John's Drain Cleaning Service

My shower drain would begin backing up even before I got hot water coming out. By the end of the shower I would be standing in 3-4 inches of water. I had used John's service previously and knew who to call. John came out and tried to snake the line to no avail because of how the piping was installed (a 1954 build and unorthodox angles to say the least). He had an idea to drill a hole in the exhaust pipe in order to get a better path to the clog and it worked! He epoxied the vent hole and taped it over to seal it up. The tub was cleaner than when he arrived and the tub drained as it should. John will try to find a way to get things done and in a manner that is least expensive. Just a good, old-fashioned, independent worker that I would refer to anyone.

I had called one of the chain plumbing companies to clear the drain, using their $93 coupon advertisement. The first thing they did was recommend replacement of a five foot section of pipe because they were afraid using a snake would ruin the piping. This was a $850 job. I politely declined and called Starks plumbing, based on feedback of others. They were booked until next week but were nice enough to tell me to call John's Drain Cleaning service. John came out the next morning and said there was a leak downstairs at a fitting, but thought it was repairable. He snaked the line to remove the clog and used putty and tape to repair the leak. Water flow was restored and he cleaned below my sink better than he found it. Very Impressed with his service!!

He did a great job clearing my drains ,, very professional, very knowledgeable . I highly recommend him , My drains drain better now than they ever had in the 18 yrs I've lived in my home . We called John on Friday morning and he was at our house a couple of hours later. He was very personable, explained everything, was careful, clean, and professional. He fixed the problem, we were pleasantly surprised at the low cost, and we would without question use his services again. I highly recommend John!

Great. Called and they had a live answering service taking messages when the owners were busy. I immediately received a call back from Bonnie. She explained the process and rates. Let me know rates and confirmed that they would not change come day of service unless something extraordinary occurred. I had to coordinate schedules with our tenants and they were patient throughout the process informing me of availability and even letting me know that Saturday was a possibility. Tenants informed me that task was performed well, on-time and within budget.

I was referred to John's Drain Cleaning Service when I called a plumber about a clogged pipe. My washing machine was backing up into the sink in the laundry room when it drained and also flooding the utility room through a drain in the floor at the same time. I called on 4/8/14 and was told that he could be out midday on 4/9/14. I asked them to give me 30 minutes notice so that I could leave work to meet him at my house and they were happy to do that.
On 4/9/14, they called to tell me he would be at my house between 2:15 and 2:30. I pulled up at 2:15 and he was already there. I explained the situation and he looked at the pipes and clean outs. It took some work, but he was able to get a snake into the pipe. He was able to clear the clog fairly easily. After that, he had me fill and drain the washing machine several times to ensure that the clog was gone.
John left behind no mess even though he pulled some pretty gross stuff out of the pipe.
John discussed the disadvantages of cast iron pipes in older homes with me and said that it wasn't unlikely that this would happen again at some point in the future.
It took him less than an hour to complete the work.

We have used John for many years; always a A+ service record. He is prompt, honest and keeps the area clean.

He was very thorough, spent almost 2 1/2 hours here. He did not hurry the job and was very prompt. I was very happy with him. Very friendly and polite. Did exactly what I wanted and fixed the problem.

We had used him before. It is an excellent company. He explains everything that he is doing. He told us what happened, why does the drain clog, etc. He also gave us the tips to prevent it from clogging again. He is very neat and clean. He is very meticulous. He is really good.

John was very helpful and knowledgeable. He didn't seem to mind tutoring us while he worked. The toilets were working fine in no time. But the most incredible part was he only charged us $85!! When was the last time a service person spent almost 2 hours working at your house, and it cost under $100? And this was to fix 2 toilets. We have had John work at our home before, but he works so well and taught us so much we may not need him again! So we would highly recommend that anyone who has a problem with a drain give him a call.
