I am not sure I am going to go with them. I asked them to give me an estimate for removing and replacing the skylights, but, they did not recommend replacing it and only gave me the estimate for eliminating it. So, I guess I am disappointed that they did not give me quotes that I asked for.

I expected to need an entire roof replacement, but Lahr inspected it and told me I did not, saving me a load of money. The roof was leaking, and they sent someone out right away to make a quick repair until they could complete the job. They replaced the bad area and it matches the rest of the roof perfectly.

They were great to work with. Did the job in a timely manner and it appears they did it well. The job was finished in November and withstood the snow, ice and rain we've had this winter with no issues. JP Lahr and Sons was recommended by a friend. We then verified their service record through Angie's List.

They did a really good job. It was a flat roof so we had some special request. We had some leaks in one corner but it had always done that so they came back and immediately repaired. They are very prompt when you call them, and they come right back out if there are any problems.

We had skylights put in a long time ago and we had a few issues. Lahr came out and fixed our leaks. They have done a great job, I would recommend them to anyone. I am impressed with their professionalism and I was impressed by them.

They told me they were unable to do the work because they were not currently doing tear offs. Which told me that they would only do the quick and easiest jobs.

"WE DO NOT JUST DO THE "QUICK & EASY WORK!" OUR BUSINESS IS PRIMARILY COMMERCIAL & INDUSTRIAL CONTRACTING (FLAT ROOFS). WE HAVE A TWO MAN CREW TO DO SHINGLE ROOFS OR REPAIRS AND AS SUCH DO NOT HAVE THE CAPABILITY TO DO A TEAR OFF WHICH REQUIRES MUCH MORE MAN POWER. WE DO COMMERCIAL TEAR OFFS WHICH IS AN ENTIRELY DIFFERENT TYPE OF WORK. A GOOD COMMERCIAL LABORER DOES NOT ALWAYS MAKE A GOOD RESIDENTIAL LABORER! WE DO MANY RESIDENTIAL REPAIRS IN THE INDIANAPOLIS AREA THAT OTHER CONTRACTORS DO NOT WANT TO DEAL WITH BECAUSE THEY ARE TEDIOUS, NOT "QUICK & EASY." WE ARE ALWAYS UP FRONT WITH ANY POTENTIAL CUSTOMER AS TO WHAT OUR LIMITATIONS ARE. I FEEL THAT IF WE CANNOT BE OF SERVICE TO THE CUSTOMER THEY SHOULD KNOW THIS DURING THE INITIAL CONTACT. JAMES D.
