Gutting your kitchen is stressful to say the least, As a women I relied on my team to get this done with as little aggravation as possible. So when issues arise feeling ignored and not heard is very frustrating. Very dissatisfied and disappointed in this entire experience with Granite America. There is a lack of attention to detail, a lack of communication and in my opinion a lack of professionalism in the light of the many mistakes made on my install. From the beginning my sales men Mike didn’t explain the process or check in with us before installing to make sure we knew what was about to happen. I got an email from someone I didn’t know or communicate with so the check list info went to my junk folder automatically. The install day was such a mess, they were grinding granite in my kitchen the dust was insane inside of all my new cabinets, they didn’t tell me to move anything from inside my cabinet so it was a horrible mess and all over, yes I covered things but if I knew that was a possibility I would have closed off the kitchen to the rest of the house. Removed everything from inside the cabinets and/or covered them. Being in the business of construction and restoration I know unforeseen issues / mistakes can come up on any job, it’s how a business deals with those issues that set them apart. Granite America fell short. My list of issues and mistakes. -Installing wrong pieces of backsplash that clearly don’t match or line up, -breaking my Kinetic water valve, -under mounted sink had big gaps, installer later said the sink was warped, -the sales man Mike went on and on about invisible seams, our seams are hardly invisible or smooth, installer said the can’t get any better, -I live in a cedar cabin and they glued a backsplash to my cedar wall, this really upsets me, cedar is very delicate and there is no way to get that off without destroying that cedar panel, that cabinet is free standing next to the fridge, I wished they would have asked. -that same cabinet is where they installed the granite counter crooked because the cabinet wasn’t attached to the cedar wall, for a reason. - granite counter was short on one side of the stove, it doesn’t go to the end of the cabinet. All of these things I communicated to my sales man Mike and the guy who sent me my invoice, Jose. Mike only called me once and didn’t reply to any of my last emails, after a second email and a few days went by Jose finally replied with an apology and stated he wanted to fix things and that he would have the “owner” contacted me, that was 2 WEEKS ago! No calls, no emails, but they did cash my check! Luckily for us my carpenter who has been in charge of remodeling my kitchen was able to fix most of the issues, to keep me on schedule for completion. I definitely wont recommend Granite America to any clients or friends. It’s unfortunate, my kitchen is beautiful but the counters are not what I was told they could be.. and now I have to live with it.

Not well . It was rough from the get go. From sending out a person that was not very familiar with the measuring process to the last straw which was they were wanting to cut off my new cast iron sink because they did not cut the granite correctly and this was their way of making it work. Never again would I consider them nor would recommend this company.
Response from GRANITE AMERICA
"[Member Name Removed], We apologize for any inconvenience we may have caused you. We have already authorized a complete refund. The mistake occurred when you came to do the layout and we made changes to the template. Our policy on the terms and conditions states that changes should not be made after the template. When there is a question regarding the template or any measurement, we schedule a re template which we should have done. We take full responsibility for the mistake because we allowed a change with out retemplating. That is why we have given you a full refund! Cutting sinks are common! Many cabinets are 30 inches in width and most sinks are 31 inches(including the lips) especially larger cast iron sinks. Therefore, we cut the sink to make them fit the cabinet! We have a 100% satisfaction guarantee, so we would have don't anything and everything to satisfy you. You refused to let us fix any issues you may have had. I believe you lost faith in us, and that is why we offered and delivered a complete refund because we stand by our product. We wish you the best of luck with your remodel."

This is more of a "wholesaler" than a retail shop. Therefore, some of the work is on the customer. However, the pricing is so attractive that it is worth your time and effort. The staff was a pleasure to work with. I just happened to arrive during a "remnant" sale and I was able to find a piece of granite for a bathroom vanity (approx 5 feet wide) in the remnant section. Including the labor for cutting, polishing, adding the under mount sink and the edging, the total price was $340. As the customer, I had to provide measurements for the cuts/which were final! My contractor was able to help me with the numbers. They were prompt on providing the finished produce (about one week). I am very happy with the final quality.

I found them on Angie’s List.  It was an easy process.  We went to their office to pick out the countertops and they came out to do the templates and then came out to install so it was pretty easy.  They were friendly and quick, got in and out.  It was good.

First - you want to work with Lauren. She is in sales. She will give you the best advice and the best price.
Then- Rocco and Phil will come to install the tops. THEY ARE AMAZINGLY GOOD at what they do. Phil is also an interior designer.
This company is genuine and worked with me and my very short timeline to finish the kitchen. They are extremely accommodating.

We contacted them after our friends used their services and we saw the work. They still offer $39 a square foot as the installed price and they outprice all other companies. We worked closely with a woman in the showroom while we chose the granite. They are very easy to work with and they offer many different patterns to choose from. They came to take the measurements and came then came back the next day to complete the installation. Two men completed the work in just one day. They were so quick and professional with the work. They did such a good job that we can't even see any seams. They got it all done very timely and left no mess behind with their clean up. I am very pleased with the work they did and would hire them again.

