Jack's Barber Shop

I can honestly say that Jack's Barber shop in the city market is the best barber shop in Indianapolis. Not to be mistaken by other "Jack's Barbershops" this one is located in the market. Brenda has been cutting my hair for the past couple of months now and she is always awesome. The conversations we have in there are hilarious, and she has hired an amazing crew of barbers. One day she was all booked and I got my hair cut by one of her other barbers and it still turned out amazing. I tell all of my guy friends about this place, it is awesome!  Highly recommend it!

It went great! Brenda is super friendly and fun. She made me laugh and feel comfortable. I was very pleased with the hair cut and she even offers free neck shaves in between cuts. I will definitely be going back there in the future!

Couldn't have gone better. Discovered Jack's through a recommendation from a coworker. I called and left a message for an appointment. Brenda was very responsive in calling me back within 15 minutes, and she was able to get me in within the hour. She is very personable and engaging. You can't beat the price for a good barber in downtown Indy. Great haircut. I've found my new barber close to work.

It was great! I am a guy with curly hair, and most people can't seem to cut it right, leaving it either way too short or full of awkward cowlicks. Brenda managed to make it look great - I got a lot of compliments afterwards! She managed to cut it in such a way that even weeks later it still looks good, though it's getting a bit shaggier. I am going back tomorrow for another cut! I can't recommend her highly enough. She and George are also both warm and friendly, and going in feels like talking to old friends. The conversation is great and the haircuts are even better.

My boss told me about a nice barber shop he gets his haircut at in the City Market. I went yesterday. Despite my doubts at first while I was waiting I had a great experience. Brenda and her other stylist are great and get along well together. I was in and out in less than an hour. I love my new haircut and glad I went! I will definitely go again! You can't beat the price!

First of all, I called in based on their Angie's List rating and their proximity to my office. I spoke with Barbara who is a real character. She told me Kelly could fit me in immediately so I was sold. Kelly was very nice and got straight to work. She cut my hair and then shaved my neck and side burns with a straight razor. She told me I need to come in for a hot towel/straight razor shave which costs $15 and I am going to take her up on that. I have always wanted to get one but just never have. Also, an important note is that you can park in the gravel lot just East of the market and pay the $5 and the ladies at Jack's will give you a parking voucher that you can turn into the parking lot attendant and get $4 back if you can't find a spot on the street. Overall, this was a great experience with "real" people.

Brenda is a very cheerful, funny, friendly barber. The shop is on the second floor of the City Market and is fashioned after 1920s barber shops. She owns the shop and takes pride in her work. I was very satisfied with my haircut and will definitely go again. I asked her to cut it a little shorter, and she did in excellent fashion. She talks quite a lot, but that made the experience more enjoyable if a little longer.
