Randy Green Green Custom Framing and Carpentry My goal was to expand, reconfigure, totally update, and make handicap accessible a 1750 sq ft ranch to make it a “perfect home” for retirement. I was familiar with Randy’s work (Green Custom Framing and Carpentry) based on a neighbor’s recommendation and the beautiful, expansive, renovation Randy had completed on their home. Randy and architect Glenn Gareis worked together as a team to seamlessly implement this renovation. This was an expansive project and total redesign of the existing structure, which included adding on rooms and taking most of the home down to the studs. Randy explained the process and presented many choices as I added changes. As we got into the project, he suggested some cost-saving design options, which we all signed off on to achieve optimal outcome. He was extremely thorough, detailed, and professional. He clearly communicated throughout the process. He and the architect held weekly meetings throughout with me to review work completed, next steps, budget, timelines, and design decisions. He was always available to explain and educate. He responded and communicated in a very prompt and timely manner regarding any questions or information requests. I valued, trusted, and implemented Randy’s professional advice and opinion based on his knowledge of latest best practices, product choices, and durability. Follow -up was excellent. Any renovation is complex, but Randy, working with his team and the architect, made this whole process “fun and enjoyable.” Absolutely delighted with the result. My home is now open, airy, and beautiful and would recommend Randy’s work to anyone. His architectural design took a dream to reality. I would recommend Randy and his excellent work ethic to anyone wanting a beautiful home.

Randy (owner) personally came to our house and walked us through all of the work that would be done. He was thorough and very creative with ideas for how to make things better. He managed the project throughout and worked hard to keep our kitchen as functional as possible through the process. The work area was kept clean and dust free and all of his workers were friendly, professional, and honest. The end result is magnificent and we are thrilled! We hope to have an addition to our house in the next couple of years and definitely would use Randy again.

Everything Randy Green has done for us has been top-notch. He is meticulous and creative, figuring out how to make repairs that perform at least as well as the original, if not better. Five years ago, he also did all the framing on a 53-foot-long dormer that now holds our master suite (the cost listed here is just for the more recent repair work). The dormer incorporated a screened porch and had a number of special challenges, including a large, custom skylight opening that flares out at complex angles. He has also replaced multiple windows in the home and was very helpful in figuring out how to enlarge existing openings while maintaining structural integrity (a benefit of using a framer to do repair work!). Randy has also done repairs to rotting landscape structures, again with great results.

Randy took care of the details, beyond my expectation. For example, he put stops for the doors on the base board, which matched the main floor construction. He was very particular about the drywall finish, which I appreciate. I had asked him to have it done by the end of April, my wife's birthday. He thought I meant end of March. He worked really hard, coming by a few evenings and completed it by end of March. The quality of the work was really good.
He does a good job cleaning up each day and is unobtrusive, which my wife appreciated.
This was a small job for Randy and he worked it on rainy days when his crew could not be outside. This worked out very well for us..

He was there and he cleaned everything up. He just did everything which was nice because I didn't have to call someone else to clean out my gutters and then put in a new one plus do all of those other things. The price was awesome. We paid him by the hour and it wasn't much compared to other things. The quality of his work was good. We had another handyman that came out before and he had to fix some of the stuff that guy did because that guy did such a crappy job. I was satisfied with his responsiveness and don't remember it being a problem.

From the very beginning when he came out to give an estimate, Randy (owner) was professional, honest and best of all - on time! We wanted the squeaking in our bathroom floor fixed and a new hex tile floor installed. We also wanted our screen door fixed as it was not closing properly. Randy and one other worker were able to quickly remove all the bathroom fixtures, remove the floor, fix the squeak and start working on installing the new floor. Randy and team were there every morning promptly at 8:00 and seemed to work the entire day without breaks. He and his team did a great job on the new floor and we couldn't be happier with it. He also fixed the screen door and it works great. I would definately use them again!

After seeing Randy Green's work at a neighbor's, I asked him to give me an estimate for a pergola for my patio. He was very responsive, prompt and his estimate was $1,000 less than a landscaping company I had used before. He listened to what I wanted and walked through the design with me. During the construction, he and his assistant were very professional and very careful to not disturb the existing brick patio and shrubs. Randy's attention to detail was impressive and the pergola turned out to exceed my expectations. Because his estimate was so much lower than the first company I contacted, I was able to make the pergola a little bit bigger, and could ask Randy to add conduit for wiring. It was a pleasure to work with them, and I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone who needed framing work done, or outdoor structures built.
