Home depot was supposed to install a toilet for me and they didn't do a very good job. They were trying to charge me for a service that they didn't provide. I guess they came on time, they weren't prepared though. They didn't come to see what the job was before.

The service was fine and we had no issues. Once we picked out the water heater we had to wait about 4-5 days before they could complete the installation. They took our old water heater with them when they finished the service.

The counter tops are all put on wrong and they need to redo them. We have spoken to them, and they have been out to take pictures, and are going to try to make the work right. We have been back and forth with this company and another. So far, not a good experience.

After some miscommunication and quot;hiccupsand quot;, we were able to schedule the install at a time that suited us best.
They arrived the day of the install by 9am. We were told initially that it would take 4 days to complete, but the installers asked if they could work a little later on the first day and finish the job in 2 days. We readily agreed. The crew was exceptionally nice and readily answered any questions we had. They cleaned up pretty well and even swept our garage!
We were able to return the unused and unopened supplies for a refund..
My only complaint was with the trim they reinstalled. They did not fill the nail holes in the quarter round. It was a simple job and only took me about 15 minutes to do myself.

Door Service

Home Depot installed a patio door for me and my main concern when I purchased the door was the sliding screen was on a track nothing flimsy and that's what I got. I raised my concern with corporate and the local store.
They went as far as sending a rep out to inspect the door and quot; forgot to mention major overspray on both sides of the glassand quot;. The rep never called me back instead turned it over to the local store and it was stated it's the door I ordered. not customer friendly at all.
So I told them I do not want the door and bring my old door back, instead I order a replacement door which cost me an additional $197.00 from Home Depot on Oct 1, 2013. Still to this day I have no replacement door I continue to get excuse after excuse my door keep missing the truck like a kid on the bus stop.

Update Home Depot brought another patio door for install 3-22-2014 after the installers installed the door the locking hardware would not line up properly therefore they had to remove the door and re-install the old new door.

Home Depot the experience was excellent. It was excellent, the installers were knowledgable, they worked from almost the time they got there to the end of the day. It was a good experience. Very professional, clean up, at the end of each day they worked they cleaned everything up, it was excellent.

After having an estimate done I scheduled installation. It took them about 2 weeks to schedule installation. The installers arrived and was able to install the floor in two rooms (living room and den) and then they encountered some damage to the slab in the bedroom. I contracted a company to repair but 2-3 feet of the flooring that was previously put down in the living room and den had to be taken up. Once Home Depot took the floor up and the the slab was repaired Home Depot came back out and reinstalled the taken up flooring and complete the flooring in the bedroom. They were very courteous, helpful, and ontime during this whole process. which took about 6 weeks. A job well done. We are very happy with the flooring, Really looks good

We replaced all the flooring on the first story of our house. We weren't sure if we should use laminate or engineered wood flooring. The salesman spend a lot of time with us explaining the differences, going over pros and cons and instillation tips since we were doing it ourselves. We chose the engineered wood and it looks beautiful! My only complaint is it already has a few light scratches on it but they are only visible if you know they are there. This is probably due to the fact that we have a few dogs who run through the house. I don't blame Home Depot since the salesman did say laminate is best for dog owners since it's more durable - we just liked the look of engineered better so decided to take our chances. I love shopping at this particular Depot. The staff is always so helpful and nice. The store manager even helped me load landscaping bricks into my truck this summer. You don't get that kind of service at most places nowadays.

They were prompt and clean. They took out the old doors and replaced it with the new doors. They cleaned up and so there was nothing for me to do when they left. They resolve all your queries when you call. I would use them in the future.

No complications or "glitches." Even though two companies were subcontracted to do the work (and a plumber also being scheduled in through the process), everything went smoothly, and we experienced little inconvenience. All of the workers were professional and very skilled... we are thrilled with the entire experience.

My initial contact was good - I actually spoke to someone who was knowledgeable and ordered a Webber LP gas grill. The grill was to be assembled and delivered to me. After not hearing anything from HD about the grill, I followed up and was told that the grill was not yet assembled. This went on for several days. I was finally told to come in and pick up my grill – it was finally assembled and ready to go. Store personnel looked all over for the grill I purchased (and they told me to come in and pick up), but could not find it. They then said they found it, but the grill that had been assembled and was ready to go was a model that was about $600 less than the grill I ordered and paid for. I left disappointed with new promises of HD getting me my correct grill. I finally got my grill - HD delivered it to me for free and included a free LP gas cylinder. It was painful, but I did get it and it was assembled correctly and has been nice for the last few years of service. Anyway – That pretty much sums up the Home Depot location on N High School Road – occasionally you get lucky, but usually it’s painful. You just have to be ready to be inconvenienced and go in w/ low expectations. They are close to my home, have a lot of stuff and are typically competitively priced – so they still get a lot of my business. That is the reason I scored most things as "C" - sometimes my experience is A+ there and sometimes F-. You just never know.

