Our HVAC system was ailing and Godby did a fantastic job from top to bottom. They diagnosed that it needed to be replaced (not repaired), were clear about our options in terms of size / SEER, and were generally excellent in terms of customer service. Their price was more than reasonable - actually the lowest bid we received on the job. Install was professional, quick, thoughtful with regards to our family's space and time. The unit works incredibly well, and the follow-up customer service has been excellent as well. Highly recommend Godby.

I contacted Godby for what I thought was 2 simple plumbing issues...a running toilet and a spray hose to the kitchen sink that needed replaced. When I called to schedule, I specifically asked about pricing. I was told there would be a $79 diagnostic fee then the cost would be stated before the work would be done. She did NOT tell me the charges would be $120/hour (RIDICULOUS!) and that there would be a one hour minimum. As expected, the plumber arrived and within 10 minutes told me I needed a new flapper for the toilet and a new hose for the kitchen faucet. He went out to the van to get the parts only to come back in and tell me it would be $120/hour on top of the $79 diagnostic fee...plus parts (approximately $23) so basically $223 for work that would take no more than 15 minutes to complete both! I called Godby and explained that I NEVER would have scheduled with their company if she would have been forthright in the beginning and truthful in stating the one hour minimum. Talk about GOUGING the customer. I paid the diagnostic fee and sent the plumber on his way. He was nice and it wasnt his fault but he did track muddy water on his shoes all over my kitchen floor and did not offer to clean up his mess. There are 100s of plumbers in Indianapolis and I absolutely would NOT recommend this company to any family or friends. Shame on you, Godby, for your price gouging!

After listening to it many times, we can see how we failed to communicate exactly how our pricing works for plumbing. From listening to the phone call, it is also obvious there was some confusion on both sides about what one of the plumbing repairs was that was needed. We were in no way trying to price gouge you or pull something over on you. We can see how we could have better explained to you how our plumbing rates work. We apologize for this and the experience you had with Godby and have discussed how we can improve on our end in order to clearly communicate this information to others going forward. Godby repair person arrived the same day I called. He took off the faucet spigot to check the washer, but it was in good shape. Then he reattached the spigot and tightened it down firmly. The leak stopped. He went out to his van because I asked "how much do I owe you" and returned to say the work was free, as part of the free estimate that Godby offers to all customers. I was very pleased!

Routine. Only issue I have with Godby is they have problem with employee turnover. It has never been a problem for us but makes one wonder what is going on. Wonder if all HVAC companies have the same problem.

I called Mr Rooter to get a price and they wouldn't quote one unless they came out to my house. Godby had the price on the website, with a couple different sizes and options, and you could buy it online. Did that! Right after buying the service online, they called to set up the appointment for the next day. The service tech showed up on time and was great to work with. Out the door within an hour. Great experience!!

The uniformed service provider came promptly, completed the job successfully, and acted professionally and cordially at all times. He was in the house with just my wife and young son, and everyone felt safe. So that was very good. On the phone, I was informed that the price would be approximately $240, though in person, I was told it would be $240 plus a travel charge of approximately $50. I later called them to explain that I was not informed of this travel charge; they reviewed their records and agreed they had not informed me accordingly, and issued me a refund via check. Overall, this is a good company. $240 for a water filter installation is a good price, but $290 (what it would have been had the travel charge been applied) is too high in my opinion based the time I got the service done (October 2017) in the market I'm in (Zionsville, IN). I might consider Godby for some other work in the future. My overall opinion of them is positive.

It went very well. Godby was very prompt and professional in their response. In addition to the leaky water pipe, the plumber detected a broken shut-off valve. Both issues were cared for in a timely and professional manner. I was very appreciate of the thorough inspection of the plumbing issues at my residence.

Overall good. There was some miscommunication right away on an Angie's List deal I was told could cover the project but was then told it wouldn't. Godby worked with me on it and was able to use the cost of the deal towards the job.
