"Thank you for your feedback. We appreciate your business, and look forward to working for you in the future."
"Hi [Member Name Removed], Sorry to hear that you had some issues. Management likes to know about any type of problem no matter how many days after the move. I will have a claim form mailed to you today so that we can get the piano knob taken care of. The claim form has been mailed to you. Please complete it and return at your earliest convenience and Jones Movers, Inc. will have a repair company contact you about that repair. I also pulled your booking information and I am not sure where the confusion was, but you were always scheduled with 1 truck, 3 movers, and 1 packer. I am sorry if we misunderstood what you actually wanted for your move day."

"I am sorry that your move did not meet your expectations. It is always our goal for complete customer satisfaction and to earn an A in all aspects of the move. I understand your frustration with the glass that was chipped and the glass broken in a picture frame and apologize that this even happened. Insurance for moving companies is regulated by the Federal Motor Carrier Division and is the same for all movers. The only difference between companies is that you can/should be able to purchase additional insurance prior to the move to. This additional insurance will either pay out more by the weight or even replace an item(s) if you have chosen that type of additional insurance. Your move did not have additional insurance purchased, therefore the insurance that comes with your move is .60 cents per pound. Had the damage been something that could have been repaired Jones Movers, Inc. would have hired an independent contractor to repair the damaged item. However, glass can not be repaired and must be replaced, which is where purchasing the replacement insurance would have come into play. Additional insurance was offered to you three times. Once on March 4, 2015 during an in home estimate, once when our office called to confirm your move and finally on the day of the move. You verbally declined the extra insurance during the estimate and during the move confirmation. Then on the day of the move you signed declining insurance. You also have to take into consideration the added cost of the replacement insurance. It is possible that with the payment you received from Jones Movers, Inc. for the damage plus your additional expense to replace the glass it will probably be less expensive than the cost of adding replacement insurance to your move. I can't say this for sure as the cost of replacement insurance would have been something we would have had to have priced prior to the start of the move and is based on the value of your load. I understand that additional insurance is expensive and not something that customer don't want to spend extra money on. Again, I apologize that you were not completely satisfied with your move. From the claim form that was submitted to my office it appeared that the only issues with the move were the 2 pieces of glass."

"As the owner of Jones Movers, Inc. I do take customer satisfaction very seriously. Jones Movers, Inc. has verbal conversations with all clients concerning their moves. In addition to the verbal communication everything that our company is going to do for the client is also put into writing. In the case of a move that leaves the state these communications are put into writing several times and the client signs that he/she agrees and understands the terms of our agreement. The original quote provided to the client in writing that the client signed states that Jones Movers, Inc. would provide the following rates for this move: For the price of $3,000.00 Jones Moves, Inc. would load and deliver to Kentucky a 26 foot truck and a 14 foot trailer. Jones Movers, Inc. would load on August 4th and unload in Kentucky on August 5th. For an additional $650.00 Jones Movers, Inc. would load additional items in a cargo van and deliver to Kentucky. So, if the 26 foot truck, 14 foot trailer and cargo van was loaded and delivered to Kentucky the total price for those services would be $3,650.00. This client was provided with the truck, trailer, and cargo van for the price of $3,000.00 this was a discount to the client of $650.00. This was done because the client was so unhappy that there were some boxes that would not fit in the load. There was not furniture or items left in every room, just a few boxes and a bathroom rack that the client would not allow the crew to take apart for shipment. Things got very confusing at the load site as the husband was insisting that the crew get everything and the wife was stating “if you get these certain items, we are coming back to close on the house and we will get what is left then”. The original quote also talks about the payment and how it is collected and the insurance options available to the client. In addition to the original quote, the client signed a bill of lading and a terms and conditions for an out of state move. The bill of lading and the terms and conditions both state the insurance options and how the payment is collected. The bill of lading also states the rates for this move again. The client called Jones Movers, Inc. office prior to the crew arriving to unload and wanted to discuss damages. Nothing had even been unloaded yet, but he was sure there would be damaged items. Because of this we instructed the crew to have the client inspect each item as it was brought into the new location so that any actual damages could be noted. The client signed a separate area stating that there was no new damage. This was hand written on the bill of lading and signed by the client, so it wasn’t something that was signed prior to unloading or signed without realizing what was really being signed. There are just so many things in the client’s comments that are not true. I don’t know if the client didn’t read any of the contracts prior to the move, forgot what he/she read and signed or is just frustrated and trying to come up with additional items for his member comments. I do know that the clients bill was discounted $650.00, Jones Movers, Inc. picked up and delivered on time and within the specifications of our contract, the client tipped the crew, and that crew spent about half an hour of their own time trying to help the clients locate their lost dog. Prior to leaving Indiana I also had 3 separate people, myself included, trying to explain to the client the rates. These rates were provided to the client on July 15th and because there was no communication that insinuated confusion, our company was confident that Jones Movers, Inc. and the client had clear communication. Prior to leaving Indiana I offered to bring the items back to our warehouse and unload, thus giving the client time to find someone else to transport the items, since he was so unhappy."