We picked Home Depot because of a discount offer on carpet installation. We found the carpet we wanted then a person came over to measure the rooms being carpeted. When the estimates were in we went to place the order on January 15. We had requested a mid-grade padding but the estimate said we wanted premium padding so that had to be changed. Also we said we would move the furniture ourselves but the estimate included charges for furniture moving. That was fixed also. We paid for the carpet and installation and waited for a phone call to let us know when the installation was being done. After no contact for a few days I called Home Depot on January 20 and asked what was going on. The employee said that the carpet had been cut and he would call the installers to find out when they would be coming. The installers called the next day and came out the following day and did the work. They did a decent job of installing the carpet and the new flooring looks good.

We went to Home Depot looking for wall shelves for our office. We were greeted immediately when we walked in. We headed to the back looking for where shelves were and when we got to the back, were greeted again. This sales associate asked if he could help us, and when we asked where the shelves were, he walked us to the shelving aisle, helped us choose an appropriate solution for our needs (without being overbearing-he just offered useful suggestions here and there) and then walked with us to get the anchors for the wall and the part for our electric screwdriver. From start to finish, this was the most pleasant, warmest shopping experience I have ever had in Home Depot. When we asked for a manager to praise this sales associate, the sales associate we talked to was also extremely warm and friendly, and then the manager of the store was also really nice. It was just a completely pleasant experience and I couldn't say enough good things about it. I really hope they keep up this kind of customer service and continue to have enough staff on duty so that they can provide this kind of welcoming environment, because this experience could easily set the standard in customer care, especially in today's too-busy-to-give-a-darn retail environments. Kudos to this Home Depot!!! (And tip to other shoppers: head over there on a weekday morning and see if you don't also have a fantastic experience like we did!)

They did a good on the electrical work and the plumbing but the had to redo the floors four times. They hired sub contractors. They also did a good job on the cabinet work. It took a lot longer than it was suppose and we would not use them again in the future.

I ordered the granite on May 27, 2008, and was told that from ordering date to install would be approximately 3 weeks. On June 2, 2008, I visited the store to pick up my new sinks (It was important to have the sink templates available for when the measurements would be taken). At this time, I was informed that the manufacturer did not have my stone in stock and that they would have to order it from Brazil and that it would take 5-6 weeks to get it. I agreed to wait. After measurement, the order was "put in the computer" on June 7th. I was finally given an install date of July 22nd, so I scheduled a plumber to come out and disconnect all plumbing. On July 21st at about 1 PM, I was informed that the install would be rescheduled because one of the installers had a family emergency. I quickly called to put the plumber on hold, but they could not reschedule. Another set of installers was scheduled to come out between 3 and 6 PM on July 23rd. They finally showed up around 7PM, which had us upset because they never notified us they were running late, They installed the countertop, but discovered that the backsplash that they had brought was the wrong size. Further investigation revealed that the measurements had been correct, but the factory cut it wrong. The Manufacturers Regional Sales Rep came to our home during the install to see how the new stone looked, and he was aware of the problem, as was George, the Home Depot kitchens rep. I was told that it would be 2 more weeks before they would return with the corrected backsplashes. Interestingly, we had two flat tires on a car the next day(possibly from debris left on the driveway?). Late last week, I was told by George that he had been told that the backsplashes would be installed this week, but I was never called with a time. When I checked with George at Home Depot today, he expressed great frustration with the manufacturer because he received an unintelligible phone message saying there was another problem and I would not be getting them this week. George has been unable to get answers, has had his manager attempt to get answers, and has given me the 800# of the manufacturer's customer care rep. I have called him twice, and have ascertained that he is in the office today, but he has not returned my phone calls. I would like this nightmare to end, and I would like to be able to finish the rest of the kitchen. I would also like them to secure my dishwasher to the bottom of the countertop so that it is not "tippy." Never pay in full before a job is completed because you lose all your leverage. While I realize that the problem is with the manufacturer rather than Home Depot directly, they are the ones who chose to contract with this company, therefore they are ultimately responsible for this mess. PS: The countertop portion is beautiful.

I waited for a long time without anyone helping me. I asked one person who worked there if they could help me, and they said the person who worked that department was at lunch. I was very exasperated by the whole experience.

I asked a floor person where repair parts for dishwashers would be. He was unsure and radioed for assistance. The radio person said to check in appliances. I asked the floor person where the appliances were and he did not know so he radioed in. The radio person provided unclear (not aisle or rows) direction by referring to other department areas. The floor person took me to where he thought appliances were but ended up in wrong direction. Another floor person corrected him and we finally got to the appliances. Turns out that Home Depot does not stock dishwasher repair material!

Home Depot's associated countertops company was very unprofessional. First, I had to pay $65 for measurement. They were untimely to the measurement appointment. At the measurement appointment, the measurer refused to measure for countertops because a small raised portion of the countertops would need to be removed before measurement. Therefore, they wasted my time and money. Second, the quote they gave me was $300 more than other quotes I had received for the same design. Finally, the time it would take me to get new countertops was 3-4 weeks. The company I did business with provided their service within 1 week.
