While the facilities are not the newest, it's clean and well maintained. The weight area has all core equipment. The gym floor is a little cramped, but adequate and we cannot say enough great things about the child care area.

I go there several times a week, and I don't have any complaints. It is a pleasant place to work out. It is paid for through my company.

Love the Jordan YMCA. It's a very non-threatening place to workout if you are just beginning. They have plenty of people on staff to help and teach you what to do on the equipment. The front desk staff are always great and my kids love the pool and indoor jungle gym.
I did have some concerns about the summer camp, both of my children did not like it. Although, I think this has more to do with them wanting to be with my husband and I, not about camp. It was hard for me to find the person in charge of the specific camp my son was in, I had to call in order to do so. However, with over 600 kids in camp this is understandable. The counselors worked hard to make my 5 year old comfortable and even let him see his brother in another camp to brighten his spirits when he was missing me.
Overall I love the Jordan YMCA and continue my membership there.

The Jordan Y is great. Yes, the building isn't new and the work out center seems packed with equipment, some outdated, but I enjoy my work outs there. The childcare times are great, some of the staff is really nice and I am very happy to be a member there. My family enjoys going to the outdoor pool in the summer and they have a great splash area for the little kids. One perk of being a member is they have Saturday evening babysitting 3 times a month and it's $21 for 5pm-10pm and they feed and entertain your kids! I have been a member for a couple years now and while I have only visited other YMCAs in the city, my husband is able to work out at the new center in Avon since it's near his workplace and it's all apart of the same membership. I am excited for my young son to start playing soccer and T-ball next year in their leagues too.

I am not currently a member of the YMCA. However, I took my daughter to a 6 week swim class to get her used to the water before summer. The Jordan offered classes that were convenient to my schedule. She's not yet 2 years old. The facility was very clean and kid-friendly. Staff were friendly and helpful in every way. The swim class instructor had taught the class before and was well prepared for the 2 and under crowd. She gave helpful advice and instruction on how to help your child adjust to the water. The indoor pool, where the class was held, was always clean and in use. The price for the class was fair and reasonable when compared to others offered around the city. Overall, it was a positive experience for my daughter and I.

It is a good gym, they have good equipment and they also have classes available. They price is covered by my insurance. I haven't been in there for a month because I had broken my foot, but I use them regularly and will again. I rate them highly. I will continue to use them in the future.

It is a very good facility. They are very friendly and very helpful. You can go anytime you want. I started taking my kids there when they were young and now they are in their 40s. I don't pay anything to go there.

I was a member many years ago and have been going recently for 2-3 years. The facilities are very nice and they are reasonable in price. They have most of the exercise equipment that fancier places have. They have a pool. I pay $45 a month. I go there 2-3 times every week. My overall experience is wonderful. I have a nice trainer that I work with. When I have the trainer I work at a specific time and she is always there.

When I first joined, they gave me an appointment with one of their trainers, who put together a little fitness program for me. She showed me how to use all the equipment there. They give me free towels. It's not the fanciest place in the world, but they are fine. There are other places that have a lot more frills. Their classes are all on time, and they open on time.

They are confident, friendly and you can wear whatever you want. They are very helpful, if you don't understand the equipment or need help there is always someone there to help you. With the swimming, we've had a couple of instructors and in the water aerobics and they've all been great. We've visited other YMCAs and they were too foo foo and that's not what I'm looking for. I go to exercise, not to be seen. Most things are free, you do have to pay for a swimming instructor.

Child Care - Center
It went well, except that she was only going to go for 4 days. I would have sent her an extra (partial) week if they had some kind of partial week plan, but they don't give a discount for fewer days than one week.

Pros: WE COULD NOT SURVIVE WITHOUT THE JORDAN YMCA. We are new to town and had a really hard time finding someone to watch our children so that we could exercise and go out occasionally. We also decided to cut down to one spouse working and they have a sliding scale for payment. The facilities are clean and well-staffed. The staff is courteous and helpful. Cons: babysitting can be crowded at peak times. The indoor pool is in desperate need of work. Temperature is always too high for a good workout, chlorine is way too high. Would not use the pool if we could go anywhere else.

Extremely friendly staff. There are very noticeable seasonal differences in the gym crowd. Most often though you're able to exercise without waiting for equipment. A great variety of classes, decent locker room facilities, and childcare. Very excited about the new edition being built.

The staff is very welcoming. You'll find people of all ages and walks of life here, so you never feel out of place. Great programs of which many are free for members. We also utilize the free child care while working out- our little one just loves it!

I have always had positive experiences at the Jordan YMCA. Since I've been a member, I've done the following: had sessions with a personal trainer, taken aerobics, yoga, and pilates, met with a nutritionist, trained for the mini marathon with other YMCA members, and had a personal fitness evaluation done. Everything is reasonably priced, and the staff members are always friendly and helpful. The gym can get a little crowded and parking can be a challenge at times, especially right after the new year, but hopefully the remodeling they're doing will remedy that.
