and I did the remaining glaze myself. I would definitely have him paint, remove wallpaper but not glaze. To be fair there are very few if any painters willing to do glaze.

Gerald Stigma, owner, gave a quick estimate via email. He was always quick & helpful. His three man crew were excellent & worked hard. They put moved furniture back & did great clean up daily before leaving.

They are hardworking, prompt, and thorough. They are moving furniture around also. They are definitely working for their dollar. They are not lazy. Clean up is super. The kind of people who are not just heard of for referrals. They also did some masonry. The price includes tearing off wall paper, boarders, patching and repairing, and 2 coats of paint.

THE FLOORS WERE LEFT DIRTY EVERY EVENING AND AFTER THE WORK. THE OWNER TOLD THE PAINTERS ON FRIDAY THAT IF THEY WERE DONE EARLY THEY COULD GO PLAY GOLF, ON HIM. I WOULD JUST SAY THEY PROBABLY HAD QUITE A NICE GAME OF GOLF BECAUSE THEY LEFT A TOTAL MESS IN MY HOME. THE OWNER HAD A 30 DAY GUARANTEE, BUT I HAD A BABY WITHIN THAT TIME FRAME AND WAS UNABLE TO FOLLOW UP WITH THAT. THEY ALSO LEFT OUTLET COVERS OFF AND MANY ARE MISSING IN PLACED WHERE THEY ARE HIDDEN (BEHIND REFRIDGERATOR). THERE WERE TWO GENTLEMEN THAT DID EXEMPLARY WORK AND THREE THAT WERE LAME EXCUSES FOR PAINTERS. ONE OF THE MOST DISAPPOINTING THINGS WAS THAT THE OWNER (JEROLD STIEGMAN) WAS HERE NINETY PERCENT OF THE TIME AND THE WORK STILL TURNED OUT POOR. HE DID A GOOD JOB ORGANIZING THE ESTIMATE AND THERE WERE NO SURPRISE IN COST, HOWEVER THE FOLLOW THROUGH WITH THOSE OBLIGATIONS WAS GREATLY LACKING.
