Excellent. Work was begun on time, they stayed on the job until it was completed, cleaned up very well each day - excellent work, reliable, resonable. We have used JD many times over the last 10 years.

I'm beginning to learn my home has more surprises than I could ever imagine. For instance, when Jim started the demo, he immediately found that our old "homeowner special" shoddily constructed glass block window's trim was leaking into the wall. As soon as he found the problem, Jim called to let me know. He also did a great job explaining to me, the layperson homeowner, all the issues that were apparent following the demo (3/8 inch drywall and 2-by-2 studs in one wall, etc.). He dried out the wall using an industrial fan and let me know the best path to proceed by (caulking the window and perhaps replacing it). Getting the window replaced (I hated that thing anyway) caused a few days delay, but Jim communicated everything to me well in advance. He did a great job removing the old window and coordinating with the glass block company to get the site prepped before they arrived to replace it. Once we got rolling again, Jim did a stellar job installing the new cement board backer and getting the plumbing supply liens and fixture properly supported with wood framework. He's got a great working relationship with the plumber who was replacing most of our home's plumbing at the same time, and they worked great together as a team, solving issues as they came up. From the outset, I found that Jim was a perfectionist in his work, always wanting to do the right thing. When he began laying the tile, this became even more apparent ? I've never seen anyone pour as much time, attention and detail into such a small job as Jim did. He really does focus on doing one thing at a time and doing it correctly, which is huge plus in my book. He also got along great with our annoyingly curious dogs, even opening letting them out during the day when I couldn't make it home. When the job was all said and done, Jim did an impeccable job cleaning up when he finished, and my wife and I were extremely pleased with how beautiful and well constructed our new bathroom is. J.D.'s Home Improvement came to us highly recommended to us by a friend and that's the same recommendation I would give to my friends. An excellent, quality contractor who takes pride in his work.
