Great sales experience, not too pushy. It was just the right amount of advice and info to feel like I was making an informed decision. Delivery truck was a little late, but they kept me well informed so it wasn't a problem. Upon arrival, they had the couch inside and set up in minutes. Despite moving so quickly, they were very careful about not hitting my doorframes or walls on their way in. And the couch looks fantastic!

It took 6-8 weeks, but sure enough, they contacted us and set up an appointment for last week. The service technician arrived on time and did a careful, professional job. The problem is solved.
Normally, one might complain that the problem came up in the first place. While this may be true, it is important to me that Haverty's stood behind their product. and that they fixed it in a professional manner. They have a customer for life.

I've purchased furniture from several furniture stores over a 20 year period but this store has been a refreshing change from the time I walked into their store - to the delivery. Neda was outstanding in assisting me with the selection of furniture. She provided a folder and pictures of the the furniture I had selected. The delivery was absolutely different and refreshing in that the drivers called ahead of time to advise of their approximate arrival time, came in with drop cloths to protect our carpet, dressed professionally, asked me if I was satisfied with everything before they left. I was a little apprehensive since my husband wasn't with me when I selected the chair and Ben explained if he didn't like it they would put it back on the truck same day or come back in 3 days to pick it up for a return. I noticed a loose thread and as soon as I called they were quick to send out a technician to look at it and work on it for resolution. I was treated like a most valued customer and I love the service in addition to the furniture we purchased.

Overall the experience was awful. Our initial sales person was nice and easy to work worth. The ordering process went smoothly. The delivery process was the nightmare. We ordered our formal dinning rooms set in September hoping it would be delivered and useable by Thanksgiving, but I guess we were wrong. Since we live in Greenwood they only delivered there every other Friday if I remember correctly and only would give you a range of times they would be there. A range of times is fine as long as you don't have to take 5 Friday's off from work to be there. The first time they delivered our set, chairs were damaged and so was the china and buffet. Instead of offering to replace everything they called in for the service rep to come repair the furniture. If I wanted repaired furniture I would have bought it from a second hand store. At the end of it we went through three buffets (still being a repaired one in the end), two china cabinets and I can't remember how many chairs and seat cushions. Oh, and we lost 8 sets of formal flatware in all the switching around. So that was another $700+ out the window. The company offered no money back for defective products and the huge amount of time that had to be taken off so they could fix their mistakes. I complained many times to their customer service and wrote a complaint and only receied a phone apology. I will never shop at this store again and would not recommend them to anyone.

We worked with Sherry at Haverty's and had a surprising good experience. I typically do not enjoy the "hard sell" I often get when going to furniture stores. Sherry was not aggressive and very helpful. She listened to my needs and did not try to oversell me on something more expensive. After we purchased the items and got them home, we realized that the set was not a good fit for our home. Sherry was very helpful in returning the items.

We were told that it could be 6-8 weeks before the chairs would be delivered. They called after 8 weeks and said they would be delivered the next week, but did not have a time. I called them the afternoon before the delivery date and was given a time that was not convenient. (This was an automated number). I called the store and they said that they had no control over the delivery schedule, but they could delay the delivery to another date. I told them no, and re-arranged my appointments. When the chairs were delivered, one had a fabric flaw and a large dirty mark on it. I called and they said they could switch with a new chair in about 10 days. I also asked about the fabric protection, as I had taken plain water and dripped it on the chair. It soaked in immediately. I also wondered how it could get a large dirty mark if it was protected. I was assured it was protected, but I wonder about spills. When they delivered the new chair they were supposed to come between 12:00 and 2:00. Shortly before 2:00 they called and said they would arrive within an hour, which they did. I would hesitate to shop there again.

Fabulous. We had looked at a handful of furniture stores before walking in the door at Havertys. At Havertys we did not feel pushed into a purchase. We were replacing a well lived in Sofa Set that was fifteen years old. Mr. Peachey was fabulous to work with. He followed up with emails. The customer service all around this company is wonderful.