We visited the show room in the Park Fletcher area. We arrived with some basic measurement's I had taken of our kitchen. Kelly quickly figured up the rough size of our counter tops and gave us a sf number. They give you a card with a color code and you go out to the yard to look at the stone yourself. No high pressure sales. We found several colors we liked and because Kelly had given us our size we had a rough estimate of what we where spending which was nice.
We where in between homes and we had a pretty tight schedule. They told us they could meet our production schedule for our move week.
On Monday two men arrived. One was a older man and a young guy. I asked how long these guys had been doing this and one was 3 months and the other 4 months. This was not a real confidence builder. They laid out the templates for the counter tops.
They have you sign these for your approval. I had to stay on top of this process. The template needed some adjusting. I think the young guy would had let it go had I not insisted he adjust it in the back.
They gave us the templates' and we took them down to the yard to layout our project. This was great.
They older guy arrived on Thursday to do the install with a new employee.
The install went well. When they asked me to approve the install I noticed the back of the main counter was not flush to the wall. I asked about it and the older gentlemen who spoke very broken English insisted it was normal. I could stick my pinky between the wall and the counter. I insisted they adjust this. He then quickly went out and got the templates to try and show me I had signed off on this. This was just a matter of how you adjusted things. They finally made some adjustments and we got the gap to a acceptable space. We are planning to tile the back splash so a small gap would be ok. They are used to placing a piece of granite for a small back splash and I think it is normal for them to have larger gaps. They knew in the office what we where doing and I explained it to the men who built the template. They finished up and left. When I challenged them on the gaps they went to speaking in Spanish. I find this really offensive when I am in the conversation and everything is in English and suddenly when it is not going right you can't understand what is being said. Not a real great customer experience in my opinion.
Later that evening I was loading the dish washer and it would not open and close properly.
I had to take lower front of the dishwasher off and lower it just a small amount. When I did this it started to tilt out like it was falling. I knew it only needed 2 screws to go up into the metal plate that had been installed with the counters over the dishwasher opening.I picked up a few and none worked.
I called the office asking if they had a screw for this. They said they would drop some by. No offer to come out the next day and really fix the situation. They told me Friday no show on the screws. They finally brought some the next week. I installed the screws my self.
Here is my assessment of the experience with Granite America.
First
The stone looks Awesome! The price is great. They met a tight time line.
Second
You have to take out yourself the old counter tops. They do not do that or so I was told.
You have a language barrier with the guys in the field.
You have to manage the project some
You might have to do some small things like I did.
I was told they would haul away the old counter tops. When I asked the installers about it they played dumb like it was not normal. I saw piles of them in the yard when we picked our stone. They would have left them if I had not been on top of it.
If you are willing to manage things a little you will be pleased with the stone you get. I know there are other companies who have more field experience and field personal don't have language barriers but you pay nearly twice what these guys can do.
I paid $2300 for our kitchen and we are super pleased with the price and the quality of the finish on the stone. We got a great product for a great price. We will be having them back later this year to do some bathrooms when we remodel those.
Kelly in the office was great to work with. We also got a follow up call from a gentleman asking about how things went. Again the language barrier couldn't understand the name.
I gave them a B over all more for the field guys not he product, price or the office. The in home service is where it is at and this team needs to tighten up a bit. Again we would use these guys on future projects they just don't have the service experience locked down yet.

Price, product, and installation were all good. When we walked in, we did not know that the advertised price did not include removal of old countertop,  kitchen sink, and connecting back the kitchen faucet and garbage disposal (they don't do plumbing).
Removal of old countertop and sink is provided as optional service for additional $350. New kitchen sink, if bought with them then no extra charge for cutting out the granite, but if we buy our own sink then additional $100. We came to know about the additional charges only when we started going over the paper work.
It would have helped with our budget planning, if they had mentioned in the ad saying, "Additional charges for countertop removal and kitchen sink".
The installer did a good job and granite looks really nice. I would recommend them to a friend.

.I did my homework and after checking Angie's list and comparing price and product with several area granite dealers we settled on granted America finding them to be very informative and helpful with choosing our new countertops. We found that granted America had an excellent selection of granite. our new countertops were produced in a timely manner and when the workers tend to install our new countertops they were very courteous and informative about the process of installing our new countertops and answered all my questions. I would recommend granted America to anyone looking for granite countertops .

Went to Granite America stone yard to check out prices. Kelly was a great helping us to pick out just the right piece of granite, at the right price. She can show you all the granite in your price range. Without trying to sell you a higher priced piece of granite.

The next week 2 techs came to make the template. That went smoothly and only took about an hour. they did everything in a professional manor. The following week we went to the yard to approve our template. We could have had the granite installed the next week, but the installation was delayed because of a backordered sink. The delay was o.k. because we had other work being done at the same time. The installers were great. It took about 21/2 hours to complete. Everything cleaned up, old counter tops hauled away. All in all it was a good experience, with personalized service you don't get with other companys.

They installers arrived on time and worked quickly. the countertops looked very nice. I was pleased with them.  As it was raining that day, they did have to cut the granite insdes around the dropin stove and it did leave  a lot of dust on all my pots and pans and silverward int he drawers.  If I had know that<,i would have taken everything out prior.  but overall very good and excellent price and  sellections of granite.  I like how you can pick out your own slab and place the template of your countops so itss exactly how you would like it!!
